  1. Need to find out where his pitch is so I can avoid it like the plague.
  2. £15million for Chamberlain, who only had one season at the third tier? That's looking cheap now.
  3. Just goes to show really, they've got their own English youth right-back who's made appearances for the first team and yet they'd still rather poach one of ours (if the report is true, which is unlikely).
  4. I assumed Isgrove and Stephens were being given 6 months competitive football before replacing Hooiveld and Guly in the summer.
  5. It's sad seeing Glasgow desperately trying to cling on to his title as Head Troll when no-one finds him funny, annoying, interesting, or anything really. He's like Queen Mab from that Merlin show with Sam Neill, shouting and screaming desperately while everyone just turns around, walks away and ignores him whilst he disappears.
  6. Erm Notts County went nowhere. In fact it was shortly AFTER the money men sold up that they got promoted.
  7. If anyone can do it if they have financial backing, how come Notts County aren't midtable in the Prem? How come Leicester are only just challenging for promotion after spending tons a couple of seasons ago?

    Boruc

Seems as if when he's not being tested by the opposition he loses his concentration big time.
  9. Except neither passes were across the goal mouth at all.
  10. Why? The bloke didn't go down. If he'd missed, he'd missed.
  11. Have to say i was wrong earlier, it was fonte at fault for the first goal not JWP, my bad.
  12. Goal line technology? There's no appealing, it's not like tennis. The referee is told instantly via a device on his wrist if it's a goal or not, if it's not over the line then he doesn't stop play. There's no point in players appealing anymore as if it is over it'll be given every time.
  13. The abuse Guly got, and is getting, compared to the lack of abuse for JWP is disgusting. Why is he being singled out? Consider this - if JWP doesn't give away the first goal, then we're not in a position for Guly to give away the second. On top of that, Guly had linked up well, chased down well (but got f*ck all recognition for this fact, when other players would have been applauded from all 4 stands for such hard work) and defended INCREDIBLY well when Norwich were putting the pressure on at the end. JWP by comparison had done virtually nothing all game. Totally agree regarding Ramirez, he had an outstanding game but to totally ignore the ball heading in your direction when a Norwich player is heading for it is ridiculous - and yes, he knew it was there. He glanced at it before continuing to walk off.
  14. There's no way it's a Prem first.
  15. Shh, don't make people aware of this, I want that free season ticket...
  16. You thinking of Adrian Mutu, the striker? He was sacked by Chelsea for cocaine use.
  17. They're spot on. Pele has sold out, Brazil should not be spending the amount of money it is on the World Cup when the standard of living is so poor. Yet he's backing it because he's being paid by FIFA as a figure head. Even so I don't think that's the problem - it's the fact he's come out and asked for the protests to stop, no doubt after being told to by his bosses. On a much smaller scale that we can relate to, it's kind of like Le Tissier coming out and asking for the protests against Lowe to stop whilst being given free boxes etc.
  18. Now count the amount of strikers we have at every level.
  19. Just booked a ticket for the Newcastle home game online and for one thing there is a new seat selection system which seems pretty neat, but also when it came to confirm payment there was only a £1 fee for postage - no £1.50 fee per ticket. How long has this been like that?
  20. Congratulations to him. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/harry-isted-signs-pro-deal-1417959.aspx
  21. Just because he hasn't stated all of his objectives in his first interview in the job, doesn't mean he hasn't got any.
  22. I suggest people watch this rather than just read the transcript. It's a lot easier to understand what he's actually saying - the bits about open communication with the fans and showing the fans respect should be interesting to a lot of people.
  23. Other than closing the gap in our revenue streams to sustain the level we want to be playing at - which is clearly still in Europe.
  24. Other than "we had tears in our first conversation", "When Markus passed away in 2010 she was put into a situation she wasn't looking for this early in her life", "the ties to her father and what he meant, and how much he cared about the Saints, has come alive in Katharina", "it's clear that everything she does she's doing with her father in mind".
  25. Good news so far, but I would encourage people to be a bit patient regarding Pochettinos contract - it doesn't run out for a while yet, I doubt they'll even start negotiating until he's in the last 6 months.
