  1. Think we advanced too quickly for him. If played in his preferred position of striker instead of forced out to the wing, I reckon he'd be a decent striker for a lower half side.
  2. This. When we're crying out for creativity and unpredictability and complaining about the workmanlike performances of Davis and JWP, Ramirez is another option.
  3. Maybe he will, all i said was that if we get offered the right amount we should accept it. I'm not holding my breath though, all signs point to him putting in sub standard performances all season. And even if he does come back to his best, i'll never fully like the guy again as he was a big reason behind our first european campaign in ages going tits up.
  4. "Saints fans face a nervous couple of days before the transfer deadline shuts" I'm not nervous at all, thanks.
  5. But he knuckled down before the season started. Wanyama has looked lazy, barely tracking back at times, all season so far. The Midgetland home game an excellent example, watch the goal back but keep your eyes on Victor and ask yourself what the feck is he doing.
  6. Bit of a leap. "So Ron, this situation with Mane and Victor, what do you think?" "I don't want them sold, under any circumstances" "Ok, that's that then" Reed has always said in the past that no players are sold without the manager signing off on it.
  7. Given our lack of creativity at times i'm still really disappointed Ramirez hasn't been given more of a chance this season.
  8. Yeah, hope he cuts that out.
  9. His performances have lacked commitment to such an extent that he's been detrimental to the team, so in all honesty i wouldn't be upset if the club got rid. Ruined his reputation with us Saints fans just as he was becoming a cult hero. If someone offers £20million get rid. Who's the top DM in the championship?
  10. I disagree with him a lot but he's right here, St Marys is in a fantastic location, i'd hate an out of town stadium.
  11. Who plays in midfield for you then out of interest, baring in mind Clasie is injured.
  12. Teams we're used to being better than in the past, meaning in the last two seasons? Every team currently in the Prem was above us in the food chain not too long ago.
  13. I don't agree with Alpine or Delldays but there is always a peak for a club that isn't one of the big ones. We may have found ours but that's nothing to be angry with the board or manager for. We had a lot more top quality players in a short space of time than a club like ours normally gets. It's all very well saying "you can't keep selling your best players" but back in the real world, you can't p*ssed off players at the club till their contract runs out and they go for nothing. Yes it's totally wrong that it's like that, but again it's not the fault of the board or manager. As Saints fans we're in the rare position of hitting the absolute ceiling of how far our club can go and we're frustrated about it - i've found myself wondering if i'll even bother going next season. But if i don't go, i won't be blaming anyone at Saints. We all know the reasons behind football being the way it is these days, and sadly nothing will change that now.
  14. In all honesty i'm not expecting anything from games now until we get Bertrand, Clasie and another centreback in the team. Anything we get at this stage is a bonus to me.
  15. He was better than Targett tonight. Insane to single him out in an incredibly underperforming team.
  16. Wasn't expecting those to matter when it came to domestic games this season.
  17. I'm hoping a few more youngsters will get a start in all honesty. Not sure who's out on loan but Hesketh, Seager, And McQueen could all use the experience.
  18. I wonder how much United have cleared in the last 2 years, and if their 0-0 this weekend reflects that. This is football, hasn't it always been said that money doesn't guarantee success? I have to say though, watching Bournemouth play fast attacking football with excellent passing did make me wonder why we can't do the same. We seem to be in the latter stages of the transformation from "unit that has grown together and fights for each other" to "team of individual mercenaries who don't really care all that much".
  19. Good job we've only lost 2 players this summer and won't be losing 8 or 9.
  20. Well he's regressed to that first-season Wanyama so far this term. Suggests to me his head is somewhere else ala Lovren.
  21. I guess newcastle and everton have debts, don't own their grounds/training facilities or some such?
  22. Not sure there'll be much demand for a programme that was handed out for free. Maybe if you wait 20-30 years.
