Of course after seeing us on top I disappear to the toilet and come back to us 1-0 down.
-
Playing pretty well so far, on top as it stands without creating a clear cut chance.

Tottenham away, last game at the lane?
-
Good point, my maths is off.
-
7 wins, 8 draws, 6 losses. Hard to beat
-
Yeah, I for one was never hinging our survival on getting a new striker but more our ability to improve the defence. We've scored the same amount of goals as Palace for example, but conceded 10 more.

"It's the Saints FC, Philosophy"

If they start doing that then we need to work on some routines that take advantage of them having one man less in the mix. Little disguised pass down the sides and then a cutback to the edge of the box should do it.

Onana for Everton looked good, he would be a very good option in the DM role and young too, especially if they go down and we stay up.
-
IIRC they wanted £1million for him, which at the time was the "absurd" amount that we paid for Rickie Lambert in league one which blew any other interested parties out of the water.

Just did a premier league predictor, thought I was being quite pessimistic but I had us finishing safe on 44 points. As always with those its difficult to predict where the lower sides will pull the shock results so I had West Ham, Everton and Bournemouth going down all with less than 27 points!

Surely Madness Driving in my car; He's Duje Caleta Car (clap clap, clap clap) He was born in Croa-tiar (clap clap, clap clap) Bought from Olympique Marseille (clap clap, clap clap) And he f*cking hates Pom-pay (clap clap, clap clap) (That last line was just to wind @Turkish up).

I literally hadn't even noticed the teams were the wrong way round.

And Brighton V Liverpool or Wolves. Boring.

I'm glad I never resorted to the vitriol and hatred others did, but I definitely thought he was out of his depth and must admit he's turning me round as well.

I don't like the constant praising of himself in press conferences - "I thought we were tactically brilliant, me putting Alvarez on was a brave decision in the circumstances".
-
That's what I was saying. Edit; sorry, just messing. Didn't read your initial post properly.
-
If they're going to start putting players on the line then all we have to do is drop the ball in behind the defence for someone who would otherwise be in an offside position.
-
His corners are fine, we just haven't had anyone effective at getting on the end of a set piece since Van Dijk left. All our defenders now seem to sh*t themselves when heading the ball in an attacking sense and close their eyes really early, meaning it just bounces up and over.
-
Jesus you can actually see them all look at him, not wound up in the slightest, thinking what an absolute moron.
-
Tough game, probably end up being a loss to keep us grounded in reality. Would be really nice to be the surprise package second half of the season and storm up the table but I doubt it.
-
All last season, with Romeu playing in DM, JWP played an advanced role under Ralph and ended up with double figures for goals.

Little bit of David Bowie... There's a Starman running down the right, his names Kyle Walker-Peters and he's f*cking dynamite
-
Never thought he looked as good as people said when he played previously, but it was interesting hearing Jones say that he was brought in and asked to be a footballer before being a defender...sometimes going back to basics is the best thing. I like defenders that can play from the back, but I love defenders that just focus on not letting anyone past them.

Just noticed today's match against Lewes is live on the FA player at 14:00 today.
