  1. I don't think it's going to happen by any stretch but if we did carry on the kind of performance we saw against Arsenal, won 3/4 games and got enough points to stay up I think he could be in with a shout. Depends who else is available.
  2. If we do somehow stay up would people be happy for Selles to stay on?
  3. Beattie, Crouch, Phillips, Ormerod, Camara, Pahars. Ridiculous really.
  4. Phillips hit 30 goals a couple seasons before we bought him didn't he? Such an underrated player who I believe ended up with a goal record of a goal every 2.5 games, which is incredible.
  5. It's their club nickname same as ours is Saints?
  6. What the hell has that got to do with it? Regardless of where they come from, he concedes from pretty much every other shot on target. The majority of shots we face are actually blocked by the defence. Our centrebacks have played pretty well this season they've just been let down by their keeper.
  7. I think we should go one step further. He's clearly our most in form player at the moment, so in order to prevent him getting injured or suspended we should keep him on the bench and not bring him on.
  8. Fulham 2-0 now. Keeping us within finger tip touching distance.
  9. I thought he looked alright actually, one excellent run in particular down the right wing that won us a freekick.
  10. Last night's performance means nothing if we don't continue it. Win this game and we still have an outside chance, albeit relying on the teams around us having utterly horrendous results.
  11. You're nuts. Bazunu is the worst keeper I've ever seen play for us in any league. Forster has limitations, but him AND McCarthy both have the potential to have absolute worldy games where they stop everything from going in. I am 100% certain we'd be outside the relegation zone if either of them had been first choice this season.
  12. Even in the championship we need to be doing everything to convince this lad to stay. Trouble is, Selles will drop him for the midweek game and make it harder to do so.
  13. If they'd gotten a routine win as we were all expecting it wouldn't have affected me in the slightest as I want to see them win the league. Never expected us to come close to getting anything. Once we'd gone 2-0 (and actually more so at 3-1) I started to believe we might actually win the game. As it turns out we ended up with a terrible result for both sides.
  14. Needed to hold out for the win. We'd be sat 1 point off safety now and that's a huge mentality shift. Instead we could be 6 points behind by the end of the day and that's way too much ground to make up.
  15. Thought he was brilliant tonight. If the ref had been less biased we'd have had a freekick on the edge of the box and we might be talking about him equalling Beckham's record. His freekick ability is a double edged sword for him personally as if he isn't scoring them he gets written off as having played badly.
  16. You're right, but Lavia at 10% is still miles better than Elyounoussi at 100%.
  17. Lavia stays on and we win that game I have no doubt, both goals came from shots on the edge of the box.
  18. I agree. I know people will say it's the lack of goalscorer but even without one of those, a half decent keeper will earn us another 10 points than we have right now.
  19. Another 2 points cost thanks to him.
  20. Took Lavia off but kept Elyounoussi on who immediately went down with cramp in both legs.
  21. A good keeper holds that.
  22. Don't want to hear anything about an unlucky, plucky performance. Does nothing for us.
  23. Shot on target, goal.
