  1. I'll continue to support him while he plays, but I never thought he'd come back and be an effective player for us. We gambled and it didn't pay off. Incredible to me that he gets off with missed two of the most open goal chances we've ever seen when others have been lambasted for missing much more difficult chances.
  2. What good would that do? A target man to hold the ball up for the rest of our team...who can't score?
  3. Chances are you can't pick your seats because it's already been sold mate.
  4. Yep, I had no idea! Can I not buy until general sale now it's on sale to members?
  5. After going through the monumental effort of clicking the link and checking, I have your answer: "However, Puel was utterly definitive when asked about the existence of a buyout clause. “It’s not true,” he insisted. “After the other thing is just speculation.”
  6. Has anyone said that? He seems to have more passion than anyone we've had since Adkins.
  7. Doesn't surprise me, earlier in the season we were making a conscious choice to take it easy in the first half to conserve energy and then upping the performance massively in the second. Recently we just haven't looked like creating anything at all.
  8. If you're gonna take the p*ss out of people who are critical you might as well get it right - no-ones denied he makes great saves, his problem is that's usually all he does. There've been signs in the last few games that he's improving though, coming out for the ball more. Like i've said before, at our level we should be aiming to have a keeper who's better than "makes great saves every now and then". Fingers crossed he continues to improve.
  9. I'm usually the most optimistic on this board but we shouldn't pretend there's a fundamental flaw in our style of play right now...the amount of times we flat out ignore forward options to pass it sideways and backwards is infuriating, and I tell you what, it was telling that after making a great run and laying the ball off before carrying on for the return, Virgil threw his hands in the air when the ball was passed back to Fonte instead. I like Puel and loved the way we were playing earlier in the season - i'm even on record saying I thought it was the best we've played in years - but we're not playing that way now and for whatever reason that's something that needs addressing.
  10. Nah i'd include Davis and Hojberg as being too similar in all honesty. My first choice would be Davis and Clasie right now.
  11. Yep but the last few seasons those performances have been the exception rather than the norm, this season we started off playing well and have regressed.
  12. Oh I'd forgotten about that! There were two scrappy chances then, the one Forster saved at the near post early on.
  13. I agree, but when I saw a solid block of a hundred of more of them from the other side of the stadium jumping around, waving flags and singing well after the goal had gone in I thought it was going to kick off. They weren't corporate seats there, so why couldn't we have just allocated them some tickets next to the away end and moved the segregation?
  14. It wasn't the "one time" JWP turned on the ball though, watch the highlights again he does it just before the goal before playing it through to Martina to cross for Redmond, who then nods down for Boufal. On the whole I think the best balance is one of Clasie/JWP and one of Davis/Hojberg.
  15. Yeah, yeah, it's all very funny, loads of people have said the same thing...trouble is that there WERE a lot of problems in this game and we shouldn't just ignore those because we won the game with an out of the blue screamer of a goal.
  16. I'm not talking about ASAP.
  17. There's been talk of McQueen being sold, if someone has to go i'd rather Bertrand than someone from our academy who is much younger and playing just as well if not better. We have a surplus of good left backs, if we have to raise funds to buy then that's the best place to be trying to do so...
  18. I'd be happy with that. Would prefer Fonte to stay till his 10 year to get a testimonial though.
  19. 1 in 4, better than I thought.
  20. Well, if we do sell him we'd only do so with a replacement already coming in.
  21. Probably a mistranslation and meant season.
  22. Because we knew that at some point he would land on his shoulder and severely damage it?
  23. Absolutely, wouldn't be too fussed if Bertrand went anymore. In fact i'd rather sell him than McQueen.
  24. Austin short term, Rodriguez long term. Anyway, Dwight Gayle for me if affordable.
  25. Hate to say it but it sounded alright belting out of the speakers, and would probably actually sound even better with fans joining in.
