I said this about the Sheffield Weds goal we conceded. People were moaning the fact that Smallbone was marking the player who scored, when all he had to do was jump at the right moment to disrupt the attackers view of the ball and nudge him slightly out of position. I don't have a problem with having two players assigned "zones" while the rest man mark, with the two players attacking the ball to clear it if it's heading for their area and the man markers just focusing on disrupting the attackers. But to assign half our team to zones is mental.

I don't think anyone had even considered a scenario in which we keep Lavia but sell JWP.

Exactly, clubs that size aren't going to win regularly. If he stays on as a coach he may be with them when they win a trophy again in another 20 years.

Me and my brother used to take a family friends kid, young lad about 14 to the games. One wintery game there were piles of snow all around the stadium where they'd scraped it aside. Thought it would be funny to pick him up and throw him into it, watch him sink into the soft fluffy snow and struggle to get himself out. It had compacted into hard ice. In front of hundreds of bystanders we launched a 14 year old lad onto rock solid ice and nearly caved his spine in. Was still funny. (Disclaimer - I don't think this is "crazy", but it's certainly the moment I most wanted to run and hide when it happened. Really embarrassing).

100%, to see your team playing abroad in a competitive game is superb. Almost as good as it gets for a club our size, besides winning a League/FA cup. Did Milan and Vitesse Arnhem away and they were two of the best football trips i've ever done.

We should sign Frazer Richardson again and play him as a sweeper just in front of the defence.

What a crap transfer. Could have been a true legend, now (in my eyes) he'll never quite be remembered at that level.
