Anecdotally. Was getting on the Emirates flight home yesterday afternoon. Walking through the Business Class section. Three rows in on the aisle seat window side is some guy in his late 40's reading the 657 Crew book. Fortunately, being a frequent flier I have managed to develop that perfect knack of just dropping the shoulder and a sight body turn which can propel a back-pack perfectly into the side of a head whilst being able to say oh sorry almost instantly. A skate in biz class on a long haul flight eh? Must have sweet talked an upgrade from cattle, same as me. My chosen take off reading? Saturday's souvenir programme.... Much classier

Overall I'd agree with that. However on Saturday Kelvin had one shot to deal with which he made an excellent save from, and was let down by Fonte (OK so TV said he was fouled, but in a position like he was in he should have been MUCH stronger in the tackle or made sure the player didn't get away from him) For the first goal, (Fonte again) lost his man. The only critique I have was that Kelvin did not seem to "Stand Tall" as the player shaped to shoot and seemed to squat down (almost shrink) giving the striker a bigger target. However, seeing as Joe Hart has faced 4 shots and conceded 4 goals, Keeper is NOT the most critical position on the team at this moment, let's see what he has in front of him in a week's time. With more protection he may be fine

There was a lengthy Car Rental Company rant on the Lounge not so long ago. I almost had something to add to that on Thursday. There I am, landed at Gatwick just after lunchtime, collect my rental car get out the entire Multi-Storey thing onto the road, find the radio dial and it pops onto Radio 2. BANG OUCH SCREECH. FFS, first words that came out the radio.... And in Sports News Chanrai has submitted a revised bid for portsmouth.... Luckily the head on wheel was in laughing but I did nearly kill someone as the car shot forward into the roundabout. SPent the next 20 mins wondering whether IF I had hit someone I could claim damages and get on their next creditor list. Then my only chance to look on here I saw the PST had revised THEIR offer. All that in 3 days out of Mission Control. WTF will happen in the next two weeks this weekend when I head off to Poland to spend quality time with the fiture in-laws......?

Wow mega busy 3 days back home, no time or access until now. Agree with this Ottawa. We looked OK first half but whether it was the TWO knocks that Fox took, we just seemed to run out of steam, and zing with the ball and Fox hardly seemed to get forward compared to CLyne. We sortta slowed down to Rickie pace and the second half EVERYTHING seemed coached and pre meditated and lacking passion and belief - & I include the crowd in that, WHAT a change since the Coventry game. We might get away with pkaying ONE out of Guly/Puncheon/JRod out wide but not with two of them. JRod looks like he has something around the box but he is NOT the solution to the 4-3-3 in the way that Marian was for Hoddle. Three DREADFUL lapses of concentration by Fonte led to the two goals - a slack pass and failing to get back to cover his man for the first and "an old mans Saturday afternoon League howler" for the second. Totally endorsed my opinion that he wouldn't be up to the PL and unless we get that CB & Winger in we are in for a long season. Get them and we should be fine.
