  1. lol just tweeted that back to Matt Slater - more fun than lighting the Pains Wessex specials
  2. You think THEY are annoying? ROFL... Wait until you get amongst a crowd of Asian mixed with French watching a tournament. But yeah we'll be watching, we normally get the European Tour's own Golf Channel here with Dougie Donnelly, Mark Warren & Dear old Renton (always says hello) Laidlaw. Guess you'll have dear old Peter Alliss & Sir Nick the really really bad Captain. Looking forward to it will be stocking up on tinnies tomorrow in readiness.
  3. FFS I've had the Dagenham Girls Pipers Band & a full on Pains Wessex Fireworks display on standby all day ready to celebrate page 1500. And it's gonna come up with not even a whimper. Well, seeing as EoA has returned to these shores complete with a fully recovered Mrs EoA the only thing left is to deliver them all up to Chez Eric for his welcome home party. Of course, if the girls just turn up unannounced saying they'd been staying there all summer it may be fun watching Eric sail over the Burj later with the fireworks jammed up his.............
  4. Sums up their demise really. There's only Trousers following the web chat today, nobody else gives a damn
  5. Was he the cricketer that Solent mentioned? Someone on our bench scored a double ton at age 15 or something... They were making the point he was a fine all round prospect
  6. Makes sense but putting all 3 of our CB's onto the field at the same time? Hmm We saw with JRod on the left that the PL is about specialists for specialist positions.
  7. He's reaching an age where he would thank me for that
  8. Love that 1900 number when everywhere inc BBC were saying 680. (And in that context. 680 Owls fans make the journey from Yorkshire in appalling weather on a Tuesday night for a mickey mouse Cup Match knowing they would rest their own key players. Those 680 - far besterer than the bestest)
  9. That could be in with a shout in the worst joke ever Top100
  10. Think that may sum it up. Solent mentioned that we had Shaw injured and a couple of youngsters (who would more likely have been on the bench) were away with England. The " sudden concerns" that Cork may have done his knee showed that these games while important for maintaining match fitness of SQUAD members, are a worry for picking up silly injuries. If we'd lost the only impact is the loss of "warm up games" Personally the fact that the bench was ALL kids (except for KD) will have given a huge boost to the Academy & Development Squads. There IS now a route for the best kids to make the first team match days... meanwhile. As we clearly cannot fill the stadium shouldn't we close the Itchen/Northam Corner for the season again? Oh and MLG? The EPL is a 25 man SQUAD game these days. There is no first team any more, there are squad players and rotations. Every side ROTATES players. Anyone who saw SRL 5 minutes from time on Saturday v Villa would have seen he was utterly shattered. Players don't keep that up every week. We do have a reserve team they are called the Development Squad. The guys were right this time round. Reserve Teams went out the window in the days when football boots were always black
  11. Yea. But we were whingeing idiots. We were jealous of you. When WE all pointed this out
  12. Ouch. Yeah it was CSI in admin BUT then the club (And Chinny's strings) spent everything they had. There's been so many admins it is hard to keep up. Anyways, a person with a brain should have adopted a more careful approach when your owner is in trouble... BUT PKF could STILL have done the compromise agreements in Feb. Would have saved a good couple of million I am sure (Wage deferrals vs a compromise done earlier as eg)
  13. NA deson't expect to get anything. Listen to his interview after the game when asked about Everton away. He goes on to say The Home games are important, make the most of them, anything you get on the road is a bonus (yadda yadda) The KEY will be keeping the shape and not dropping deep again like we did at Arsenal. Still worry about Puncheon away more than SRL. Guly did nothing to demand a recall last night so only real issue is Fox. Most have made him the new scapegoat but he HAS been playing with a knock, think that will be the only issue. IF he has really recovered then NA will want (and expect) him to be better when fully fit. IF he hasn't fully recovered then expect to see Richardson/Clyne combo
  14. Perhaps the questions that the PST should REALLY be asking right now should be about what happened during this past 9 months. It is pretty clear that barking at the Chinny tree is NOT a wise move, their only hope of a result there is with the FL getting onside and blocking Chinny with FAPP refusal. (That ACTUALLY could kill the club IF PKF truly do not believe the Trust can go forwards. No, the place to start looking IF this all gets legal is at TB & PKF themselves. Why were no players sold last January? Why were steps not taken then to dramatically cull wages? Send players out on loan? Why were PKF not questioned about "trying to stay up instead of trying to stay in business for as long as possible"? TB is a (track record) wannabe Football Club Chairman. He ENJOYED his work. Did he enjoy it too much? How much of the income was spent in those months? Why did PKF NOT try and reach compromise agreements in MAY? Christ, why were they not trying to do that in JANUARY? Why on earth was Appy led to believe he could spend MORE money than any other L1 club? PST will get murdered in a law suit against Chinny. But digging into possible negligence (with the CVA Creditors) into TB's actions MAY give them a better angle Yeah we all laugh at the deluded phew who lapped it all up and went with the be competitive line, and they all enjoyed their moment at SMS, BUT TB's actions (OR more importantly lack of) since January have sucked the club dry and left the Trust in this mess. Change your aim. Go for a case you might be able to win, you may not get the club away from Chinny but you will not waste the pledges. But then, it won't happen because as Frank Says they are just benefit junkies chasing what they insist is theirs by right not by being earnt.
  15. Goodnight all
  16. Jeez where is MLG when we need him The average age of our team on the pitch at the moment must be minute
  17. Incredibly worryingly, she might work
  18. Quick bring Rickie on
  19. Does this count
  20. That's handy, we have a useful cricketer on the bench tonight. Scored a double ton at age 15
  21. OK who is the nutter driving in (Detroit was it?) listening on his laptop lol
  22. Match Day thread turns into PTS thanks to interview with PST
  23. Dear Lord No wonder we don't get capacity crowds..... WTF do they expect playing Katie Perry songs?
  24. TBF they only gave 10 hours warning Southampton FC ‏@officialsaints We're expecting a large walk-up crowd for tonight's game against @swfc, so get here early if you're buying a ticket at the ground. #saintsfc
