Well according to Weston & Derry perhaps he should - would be a start, He could get onto tactics as a second step once he masters that technique. Perhaps we could send him a powerpoint - how to give a proper forecast... Oh of course no need for a ppt we have our own travelling Forecast - he's not busy at the weekends -

3 minutes gone WHY AREN'T WE STUFFING THIS RUBBISH? AP out -
Interesting how cricketers don't get discarded when they drop a slip catch, Strauss dropped one in the Oval Test and the last pair added an extra match winning 38 runs causing us to lose. Straus should have been sacked. In the Plymouth game, whilst we were on top, Hammond missed TWO headers where the commentary team felt it would have been easier to score. We had one thread about the meits of Hammond to the team, and yet IF either had gone in we would in all likelihood have been popping Champagne corks celebrating our first opening day win in 19 years. So instead we get 858 threads about AP being no good. 58 chances created not enough goals scored. That has sod all to do with the manager but everything to do with the coaching staff and their technical support team not setting up training in the areas we need. (And before everyone moans, who appointed most of the backroom staff?) It is a worryingt time but it is not time to call Samaritans (anyway you won't get through, all the lines are full of calls from down the M27)
-
Such a tense build up today..... Will we actually be able to log into Saints Player in a timely fashion and will be get to hear the legend that is DM? Very worried about today. Football will be fine
-
Yep. This thread was to salute Stuart Broad on a maginificent performance. And to recognise that part that Trott played in getting them both and England to such an unbelievable situation. Up there amongst the greatest Test Match recoveries of all time Shame he missed out on the personal world record, but well done. Now after batting for over 6 hours would you open the bowling with him or with Finn? Broady will be no doubt still in the zone, guess we're about to see how well that conditioning work has helped him!
-
As I mentioned - Hants could be FORCED to give him time in the middle As in Blackmailed http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cricket/international/england/7968647/England-v-Pakistan-fourth-Test-day-two-tea-close.html IMHO he should continue to do what he is doing - disappear up his own backside BUT he does need some cricket from somewhere before the Ashes. Think Coombe Bissett might have a gap next Sunday - I can't stay over long enough for a game

Oh and that is a dig at a number of posters. Not just one. This forum needs ALL of them otherwise it wouldn't be such a laugh
-
I'll defemd every single members right to state their position and opinion in a debate. I also defend everyone's right to quote a post - how else can you answer a critical point. What I DO feel is going wrong is that some posters have no actual awareness of what a DEBATE or a DISCUSSION is. It is about both sides making a logical argument, assessing the responses and then countering them. The fundamental PROBLEM we now have is that this does not happen. A great deal of posters are Hyper Intelligent Mega beings from another planet. They ARE the only opinion and they are ALWAYS right. This mentality is ego centric not experience centric, and it sorely damages the possibility of debate. Anyone who makes anything other than an eloquent riposte which considers the possibility that Mr Right is knowing it all and is RIGHT becomes - in an ego centric world, a personal attack that has to be aggressively defended. I am sure that far better amateur Pshycologists than me could write fantastic thesis papers using this forum. But, the fact is the RIGHTS exist on here. They do not break any rules, they respond the way they do because that is what they are. I actually enjoy it. Because knowing that PEOPLE are ALL different and the way it keeps being shown up PROVES that football teams are not about simply skill but also about the mental state and the psychology and dynamic of the team. Ignoring fools, antagonists or simply those who agressively defend their always RIGHT position is a poor thing to do. It stops you personally from learning and making sure that you don't fall into the same mistakes in life, let alone on here. Oh and who SAYS we don't have a better player than Antonio more ready to be consistent WHEN we need him lined up? I said it before - IMHO I think we have ALL agreed that this season is CRITICAL. Now is NOT the time to buy potential first team players. We need to buy PROVEN first team players. I'll start shouting NC & the Scouting team out when we get to the end of the window

Tuned in to the 4th Test at lunch time, Oh dear wandered back to do some work. Tuned in just before tea to hear (surprisingly) the commentators speculating of the possibility England might be able to squeeze their way to 250. Fantastic effort by Broad and of course Trott, and a wonderful evening of watching proper test match batting. Lot of thinking to do before the Ashes. Pressure coming on Hampshire to make them give KP some batting practice according to some journo's

Now, seeing as for once I am fully experienced in the matter of managing Football Teams on the big stage, I think I may be qualified to pass a sensible comment here. Would I be right in assuming that i can see the hand of King Kevin Keegan at poopey? It's an 11 a-side game as I recall, and about the only person in English Football who has ever tried to play football with NO defenders is King Kev in his score more days at Newcastle when he signed every forward or AM in the market. Clearly AA is from the same stable. They have FOUR defenders on their books. So he goes out and signs Kanu And is after Kitson on loan. That is the best news I've heard from this thread for weeks. FOUR defenders for the entire season in their squad of 20. Oh delight, Hell even I know you need at least ONE more than that to sit on the bench PMSL brilliant

Oi! stop telling everyone the plan. That was posted on page 200 and something. Has always been plan A. The only reason for the smoke & mirrors is the ability for many leeches to also make money out of the demise as agents admins etc
