OK let's have a poll shall we. Who saw this coming? There, that was easy then. Now onto the next 500 pages

And in other surprise news. A bear will defecate in a wood. The Pope will hold a Catholic Mass. PKF will earn another 9k

Understand that but the core question still remains what IS the Corp Capacity? If we are supposed to be 32,501 and we were 1,700ish tickets short of a full load.... We know from posts that only 500 tickets were available for walk ups a couple of hours before the match...... There IS clearly a problem with the economy which will impact Corp Seats (and the anti-bribery laws) but also recall reading about needing a sales person (they fired the last one?) and if they are not getting the numbers in Corp AND they are reducing the quality of the experience... Stop trying to sell them as Corp seats and let the punters in would be a better short term solution than a new tier on the Itchen surely.. Also remember you can have empty seats "all over the place" and yet that seat HAS actually been sold - for example ST holders who haven't been able to go and who have no mates Example was at the Chapel end clearly empty seats were shown yet they are also definitely ST seats as they were where some guys I was chatting to at Wigan game usually sit So attendance ie people at the game or seats filled, doesn't equal seats sold (which is stupid but then it was no doubt a dream up by an Accountant/taxman)

Ok bright sparks. To help this argument along the way. What are the current capacities of our different Hospitality Sections? 570 not sold, well as I recall there are how many seats per box? 10? and we have how many boxes? The different Pie & Pint options? The maths seems to be the fans filled the stadium seats, companies are the ones not paying top whack at this moment in time Renders the arguments into a different light. Should we cut Hospitality and up the seats available? Did this mean that fans could not get tickets EXCEPT at 100 quid a pop?

Now we are in the PL every game is going to be streamed somewhere as every game is televised worldwide. Things like the noddy cup then it will be useful. The Interviews & video clips (if I am honest) really aren't something that I bothered with in the years we were in the lower leagues. Most of the interviews were dissected in great depth on here anyway before I got to them. Occassionally useful if you want to watch goals again if you missed a game. I wasn't going to bother this year but then found only Arabic taters in the Pub so have renewed and can now give the guys DM while in the pub! It'llo be out of sync but then so are we after a few beers The Sheff Wed game clinched it really No other way to guarantee being able to listen as we cannot (easily) stream IPlayer or Beeb Radio over here (except World Service)

Interesting article, finally we have evidence of a Skate doing some proper in depth research. Hmmm http://www.thenational.ae/news/uae-news/thousands-of-fake-electronic-goods-seized-in-dubai-sting Totally unconnected dots at this moment in time. We have an allegation of pedaling fake products in Russia We have Dodgy Russian Owners We have an odd character reappearing in August in Dubai We have $1.1million dollars worth of fake TV's being seized in Dubai in early August No clearly not linked Now if only we had an agent who had some special hacking software that worked in this sort of investigative area?

Only a year late

That may be possible - depends on how bad the two injuries are. Looked like Ankle & Knee ligaments. The way Liverpool's luck seems to be going at the moment they could have some real early season problems. Youngest is a scouse fan (ex wife influence I'm afraid) and he is SERIOUSLY grumpy right now
-
Fans committing suicide Press insisting the manager will be fired Nightmare spanking on global TV And yet We are STILL higher in the league than Liverpool

Up and Away you mentioned balance in the MF. Something that occurred to me and does not seem to have been picked up on was "Changing Sides" OK so Clyne switched sides (duh) But then look at our goals. First goal came down the right wing - the HUGE difference was that Lallana did not have to cut inside to get the ball onto his better right foot and played an almost inch perfect ball into Rickie's feet SRL did the rest. And where did Puncheon score from? Cutting in from the LEFT, found his angle for a left footed pass blocked so cut back onto his right and bang (OK whether it would have gone in IF the CB had not got in the way is debatable. Some have talked of AL getting a yard of pace. Well maybe IF he is coming down the right for a change he doesn't need that second touch or cut all the time. Puncheon was risible on the left away to Leeds last year but goes from being dreadful in the first half to a standing ovation. Could it be that we have found their right balance? Or was it just "luck of where the ball was" that found them "on the wrong side?

10,229 more to go. You can now join the "Hold Their Heads High" skates who drink up in Deacons in Salisbury. They got it a couple of years ago despite having been "been big enough fans" to have been mentioned in numerous books (possibly really amongst the bestest before they stopped going) Your analogy of the Child is all well and good, but again reality is critical - IF ONLY are the two worst words in the English Language. IF ONLY you had seen the terminal cancer for what it really was. If Only you had produced your own new baby, they would have been walking and talking by now. Tough Call, you guys made the wrong one. get over it and move on.

Mayuka. Oh dear dreadful. Oh FFS. Fish out of water. IF you can watch the game again you will see that just after he came on his over eagerness caused him to completely mis-kick/air shot. He ran into a couple of blind alleys and it was Gawd we have a headless chicken here, he looks about 12 years old.... THEN. He got the ball on the right edge of the box, near the goal line. Two big defenders in front of him and he did one of those Sci-Fi TV series things - he just seemed to "shimmer" and suddenly he had not actually moved yet the two defenders were gone. If it was a Ronaldoesque step over it was far too fast for us to see it. Suddenly he was off and running, perhaps that settled his nerves? He was taking up positions and that shot on the turn couldn't have been more than 4 inches away from a dream debut goal. Oh yes, this is another interesting player. As someone in the bar said - Nathan Dyer with a brain and skill. At the end of the day, we had a fantastic second half yesterday. BUT that cannot excuse the fact that Puncheon was abysmal in the 1st half. He completely failed to find any ball to a players feet, he got in the way and gave the ball away (after Clyne) to set up their stupid soft goal. In that first 45 minutes IF we'd had ANYONE other than Puncheon on the right we could have been tearing them apart for longer. Give Mayuka a good run against Wednesday need to get him Saints Fit and integrated into the team asap and then that right side Puncheon enigma problem can go away and we will look much more impressive.. (Except that I am not sure of the defensive abilities of the newbie....)

What a weird afternoon. Took the Polish Honeymooners for a golf lesson (fark me it was hot) Got to our home pub well early and the staff were just asleep. Our Dubai_Saints chief Twit arrived and his dinner got screwed up putting him in a temper tantrum It took the staff 30 mins to change channels to the match and then we AGAIN had Arabic commentary Then Puncheon has an absolute MARE and it is comedy goal give away again The Twitterer decides to take his temper tantrum home to watch with Eng commentary, the Honeymooner says we can't leave we have the lucky Nun and you another another forum guy here (Great to FINALLY meet you Saint without a Halo!) And then kaboom Rickie Lambert beats FOUR defenders to score Clyne's goal has a worldy build up Puncheon shows Lallana how to get the ball into the goal from the near post And Mayuka looks - awful - air kicks and nerves and then HOLY COW one shimmy and two defenders step aside to give him an acre of space and then the IF RICKIE SCORES THIS HE IS JOINT TOP SCORER IN THE PL moment So next week what to do? Ban the Smithmeister? Same pub crap service and Arabic AGAIN? The Nun is annoyed as hell as she now has to leave my bar each match day Oh and the BEST moment? Second goal - The Arabic 'tater did that "Foreign Thingy" GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTON That lasted about 45 seconds Sweet Final word? Ramirez.

yes but the darned Poles have this sort of impossible to write/type sound of a z that can sound like a bee with a shhh and a tsk in it So it ain't quite a tsch sound but that was as good as I could spell it after watching the game in the pub and then seeing this news:)

Tactical change for today. I'm taking a lucky Nun to the pub. Photo on the match thread later if technology works properly (And no before you ask she's about 3 inches tall)

Rough Crowd. Bent Substitutions. Jeez, glad I'm gonna be watching from the safety of the pub Re Gazza, sounds like reverse psychology. Give the youngster plenty of time to get his head ready for the game in training and let him tell his mates so they can get to the game to watch.
