This old line is ridiculous as well, and not only that it's incredibly insulting to the likes of Lallana, Ward-Prowse, Lambert and Schneiderlin to essentially say they aren't good enough to play with Osvaldo.
One of the things I assume you're referring to was the cut back from the right hand side which went to no-one - that wasn't due to him being ahead of everyone else, that was due to him not paying attention and trying to pass to the sodding referee!
There was another opportunity in the box where Davis read the play excellently, made an overlapping run and then Osvaldo played the ball straight at him rather than ahead of him, meaning Davis had to lay it off to Shaw where he could of got a shot off with a better pass.
I am ecstatic with the result yesterday, and I have been a big fan of Osvaldo, AND I think he will be very good for us. None of that detracts from the fact however that yesterday his performance was below par. Not going mental about it, not demanding he be dropped, not saying he's a waste of money. He just had a bad game.
