  1. No way Rendell gets dropped.
  2. His time in Spain isn't worth considering one way or the other, he played 95 minutes total whilst there. The blokes consistently scored a goal every 2 to 3 games his entire career and scored 22 goals in 30 appearances last season, he'd be an absolute bargain at that price.
  3. In all honesty we have plenty of players who like to cut inside, what we need is someone that can go round the outside as well.
  4. Blimey, we are nailing this window so far. Get the last 2-3 right and we could be a surprise package this season. (Disclaimer - not for the title or europe, but best of the rest certainly).
  5. Significantly higher is vague, I'd be surprised if they're on more than £25k a week to begin with, probably with clauses included based on appearances for the team or going up by a chunk each season.
  6. Individually, yes. But our best performances last season came with Perraud at left back.
  7. https://youtu.be/EPQKpi4kjls To the chorus... Ariboooo, oh whoaaaaa, You will never slow him down its Joe Ariboooo, oh whoaaaaa... Repeat. Simple, would sound great chanted by thousands, no mention of Pompey.
  8. Individually he's not much of a downgrade but having a right footer at left back makes us so narrow down that side. We lose any threat of a cross coming in as anybody who is out on that left hand side, KWP, Elyounoussi, Redmond, Armstrong whoever, they're ALL going to cut back and go inside. Perraud should be starting at left back. KWP at right back. Livramento rotating.
  9. What do you expect when we close our pathway from academy to first team and open up an on-ramp for other teams youth players? If they aren't going to get first team football sooner with us then they may as well go to a bigger club or one that will pay them more.
  10. How on earth is this not considered tapping up? No bid received from Chelsea but personal terms are agreed?
  11. Don't we usually have unannounced games v non league opposition made up entirely of reserve/youth players?
  12. Can't see us spending more than £40million without needing to bring something in.
  13. He's on a free and would be expecting to take a huge pay cut. He won the league with Leicester there must be some sort of decent player in there, I wouldn't be too upset if we gave him a go.
  14. Right back cover we need, would take that. Know nothing about him but he'd only need to be backup for (hopefully) 6 months. Here's his whoscored ratings based on stats:
  15. I put KWP in the Bertrand and Romeu category, where they've had their fingers burnt being at a top club where game time is limited and you're replaced at the drop of a hat. If he stays with us he's guaranteed game time for pretty much his whole career, we aren't going to do better than a RB of his quality.
  16. I doubt it, having watched the final Wolves were massively below where we were quality and fitness wise. I don't think they were even professional, I think they were still technically an amateur side.
  17. Up front proven players are out of our price range. Need to do our scouting properly and find ourselves the next player to burst onto the scene.
  18. I'll be massively relieved when he's announced as signing for someone else.
  19. Good, excellent option to have.
  20. I get it, I agree, just think if you want people to come back to games repeatedly you need to build a proper atmosphere.
  21. Was just saying to the missus that the biggest thing missing from womens football now is the atmosphere. For some reason people seem to forget how to chant when they go to women's games.
  22. ...that wasn't over?
  23. Is the commentary ahead of the picture for anyone else?
  24. Wtf is going on with the national anthem? They're playing two different versions over the tannoy 😂
  25. Blimey, not really leaving ourselves much with future sales to fund future purchases.
