  1. Tempted to get one again for the first time since Pellegrino was in charge, corner safe standing looks tempting at £499 spread over 10 months.
  2. I don't think he really did any better than Edozie would have if he'd kept starting.
  3. Lavia in fairness got injured after 32 minutes and was out for the season. I think he would have been starting for them...although we obviously knew how fragile he was as we kept taking him off with 20+ minutes to go in every game.
  4. Good way of looking at it. Lets get Tim Ream, Angelo Ogbonna or Willian in on player/coach deals. Pay them a players wage to play less than 10 games and coach our youngsters with no experience or qualifications.
  5. I'd also take Broja. We only need someone that's going to get 10 goals to keep us in the league really with the rest of the team chipping in with a couple.
  6. The management of the club have changed. We haven't.
  7. But less than 14 games (935 minutes in total!) as that apparently was "too much football" last season.
  8. No, but the news out the club was that he'd told them he'd refuse to play if we didn't let him talk to Liverpool.
  9. Saints are on fire, Polystar Plastics terrified...
  10. Yeah fair point. Hopefully the plan is to keep using Armstrong on the right wing. We played him on the left before in the Prem and he wasn't particularly effective.
  11. Now he doesn't, but he was signed as a striker.
  12. "canistrum ultra-exactionem cancri"
  13. My favourite quote from that article;
  14. I agree. What's that got to do with him as a player today?
  15. I always thought it was a rule now that you had to have plain backs but apparently it's not? Why do so many clubs do it?
  16. The first sign of a top 6 club being interested in him he was signing their shirts while he was still our captain, less than a year after signing a bumper new 5 year contract with us.
  17. West Ham I think will struggle. They've traded their manager for one who I'm not convinced is any better solely off the fact he managed Real Madrid for 5 minutes.
  18. No, but he did rely on being agile and twisting and turning a lot which probably contributed to his long list of injury problems - and will only get worse as he approaches 40 years old. Seriously, if people were against the idea of Fonte coming back at 38/39 who was fit as a fiddle his entire career at centreback, who was a consummate professional, I can't believe there are people OK with taking a 36 year old Lallana who has always struggled with his stamina and fitness who's main piece of advice for youngsters would be take the move to a bigger club as soon as you can.
  19. I mean he's 26 so not that young 😂
  20. Been a fan of him for a long time, would absolutely take him.
  21. Yeah I thought that's what it was, but that just reinforces my point. All he did was land face down on the ground and he managed to dislocate his shoulder. Not even sure he's as sturdy as glass.
  22. Absolutely not. Brooks was great in a couple of games but inconsistent and that was at Championship level, but the reason to avoid signing him again was just how fragile he is. Watch his injury in the final - all he does is fall over forwards and he seriously injured his arm/shoulder. Really sad for him but I honestly don't think I'd even take him on a free.
  23. Love the shot of the fans from the far end of the stadium during freed from desire.
  24. Yep, he can come in and tell all our quality youngsters that when an opportunity to move comes along you take it because you don't know when another one will come. Oh and also you should definitely get your agent to contact Liverpool, special club them.
