Jeez. This thread is nearly as long as the PTS. It has to be clear to anyone that the deal is done with Bologna and now it is all about cutting back on what the agent will get and the side deal with Penarol, my bet is that both Bologna & Saints will try and cut their share by a half, and neither of them can scupper the deal just make it more difficult. Agent on his way to Uruguay to negotiate his cut with Penarol is a possibility that nobody has commented on. Que Sera Sera

hmmm. Which is another extremely good reason why the entire Arab Spring issue may one day turn out to have been not that well thought out. And that's it from me on this particular thread methinks. Eid Mubarak one and all. Hope you're enjoying the holiday.

OK, so we are all hoping the PST buy out happens. And it's been confirmed that they will have no PROOF of funds until September or even December. Now, forgive me here, but what we are now being told is that TB has to keep pcfc running for another two months on an "insh'allah" Hmmmmmm So TB's statement (as commented on by Rallyboy) is false, OR Nasri knew something about UK IP business when he wished everyone Eid Mubarak yesterday

Fringe. Just finished catching up with Season 4. Still believe there are times when the scriptwriters have smoked too much weird sh1t or dropped more LSD tabs. BUT, the fact that they were able to effectively "Reboot" the entire show in S4 by wiping Peter out of the Timeline and creating an all new reality was clever. The way they managed to then bring back the baddie was, TBH not that impressive, until you get to the last 3 episodes. The totally random WTF episode (Letters of Transit) just when you think it should all be winding up opened the door for another cracking reboot of the plot for a Series 5. Very clever story telling, mixed with one of Sci Fi telly's deepest and best played characters - Walter. S4 just increased my "like" status on the show and am looking forward to it returning with the final 13 episodes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbcX1o24fug&feature=player_embedded

Again one BIG point EVERYONE keeps missing. Italy is SCREWED. There is this minor insignificant issue about The Euro. Taxes are flying up every month, business activity is at an almost stand still. Italy's economy is hurting like hell and that means the FANS aren't spending the money on football, they are trying to eat. Picking up some bargains at 12mil in Italy is the equivalent of paying 30 or 40 mil over here or in Spain. Bologna are DESPERATE for the cash - we are the Bird in Hand - you can bet they won't spend ALL of it on replacements

Ok so today is MONDAY. We have been led to believe that some undercover nutjobs registered a pledge to the PST and sent in their 100 quid. So now it is judgement day. Were you feeding us B*sh1*t to imporve your imaginary standing on here or were you real nutjobs. IF the PST needs 15mil by Friday one HAS to assume that the Pledgers have received some kind of communication on how to pay the remaining 900 quid by now - after all, it can take 3 working days to clear a cheque.... So, can anyone (hell even poor old schitzoid PES) scan copy and paste the How to pay your pledge document for us? Not for one moment have I posted this in the belief that PST have not actually got around to proving funds to TB yet. I believe them, they are on top of this. Clearly

But iff you watch again, on at least 3 occassions, Lallana needed an extra touch - once would have been a shooting oppty, the other two were where he could have put players through. In that first 10 minutes Citeh could hardly get the ball. With just a BIT more belief (and quality) we could actually have hurt them in that whirlwind opening. After that yes they had "half chances and a couple of should have got shots on target, BUT the defensive shape was there and it was never "Leeds Away on TV" type defending. Our reactions? We knew we had the rump of an L1 team on the pitch against the best team in England. We (and the media) but especially Citeh expected a gentle "pre-season" warm up for bigger games to come. We are elated and so were the players. We from "Shock", the players from finally believing. The reaction is right. We can do a job in this league, that is the reaction. We also know we WILL have to play every game like a cup final and that is why we will have a larger squad and why rotation will happen more and more now

This is an ïnteresting" moment. As followers of PTS will know, many of us have an issue about sustainability in our finances. Our PL INCOME means we can afford Ramirez and others out of cash FLOW. But the thing is that cash FLOW has not happened YET. So spending 15mil over 3 years - sensible (even though some posters saying it is a lot of money) - we have the 5mil in the bank from ST sales. To now have to UP that initial payment - well do we actually have that cash (from ST's & OXO) Ïn The Bank? Will The Don actually have to go and borrow a couple of mil cash? No doubt we CAN afford him. No doubt hcdajfu. BUT do we have the PHYSICAL cash in hand, or does The Don take out a loan/Ask the Family.... Moral High Ground watch day today. IF we have the cash in the bank, what does THAT do to offers for a CB/Phillips/AN Other?

The Tello deal is possible. Barca want him to sign a long term contract, otherwise he may be free to leave. IF he signs that then the Twitter stories were that they would let him out on a season long loan. All highly improbable but then so was the thought of seeing Citeh with 10 men behind the ball in the last 10 mins yesterday and watching them hoof it anywhere clear as the Red Arrows rained down on them

If Adm plays left then you need an AM "in the hole" with our new formation. That will NOT be JWP, Davis Cork or Morgan so that means Guly, JRod, Lee, Puncheon or Sharp. But if you stick Punch or Guly there who plays on the right? And after yesterday totally unconvinced that JRod (or Sharp) are CM's. So do we play Rickie there??? Is Lee the work horse with an engine like Guly? Pretty sure NA sees AL 1st choice with Guly as back up in that position and why we are chasing Ramirez. The new formation allows Adan to drift where he likes when we attack and he did that to great effect in the first 15 minutes yesterday. We have a LOT of quality players now and a lot of changes tactically to be expected built around a solid core. Some Saints fans don't see it yet - had a lol at one who thought JRod was playing alongside Guly in a 442 yesterday when we kicked off What Adam HAS to do is to STOP taking TWO touches. Couple of occassions yesterday he looked distinctly Championship with his first touch. Now WHEN he gets that sorted he will be perfect in the centre

Another pompey myth exposed. But your Honour, I can't even text let alone use a computer

Their 4th goal David?? The morning after feeling. Guly still my MoM, alone up front dragging everyone around - for the first 10 minutes or so it worked a treat, JRod got involved lots of nice passing play in and around their box, and we had a couple of shots (off target) but tbh we were surprised we didn't think we'd even get one off. Our highlight was Guly skinning Kompany for pace and getting hauled back - more of a how the hell did he do that. Then they got into it, JRod is back on the edge of his own box making last ditch tackles and it's like watching Rorkes Drift - Disciplined all hands to the pumps defending. Felt Rickie should have come on at HT but Nige left it a bit longer. And omce he came on you could almost SEE a change in the mindset of the players, it was almost as if they had a (small) injection of belief. YEs we know the positive mind set, but us fans didn't BELIEVE we could go there and play - we HOPED we could go there and play. When Rickie came on the players suddenly seemed to believe as well. Rickie's build up play skills - touches lay offs and headers and suddenly Citeh were the ones with 10 men behind the ball and hanging on. The Citeh fans in the pub were shouting at them to get out, the neutrals were saying WTF and then bang. It wasn't JUST that Rickie buried it it was that he TRIED to lay it off to a player in a better position FIRST before placing it. Reactions from us lot were nuts - but were still of the WE'VE SCORED AT CITEH variety. Then on comes Davis. Oh we're bringing on a DM there goes any chance of going on to win the match then... BANG! Stupid loopey screaming dancing YOU ARE KIDDING ME reactions all round. Hell even a blast of you're not singing anymore to the Citeh lads. We all knew we wouldn't hold on but we tried bloody hard. I don't blame Fox, he was off balance, he had two players behind him and didn't make the connection he wanted. No blame from this game. We served up a cracker of a match. EVERYONE in the build up on TV was expecting a dull walk over. The summary at the end was "Epic Start" to our PL Coverage. And so many comments from Journos & other PL fans on Twitter last night. And of course - OK so we didn't sell out (50 quid a pop for a televised game after the L1 & NpC years will take some getting used to) but those who went - what a great noise you all made - well done
-
Well, it was Howard Webb in charge

Another skate plan that didn't work out as expected
-
Oh so we lost 1 offside goal & 2 defensive mistakes vs 2 CRACKING goals. Mistakes we can work on
-
Excellent shift from ALL the team today. Big shout out to Guly Was given a job in t the 1st half and did it well and then even though he must have been knackered he still played in 2 other positions. Dxb Saints in the pub loved the 1st half moment where he skinned Kompany. Lambert - PL quality finisher showed the ability to hold the ball up Puncheon - wasn't his best in the 1st half & got in th wrong place a coulple of times 2nd but put in a good stint & got past the defender JRod great start to the game faded Adam - when he learns he can only get one touch in the pL he will be lethal could have had a couple IF ONLY he didn't take the 2nd touch Jos & Jose - Immense well done boys Clyne & Fox - great effort from both, Fox especially as JRod faded in 1st half he had so many 2 on 1's from some of the PL's finest, shame he messed the defensive header up KD couple of cracking saves, beaten on the near post though hmm heard that one before JWP. Couple of mistakes but what a debut Morgan. What we always knew - PL quality WHEN he learns to shoot Davis? Legend what an introduction. Sharp & Guly in CM at the end.,.. Well done Nige you scared the Krap out of them and suddenly EVERYONE knows who we are. Best defeat I've watched since the FA Cup defeat to Man Ure while in L1 Bring in some quality and this team could scare a lot of teams
