Lets hope we sell him for £60million and he has a recurring injury for the entirety of his contract. I can understand a player wanting to go to Liverpool - Van Dijk is good enough to improve them in such a way they will challenge for the title, and it would mean more doing it with Liverpool after so long than with City or Chelsea. Annoying, but understandable. However he deserves a shot at a Barca/Real/Bayern starting place and if he costs himself that well...no sympathy.

I wouldn't be over the moon with the appointment but i'd recognise he'll probably do well. However I wouldn't go regularly if he was manager...results with boring style isn't worth the money, I can still enjoy the result at home.

I would love to see Saints make a permanent switch to either this style or the sash. Make us stand out a bit more. Also, if that away kit is the one it is gorgeous.

In previous years it's been "we won't sell anyone we don't need to", as opposed to a flat out "X player won't be leaving". Here's hoping the change in language reflects a change in attitude.

Seems to me that should be easy to cover without getting into debt considering we make over £100million a season just from being in the league. Is there a link to somewhere that has all these plans? I'm assuming this is what Landers involvement was going to be, contracted to develop the stadium and surrounding area, as opposed to buying out the club?

I totally get what you're saying. For me I am happy to see what he does till january next season, but in all honesty if he DOES get sacked i'm not going to complain - it would be totally understandable.

Don't agree with that, home fans had ramped up the noise and created a good atmosphere for the 5-10 minutes before their goal.

Cedric stood right in front of the Northam for ages applauding, waving and mouthing "thank you" while they chanted for him. Bertrand hung back behind everyone else and looked bored. Van Dijk was stood apart from everyone else with two groups either side when the players all stopped in front of the Northam.

Bit daft considering it's the kids section, probably would have just been chucked out anywhere else but might get charged with something.

Feels like a long, long time ago but the best i've ever seen him was at the start of this season after making the decision to stay and signing a new contract. Pity things never progressed. In a season where everyone offensive was disappointing in one way or another, he still got 7 assists and I would wager is right up there in the key chances created statistic. Keep him.

Judging by the way they acted in the lap of appreciation, i'd say cedric is definitely off, Van Dijk is likely off and Bertrand is possibly off.
