  1. Didn't watch it, in what way did they f*ck it up?
  2. Away to West Brom shortly after Rickie scored his first goal for Scotland, 1-0 win.
  3. You can't have been to watch many games then.
  4. Bednarek only turned 21 in april so won't count towards the 25.
  5. They're properly, truly deluded on that RAWK forum. Just had a quick look at the last couple of pages of their VVD thread, and i've seen someone suggest that if we refuse to accept a bid from Liverpool Van Dijk can take us to court (?) and another suggesting that he is simply an employee of a company and as such should be able to just hand in his notice and leave - mental!
  6. We're not talking about squad numbers, we're talking about centre midfield numbers. For those two slots we now have Romeu, Lemina, Hojberg, JWP, Davis and Clasie. If you argue he can play further forward you still have JWP, Davis, Tadic, Boufal and Gabbiadini who might end up playing there.
  7. Shame for Clasie but I think his times up. He never got regular gametime playing further forward than DM (where I think he is best suited). Whenever he did get closer to the opposition box he looked a lot better, including scoring a couple of goals from the edge of it.
  8. Written off for absolutely no reason, I keep hoping the club haven't done the same.
  9. Personally I won't chant or boo him, but if he is somehow still playing for us when Liverpool come around then I think this would be best; We've got Van Dijk, Virgil Van Dijk I just don't think you understand He'll never play for you, whatever you might do We've got Virgil Van Dijk
  10. When Ferguson sold Beckham it showed that the club was bigger than any one player. To sell Van Dijk to Liverpool now would show that the player is bigger than our club.
  11. Exactly, someone earning an average of £70k a week playing football earns £54.6million over a 15 year career. That's absolutely plenty to live out the rest of your life in luxury.
  12. It's not really cutting off your nose to spite your face - holding firm and not selling to Liverpool will send a message that we're not going to fall victim to these kinds of tactics anymore, meaning that anyone trying to buy our players in the future (or any players wanting out) will be more respectful and do things the proper way.
  13. Bloody British football hooligans.
  14. Good good, nice to see him scoring again heading into the season.
  15. Clasie seems the obvious candidate, been left out quite a lot. I'd prefer to loan him out, we'll need a replacement for Davis in a season or two and i've always liked Clasie playing further forward.
  16. According to whoscored.com he plays as a defensive midfielder, that'd be a most welcome addition.
  17. Know nothing about him, who is he, what does he do, why are people excited?
  18. What a load of ********, his second game for us was away to Spurs where he missed an open goal and did nothing else all game.
  19. Thanks for clearing that up.
  20. Our first goal scored at St Marys since...?
  21. Competitive football maybe, but as I said above no-ones staying home from their lower league game to watch Saints play in a pre-season friendly.
  22. Last season was a disappointment in general for me as well, but i'm not panicking thinking there's some big slide on the way. We've been progressing non-stop for 7 years, we were bound to have a setback at some point - it's how we respond that's important. And to be fair we have responded pretty well in my book, replacing the manager with a more attack minded one and putting our foot down with player sales at last.
  23. Utterly bizarre to me, no-ones going to miss their football league club play to watch Saints play Sevilla in a pre-season game streamed on facebook.
  24. Oh FFS, missed the Augsburg game due to work (admittedly did me a favour), I can watch this one before I head out but it's not being streamed, fantastic.
  25. Shock horror, maintaining or improving on our highest ever Premier League finish proved to be incredibly difficult. I would have been in disbelief of the reality around me if we'd managed to improve our league position yet again. As for this: I can't be the only person who thinks his tenure hasn't even begun? Pre-season means nothing, league form is what it's all about.
