I might be dumb, but I really don't understand what I'm looking at.
-
In a game played in a much smaller area, with only 6 aside, and a squad of roughly the same amount of players. And the games are half an hour shorter with 2 breaks instead of just one. And I'd disagree that it's anymore physically demanding, other than the occasional fight.
-
You'd be surprised. A lot of clubs are still pretty thick when it comes to valuations - they go off form from a couple of years back, sometimes years and years. It's why you still see players well past their prime in their mid to late thirties getting clubs. We could get much more for him than you're saying purely off of last season performances, from a club lower down who are desperate for a striker. Palace or Swansea would be prime candidates.
-
I think we'd take anything over £15million. Definitely not sell him for less than we paid, so anything between £12-15million only if we have someone lined up that we can get in for that amount.

Where would we be had we kept Mane, Pelle and Wanyama?

And, in fairness, it's a much tougher division this year! -
You do realise we won the trophy you are complaining we got knocked out back of in 2010? Wouldn't want to win this one this season anyway, we shouldn't even be in the competition.
-
We bought Van Dijk for £12million for f*ck sake. More money doesn't guarantee better quality.
-
What does Tadic have out of interest?
-
More than that though, they were giving him abuse down the left hand side all game for it, including booing him louder than other players.
-
It'll be Tadic but I'd like to see either Bertrand or Davis take them.

Can't we just embrace the Bournemouth rivalry?
Saint_clark replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
It feels better to beat them BECAUSE of their attitude. In every other game this season (bar the one at St Marys obviously), I'm quite happy for them if they win. Unless something drastic happens like they boo through a minutes silence for a club legend (unlikely) that's not going to change. -
Jrod was only class and scoring goals that one season as well, people on here wanted him sold after his debut season.

That's quality...shout out to the cute blonde with the hat on dancing at the end! Gotta love a good looking saints fan.

For those who were there, what was the Hojberg chant I heard on the tellybox?
-
I'd like to see us make a real statement here. We've made big money signings from abroad but they were still relative gambles or unknowns - there's a chance here to go out and buy a proven goalscorer in the English game. My top 3 would be Rondon, Negredo and Gayle. Any of those three would be a sign of intent to kick on in my opinion.

Puel vs Koeman - Comparsion after 17 Premier League games
Saint_clark replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Interesting...those 3 games are fairly tough though, Spurs Baggies and Everton again I believe. 5 points would be a very good return from those. -
Possibly Long up top and Rodriguez out left? Long has NEVER looked good for us out wide so shoe-horning him in is a bad idea, whereas Rodriguez looked at his best coming off the left playing off Lambert. I think our best team right now is - Forster Cedric Yoshida VVD Bertrand Romeu Clasie Davis Boufal Long Rodriguez
-
Much better performance with actual attacking intent and lo and behold, we get the goals. We need to show more of that. Glad Jay Rod got the goals...still a little wary of saying we should rely on him though. Could this be the end of Long as we see him shipped out to make way for someone? Hope not.

Thats ****ing disgustig from clatternberg! You cant stop the game there after bournemouth played on!!!!
-
THERE HE IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Wilshere holding his face when Hojberg was nowhere near it, hit him in the chest.
-
In fairness i'd forgotten the yellow, and we haven't exactly sat back, I was wrong. Puel does have history of sitting on uncertain leads though.
-
No you f*cking arsewit, suicide to try and consolidate against a free scoring team.
-
**** sake, Puels taking boufal off there to consolidate and keep the ball...we're not going for a third. Suicide.
-
Commos talking about bournemouths fading intensity...anything to do with changes made perhaps...
