So, no income from TV. 19 home games plus the cup matches bringing in 600k per game (20,000 at 30 quid average each) Much of that weekly home game revenue was paid in advance by Season Ticket holders So let's say 15,000 St's - that money has clearly all gone, leaving weekly home game revenues of 5,000 at 30 quid which is 150k every two weeks. One player alone costs them 160k in the same time period And the skate fans still WONDER why they are in trouble? Grant talks about not selling and building the team.

There is one other minor point. Just what EXACTLY did they use as collateral to borrow the money to pay the last few wage cheques? Are we to believe that somebody gave them loans with no security? Or, as I seem to recall reading back in September or October, were not some of those short term loans secured against "future tv income"? I am not sure if it was Sultan Bin Trump who mentioned it or just speculation, but they DID borrow to pay the wages before. perhaps this current "predicament" is nothing to do with the snow, more to do with lenders noticing that they've just been shafted. Could get better, if the club gave security that wasn't theirs to give

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/portsmouth/6938168/Portsmouths-plight-the-downside-of-a-decade-of-excess-in-Premier-League.html Nice one in context terms And a look at the list at the end raises the question - Next?

Well, in light of the new view that somehow the PL would prefer to have them stumble through to the end of the season I have two questions. 1) Is it time for a how many pages will this thread get to by then sweepstake? 2) Under UK ambulance chasing compensation culture, can you guys back there start to claim damages for split sides, new computer keyboards/laptop/screens having repeatedly sprayed coffee/beer/Cab Sav on them after reading the latest updates? I seriously think the PL have opened a whole can of compensation claim worms here

Thx, saved me a fiver phoning to check up! Chilly 21C here mate couple of puffy clouds about. Had to wear a fleece to watch the Burj opening though. Getting chilly in the evenings, but nowhere near cold. Sounds like a slide down the hill to Deacons for emergency rations for you today

You have to take your hat off to Sultan Bin Trump though. I mean heck, he'd only heard of the skates for the first time 6 months ago, and yet now he is such a die hard committed fan he's willing to give up everything. Wow, if only we'd known that it was morally sound that you could cement such tribal alliegance in such a short time, we coould have spent the Lowe years happily supporting someone less painful. Still it will help Westwood's councelling to know that he needs only wait 6 months after their demise before he can happily change his names and buy an ST in the Northam. Luckily we don't allow bells SBT wants to be seen as a philanthropist. Hahahaha http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010...umur-investors He finally noticed the Hydra Executive portrayed him as an (allegedly) arrogant *@% hahahahahaha I'm Lovin it

Why Markus Liebherr should buy Portsmouth Football Club

About the only value to society that Nottarf Krap has right now would be to use it as an emergency South of England Grit storage facility. After all it is a large empty space, even on match days -
So, c'mon peeps, the world is waiting! How is the end of the world? Have the pipes burst? Have all the numpties who parked on the M27 been clamped or are the clampers stuck in the snow? Your readers NEED to know

Best to start off down in Skatesmouth. The ones that have never been read burn so much more easily and there'll be a lot of them -

lol He cannot be very bright then, even Lifelongsaint had a pretty damned good idea who was behind Sultan Bin Trump, and it wasn't the Unit 1 link to SE Asia....
-
Interesting article, we wait with baited breath Also, I have to say this headline caught my eye as well. Did he have an Industrial Unit near his house as well then? http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2010/jan/04/warren-beatty-sexual-conquests

You knew it was going to happen didn't you.... Yep, it's currently 21C with scattered clouds here with a low this evening of 15C. -
Latest excuse? We have been unable to pay the players today as due to the extreme weather warnings issued by the BBC our Health & Safety Executive deemed it too high a risk for our employees to carry the cash received on Saturday to the bank in case they may slip up, again

Keep up, his part in this story was ages ago.

bet the skates wish they could get excited about possible loan extensions on Twitter :-)
-
Now that's nice, it makes the whole thing so simple and clear, why even a Skate could understand that. And I bet Gaydamak is charging them about 20% interest on that debt as well
-
One point to note in all of this. The PL have been stating that they will ensure the TV money is used to pay off footballing debts for a considerable time, probably from the day the transfer embargo was put in place. (googlemeisters can probably find the original statement from the PL). Sooooo, if between that original statement and today, IF any of the interim loans had been secured against money expected from TV revenue, then the people who offered that security in order to get new loans could be in a spot of bother, misrepresentation at the very least. Perhaps a new can of worms could be opened up

Which can be translated as... Oh cr@p, so if I keep these shares I'm liable for HOW MUCH? Quick find some idiot I can give them away to. Meanwhile, a point of interest, the UAE (of which Sultan Bin Trump is a Citizen) has no "bankruptcy" laws. So if he should get cleaned out by his venture with Portsmouth, he would have to repay everybody everywhere that he owes money to. Until he pays off his debts he will stay in jail. Meanwhile, wasn't he supposed to have picked up his $80million bonus cheque around the end of October? hmmm wonder why that wasn't forthcoming? I know his semi State firm was in Abu Dhabi but.... http://business.maktoob.com/20090000413578/Corruption_high_in_Dubai_state_firms/Article.htm?utm_campaign=Day-Newsletter&utm_medium=Main-News1&utm_source=Day-Newsletter&utm_content=

Agree. But, assuming we find one, how would you set up the midfield? New LW ----- Morgan/Hammond ------ Lallana -------- Papa? What about the need for a DM? Lallana is at the moment pretty much the second name on any team sheet after Lambo, the problem comes in finding a position for him with the rest of the midfield having a balance. The Papa/Antonio double act on the right gives us the threat of raw pace which Lallana doesn't have, could we find a LW that has experience, pace and knows the offside law? Balancing the side is not easy with him in it, but he (like MLT) has to be made to fit into a system. Would we need a LW with a diamond formation? Who'd be a manager? Anyway let's hope if it is Ward that Pards has pulled another nugget out of the hat
