  1. So there you have it. The club will be funded going forward by Portpin giving them a Bank Overdraft. Portpin won't take any money out of the PP's, which in English means The club will of course use the PP's to pay Loan Shark rates of Interest to Chinnybank LLC of The Cayman Islands. No doubt the "Deal" includes Chinnybank ensuring the club uses the overdraft to buy all the other bits of land. Perfect. It will take 2 years this time, Chinny will get all the eggs back into one basket and then surprisingly the club will not be paying the interest on time when the PP's run out and Admin 4 pops the club and the surrounding land into Tesco's pocket and Chinny does get his money back
  2. Good mate of mine and massive ManUre fan tonight down the pub
  3. & I am having a (non Bearsy) proper 4some this evening with Kate Middleton, Jennifer Morrispn & FMDP Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
  4. Southampton FC ‏@officialsaints We've also had our newly-launched Japanese-language Twitter verified – you can find it at @SaintsFC_Japan. フォローして下さい! #saintsfc Now what was that shirt selling argument?
  5. More chance of the Dream Team being in charge at Christmas... Old Nick & Dubai_Phil. After all we both have Managerial experience at SMS have identical records W1 L1 and have never been relegated and only use brown paper bags to vomit into after too many Old Speckled Hens
  6. Just one input into the "Midfield Set Up" debate. From my lofty position sitting at the bar in the pub, it seemed to me that AL & JP became drawn into a deeper 4-5-1 than we had perhaps planned and picked a side for. By being drawn back, they left RL alone up front with virtually no close support in the early part of the game. Any balls up towards him were a piece of cake for the two CB's and there were no supporting players in range to pick up any second balls. In fact I would add JWP into that criticism. So anytime we picked the ball up it was heading back from space in front of our MF 5 with plenty of chances for the two FB's to have acres of space to join the attacks and time for Arsenal's MF to play the perfect ball. Second half (when Arsenal had re-tuned to a practice game) JWP started to play further up the pitch and started to find Saints players with his passing skills, in the first half he looked like a 17 year old Kid on a Saga Holiday. So while the MF shape may have been right (who is Gary Neville?) (that's an overseas fans response btw) they were too deep, and somehow ALL AND JP ended up being in never never land - they weren't supporting RL & holding the ball up in their final 3rd and they sure as hell weren't helping out either FB as seen from the goals. The only "evidence" I have in my input is HT stat 42% of the game was played in OUR final 3rd of the pitch. Somehow, someone in MF chickened out of the role they were SUPPOSED to play and sat too deep. NA showed this with his repeated attempts to wave players forward. We compressed ourselves, set up went to pot and we let them play. Do that against ANY team in the PL and we will get walloped
  7. There are many reasons why the continually sprouting of bestest fans is insulting and an embarrassment. But the key point is that so arrogantly ignores every other football club and fan on the planet. Now many of us have said that we simply feel that pcfc will never survive or begin to improve until some understanding of their situation and some humility is shown. Which is why, until somebody down that side of the M27 manages to pen something as spot on as this they have no hope depsite the best efforts of a few dedicated souls. read this skates, this is what football is about http://somepeopleonthepitch.tumblr.com/post/31748587810/why-lower-league-fans-should-sympathise-with-premier
  8. 1 step at a time. We need a point. Of course we want 3, but right now one point will make a huge difference. Not saying we should set our stall out for a draw, simply saying that we should not blow everything in a desperate chase for a win. We were rubbish against Wigan because the fans & players seemed to believe it would be easy and we could get a win - it was the "easy" game of the first three. There are no easy games in the PL, and anything apart from total effort, focus and commitment from the players and fans in the ground and Villa can beat us. We can win but we must not be 1-1 with 5 mins added time and leave ourselves open to a sucker goal by throwing the kitchen sink at them and leaving KD unguarded at his near post...... Substitutions will be crucial as players run out of gas. NA has to show he learnt a lesson against the Mancs (from Mr Neville)
  9. Monterey Bay Whale Watching Trip. Be sceptical, expect to be ripped off see nothing for 40 minutes then IF the big man upstairs is smiling on you that day you will find yourselves surrounded by whales.... We had Blue Whales & Humpbacks. One was so close to the boat I could have stepped onto his back. Got covered in Whale Spume, even today for me and my kids it still ranks as one of the best days of our lives. We drove from LA to SF, started at Farmers Market and did the coast road. Found a small town just before Hearst Castle & a classic Motel - it was full. They sent us to the top of the Hill and we stayed at a Pine Lodge. Had a cabin that had 2 bedrooms, kitchen & lounge and included dinner for 2 (Kids got Pizza) for $105 for the room. Pictures of celebs on the wall of the restaurant inc Jennifer Aniston on her honeymoon there. And I have NO idea what it was called.
  10. Have mates who go nuts for it. So fully understand why people get passionate about it. Me? Hate it. Can eat one of those rice ball things with a salad at a push and some thousand island dressing but no - sorry hate it. Now a perfectly BBQ'd 300g Australian Rib Eye..... Ah now THAT is perfection
  11. Ah so the picture clears slightly. SAF is never going to buy the CLUB, he's just the only mug Chinny could find to con Bashar Assad into putting his running nest egg into a nice safe property investment in the UK. SAF then gives a written offer (with cash in the bank) to Chinny of 5mil and poof the PST is dead in the water. No not because of the valuation being didgy, but because CHinny will have enough evidence to actually go to court and challenge the decision. The PST having to pay legal fees for 18 months of court battles over the valuation of their ground. Chinny still picks it all up but only after the porr dumb fans have lost their cash and admin 4 (or is it 5) comes quicker than we expected thanks to the Briefs. Sweet Oh hi gang, yeah you're all invited to the wedding btw 18 quid a night for a nice double room in a 2* hotel in almost walking distance of the centre of Krakow. Home after causing gbh to a brat on the flight (no I didn't get upgraded - BUT just to annoy GM I did on the way there - which WAS cool as FMDP was on an airmiles ticket that only cost 50 quid....) So nice to have a proper keyboard to misspell with again
  12. As entertainment on an airplane to kill time. Yeah. Pap had it right Prometheus was dull, it was completely seen before - BUT IT WAS on a (tbf 10 inch screen 6 inches from my face) Jason Statham finding ever new ways to kick someone in the nuts was perfect... Cos with Jason you are looking at him (and the characters) in the other movie you are trying to discern BIG PICTURES of BIG MOMENTS - the close up shots are primarily the only things you can see and so of the characters and in the first 51 minutes, the main character is David who is as stereotyped (conspiracy in a Scifi movie) as JS is. The "I'm bored I'm getting out of here Engineers". The Robot doing things nobody else can see.... Without being able to see the visuals - yeah it was sh1t So yeah. Safe was better. Maybe Prometheus will work on my HD telly when it is shown. BUT I stand by my point, a central character in Prometheus is doing nothing different than being the conspirator - we've seen that in Avatar and about a million other Sci Fi films. It is based on a current stereo-typical view of the US Defence/Gov/Big Business conspiracy theories. FFS can NOBODY write a modern Sci Fi movie about say - Sci Fi? instead of looking for analogies etc THAT is as predictable in a movie as Jason being Jason. Just seen THAT so many times before. (Note this review is brought to you on the What to choose to watch on the Telly basis. Sure would never pay to go to the cinema to see JS)
  13. Deserving of a post on it's own. Big Miracle. What an absolutely lovely film. It made us laugh, it made us cry, it made us remember "The Gipper" and those crazy days. It managed to take the p1ss out of the media while show what they could do "for good", it showed the Inuit in a wonderful light and, in the way that Greenpeace looney Drew Barrymore & Big Oil's Ted Danson ending up working with "The Commies" and the clone of a 20 something year old Jim Carey who breaks the story. No idea whether it has been and gone on TV channels, but it is a good film to watch with the family (oh the young ones will cry) or the misses (oh she'll cry) A damned fine old fashioned uplifting story. And of course " inspired by true events"
  14. Watched it on my flight home on Friday. I lasted 51 minutes. Sorry, while it was superb visually, the entire "somebody working against the mission" line was just so totally done to death before. That was what lost it for me. FFS we saw it in 2001 and there was just so much of the bleeding obvious in the film. Shame I was looking forward to it and I am sure that there could have been twists and turns in the plot and characters but it was just all so ÿawn" seen it all before. What I DID enjoy was Safe with Jason Statham. Let's face it. Jason has one character and so when you have a story written just for him you know what you are going to get - a romp and entertainment. Ain't gonna win any Oscars ever and probably not his best film Top 5 but just what was needed to kill 6 hours, and some of the fight scenes did cause me to wince, so yeah that worked. I'll have another go at Prometheus one day on DVD when I don't want to be entertained and can let the brain switch off from why is a young Peter O'Toole being so boringly obvious as a robot
