  1. I bet it's a quicker queue than the concourse at St Mary's...
  2. Excellent - that **** arrogant journo met his match -almost like an Alan Partridge interview, you'd swear it was a set up, hilarious.
  3. I suspect that the grammatical and structural crimes in the article were actually a result of this copy being on the website rather than the print paper itself, and set out by some work-experience teen, not the author themselves. If you read the Daily Telegraph website (or any other national daily for that matter) you will find the proof reading and layout to be well below print standards.
  4. Definitely going to develop a Dutch accent now overnight.
  5. Suckers can **** off. Taste of their own medicine. One damp squid of a year for Lallana and co in the CL then back to the Europa scrapheap!
  6. Serves Judas Lallana right - he'll now only get one damp squib of a year in CL football as Liverpool sink back to their natural position of 5th-8th. And watch Lovren back pedal like a maniac...
  7. Yea, my face hurts from laughing so much.
  8. Should be a club announcement then, after 0900?
  9. Big ting a Guan.
  10. There's a long way to go in this window, which on one hand is lucky given our problems but also long enough to lose Lovren and Schneiderlin for certain. Furthermore, the departures can only make us less attractive to quality incoming replacements who will generally hold out for more ambitious clubs and keep us as a fall back position for late in the window if that doesn't work out. This means we are likely get the more mediocre players who are coming here late on, feeling somewhat disappointed and with their egos bruised. Not a great basis for the new season.
  11. That looks like a Milton Keynes secondary school on a sunny day.
  12. Impossible to call presently because we simply haven't got a clue what the team will be. We have already lost our 3 best players. The next tier down may also be on their way if the rumours are to be believed. But realistically, it is not looking good in any objective view presently, even if Koeman is a virtual miracle worker and we get some signings.
  13. The last time the words "total football" were banded about St Mary's, we actually produced total crap.
  14. What a complete caarnt.
  15. That monstrous, elevated, steel basketball court thingy in his back garden told you all you need to know about the fellow's character.
  16. Do you know what? we've fukcing mugged liverpool!
  17. MLT's - a far more complex set of movements and control. Gazza's was wonderful and part of a superb tournament - the last decent England tournament and atmosphere in the country - but just not as special in itself.
  18. Pass the sick bag please...
  19. Lama sound more like a pillock with every revelation...
  20. I got a sneaking feeling we'll have the last laugh in all this...
  21. A new Era begins today. From what I read about Koeman, he's seems the perfect fit for this tricky task of rebuilding. The enthusiasm for bringing on youth from the academy in particular. Be interested how we mitigate the impending losses of Lovren and Morgan. I guess Cork/Wanyama and this new midfielder Tadic will be part of the answer. Also, can Osvaldo be rehabilitated? And what of Gaston? I'd actually like to see us keep both and see if the new regime can bring them both a fresh slate.
  22. This is an excellent point.
  23. Master Bates? Or Captain Pugwash?
  24. Fans, who are by nature sentimentalists, will naturally feel deep disappointment at the break-up of what will, with time, be remembered as a legendary Saints team that rose from the depths of league one to tweak the noses of Giants. The players however, are professionals, and as such have little or no room for sentimentality, and cannot be castigated for moving to jobs with more prestige, more prospects, and more money. They'd be silly not to, and who here hasn't or wouldn't, do the same in their own careers? It is big business, but with a uniquely emotionally-involved customer base. This is the fundamental dissonance that exists in the weird business that is football in the modern era. We will rebuild, re-invent and move on with a new team to love.
