One of the worst performances for a long time in that first half. Much better second, but the problems are still there - too negative for my liking. Against even a slightly better side (or possibly even Boro with Ramirez and Negredo) we would have dropped points today. Something positive I took from that though was on a couple of occasions our centremids got into the box and had a chance on goal. Yes they missed them, but at least we're making the runs now.

What happened to the football earlier in the season where we played it quickly through the middle and created tons of chances? Stood watching some of the worst football i've seen in years. Morons booing redmond coming on....good job guys.

Clasies been the only half decent player. Not great, but he's shown desire and won the ball back well on a few occasions.

Right in front of me, nearly took some birds head off. Absolute c*nt thing to do.
-
In fairness we've all been complaining about midfielders not getting into scoring opportunities.
-
This is ****ing awful. ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!

Bet you'd have moaned like f*ck if Long and Redmond has started.

Interesting front 3. Glad Redmond has been dropped, I rate him but he's been poor recently.

Oh wow, the players actually thought we'd love it and would be singing it before every game...that's awkward. They talk about clubs having their own anthem and it sounding amazing - how many are original songs? I can think of the Derby one (if they even do that anymore), other than that it's all unrelated songs.

We obviously thought we had and just got it wrong with Rodriguez.

Who has seen Saints score an away goal in Europe ?

I agree, we knew what we had to do. Still f*cking annoying to think about though. -
People too easily forgetting how good he was earlier in the season. Finishing was poor but everything else was exceptional - last month though his confidence and form has taken an absolute nosedive, probably because he expected himself to be scoring regularly by now. I'm still going to give him till next season to show what he can do. Rodriguez was sh*te first time round for us, it was only the season after he signed he did well. Mane as well, to a lesser extent.

Literally the only difference is the central player moving 10 feet forwards or backwards. -
When we went out to Midgetland everyone said we'd wasted "probably our last chance in Europe for years".

Even finer margins than that my friend. Had the standard league rules applied - goal difference as a decider instead of head to head - we'd all be chuffed to bits right now instead of despondent. -
Is our style of play really that different?
Saint_clark replied to verlaine1979's topic in The Saints
Was different under Koeman, didn't Cork, Schneiderlin and Wanyama all get 4-5 goals his first season here? -

Only saw the goals at Arnhem. Saw Rodriguez put it in the net away to Milan though, even if it was disallowed... -

Just half the crowd not paying attention, I was sat in the Northam and spotted the offside before he'd even blown. He wasn't pointing to the spot - he was pointing along the line, as refs always do when signalling offside. -

Maybe, but f*cking typical that the only time it's used is when it's to our detriment. It's the play-offs V Derby with no away goals all over again. -
Please delete.

Hojberg to blame for the goal by the way, took him ****ing years to realise the ball had been passed to him. -
Who gives a **** anymore.

Halfway through the second half we settled for the 0-0, ****ing suicidal. ****ed off beyond extreme. Beer sheva deserved it, played very well. -
Worth noting that Beer Sheva are 10 points clear at the top of their league with a record of played 12, won 10, scored 35 and conceded 5. Clearly a talented side.

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned that Fonte posted on instagram saying he hasn't been offered a new contract and he club have said they won't be.
