That's ridiculously untrue. Last season he saved 67.3% of shots on target. Season before that he saved 71% of shots on target (admittedly only in 8 games). Season before that he was out on loan. Season before that he saved 69.1% of shots on target.

Every striker, decent, half decent or world class, misses chances. If you're insinuating that one of the players I listed would be in double figures if they'd played for us this season and had Adams chances I think you're talking nonsense.

Watkins actually has more minutes than Adams but yeah fair point, Daka and Scamacca both have way less. I'm actually wondering if Adams would suit a Joelinton style switch to CM. He's a great passer of the ball, has great strength and has been good closing down and tackling.

I still feel like people have unrealistic expectations of how many a goalscorer for a club like us should be getting. Last season only 8 players got 15 or higher and only one of those didn't play for the top 6 - and that was Vardy. Expecting us to find someone who can come in and score 10 goals in half a season, as well as be an effective target man? It won't happen. Best we can hope for is someone coming in and popping up with 5 goals but fitting into the system well enough that they can also create space, chances and goals for other players. Fwiw, Adams has the same amount of goals as Son, more than Scamacca, Daka, Watkins, Eze who have all been suggested on here as examples of the types of striker we need, and only one less than Jesus or Nunez who are playing in much better sides and were vastly more expensive. Proper goalscorers are dying out in the modern game. We were spoilt with Ings banging in that 20 goal season and now we think it's what should be expected when in reality what we need is 3 or 4 players who can be relied on to get between 5 and 10 goals, and then the rest chipping in with a couple.
