  1. Much better than people give him credit for.
  2. It means in the rating of pings that one comes out on top. Come on, mate.
  3. Unless Caballero is being given game time to get him ready for being first choice it seems kind of pointless. Might as well stick with Bazunu in the hopes he'll magically click.
  4. Indeed. And we managed to sign someone worse instead of Leno who would have been an improvement.
  5. Quite funny, Obafemi who many wrote off on here could be a Premier League striker next season while we are playing in the Championship.
  6. I absolutely would have taken Leno in the summer, no hindsight involved at all. He'd have been the best keeper we signed since Boruc.
  7. State of the modern game. So sad.
  8. Honestly if we don't even up signing a forward we'd be better off focusing on getting the ball wide and then finding JWP or Alcarez making late runs into the box. I'd even rather play Armstrong and Mara up top and get them running into the channels to facilitate this.
  9. KWP on the left means we lose all our balance, no matter how many runs he makes down the left before having to cut back inside.
  10. Absolutely still in it. Important not to concede again, keep it to 1-0 and hope we can nick a goal or two from a Prowsey set piece or a bit of individual brilliance - i'd be playing the same team that played against City in this one.
  11. Well Wright was played there by other managers but under Burley he played midfield.
  12. He may well of been their player of the season but in league one it's irrelevant, wasnt Kelvin Davis named in team of the season in either League one or the championship with us?
  13. Proof if it were needed that we did zero scouting and just relied on Joe Shields. Given how quickly he moved on I'm honestly starting to wonder if he came here just to mug us off and give city a bunch of money for players they didn't want anyway. I will die on this hill - he's got no positive attributes to his game, shows no potential and will never be good enough for the premier league. We've been well and truly ripped off.
  14. Agreed, but the best team in the world can't keep clean sheets regularly with a keeper like Bazunu. We only kept one against City because they couldn't manage a shot on target.
  15. In a transfer window where Henderson, Pope and Leno were all available we got Bazunu and paid more than the other three would have cost us. Up there with Carillo in terms of how bad a transfer this was.
  16. Yahia!!! There's a name. Actually ended up having a decent career in France. I'm sure I remember him playing for Tunisia on TV around 2012 and my mind being blown.
  17. He's not asked to use it. When was the last time you saw him running beyond the defence? He always drops deep or backs into the defence, he's never making runs.
  18. His form has dipped recently and I wondered today if it's a confidence issue from all the talk around the club being about needing a striker in order to stay up. Quite funny that so many people are criticising his finishing for being scuffed now though when one of the thing I said when we signed him was how most of his championship goals seemed to be scuffed into the net, and I got laughed at for it for a long time.
  19. I get why you say that, but having conceded just 11 goals in 20 games with Burn at left back I don't think you can make a case for them having a weak link back there. We're going to have to hope to keep it tight at our end and rely on a bit of magic from someone from range I think. I'd actually probably take 0-0 now and go into the second leg as a one off 90 minutes (plus pens).
  20. The only saving grace this season is that it won't take much improvement to get out of it with a number of teams struggling, could be a very low amount of points required to stay up.
  21. Gazzaniga showed more potential when he first came. Even Bialkowski looked better.
  22. Saved it. He reacts late, gets a hand to it and doesn't keep it out. If his reactions were better and he wasn't so limp wristed he'd have saved it.
  23. I was wary of Cabellero going in but actually thinking about it out defence has restricted the opposition to relatively few shots on targets in the last few games, so maybe you're right that getting him in to organise the back line further will make up for his lack of agility.
  24. We'll progress in the cup either side of another loss in the league, I don't doubt it.
  25. Indeed, Ollie Watkins goal today moves him one ahead of *checks* Che Adams and equal with *checks* James ward prowse. It doesn't matter who we sign if we go all season with Bazunu in goal - we will go down.
