  1. Antonio you muppet why didn't you cross it!
  2. If only you could put this and the footie feed in the same window
  3. 234 of us you are a star!
  4. which Sky Sports Channel is showing the game? Have a link to all 3 of them want to know which one to try each takes 5mins to get going!
  5. Glad I'm not the only one with a bad vibe about tonight. I worry we already believe we are through as fans. Fingers crossed
  6. You need a good hypnotist to take you back to your last shared memory of time spent with your wallet. HTH
  7. Respect to those who helped out. Nice story to read for a change
  8. Just back from Blighty. Was invited on my old Crocket CLub's annual 10 mile walk Sunday. Had expected to end up in A&E with blisters as I only had a pair of Wellies, but no was fine. Ended up in A&E after falling off my mum's sofa ROFL'ing at Teletext about the Skates sueing the PL. Glad to see the thread (ie the Few) has continued to provide great entertainment while I was off line. And, thanks for asking am fine, bruised bum from hitting the coffee table on the way down. Now, wonder if I can sue them for Health & Safety, not giving a "you're going to ROFL" warning before their press statements
  9. Thank fook I will be in an internet and Sky free zone for the rest of the weekend and won't have to suffer watching this
  10. Perfect. And there you have the likely answer to everything we've been seeing. Shame it makes people suffer but then people like him NEVER care about the collateral damage they cause As for my comment about delaying tactics - I still believe they will last the season, and I am also "hoping" they get hit with the minus 10 next year. I'm not one of the "total destruction" fans, although I reserve judgement as I still feel that the dirty laundry will be a lot worse than anyone can imagine and that fate may be the only eventual solution. Still if it DOES happen then I am sure it will result in a huge change in attitude in football so the few can console themselves as being martyrs to the cause of making things better for all other English fans. (Oh alright :smt081 is what I meant!) Meanwhle woo hoo blagged an upgrade, cold and rain here I come! Will miss the weekend's entertainment on here, closest me mum has to Internet covers her hair curlers
  11. But that's the whole point. If this court case takes months then HMRC cannot wind them up. It is all about playing for time, and staying up
  12. Ah this was a good way to start the day http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/tottenham/6989647/Tottenham-manager-Harry-Redknapp-charged-with-tax-evasion.html
  13. I noticed on the Exeter FC web site that they are promoting "An evening with MLT" it looks the same format as we had over here in Dubai (when 19c moaned like a tw*t) It's on the Friday night before the game for those making a weekend, it comes HIGHLY recommended, was great fun
  14. Should be all over by the time I get on my plane after lunch tomorrow then
  15. No doubt the conversation with Mike Richards went along the lines of "Trust me Habibe, it will all be sorted tomorrow no problem you see insh'allah" Perhaps it's time to remind them for the 3rd time of Chris Ryan's book page 2 Rules of Engagement in Iraq #1 "Never Trust an Arab" Meanwhile, we all know that tomorrow is Friday right? Now think back to takeover thread Ver 71.9 What day of the week are banks shut in the Middle East Region and is in fact their version of a Sunday? yep so nothing until Monday then :-)
  16. Sounds a wise signing, we've needed cover at RB. That's a new defence sorted would still like to see cover for Lambo in this window so we can stick to a playing style if he needs a rest or picks up a knock. James moving into his DM role gives us cover there for the moment and pressure on MS& DH in the centre Perhaps the cost of Ward's wage demands threatened this or another deal
  17. OR there could still be another target and AP felt that Seabourne gave him the option to pay higher wages for another position, we'll never know for sure and the cov telegraph doesn't say very much
  18. Wow am I glad I went downstairs to watch the cricket while eating my lunch, NOT FFS Oh well at least we didn't lose the series. Will we make 120 all out? Nick - will be in the Old Ale House about 8pm Sat night, flying visit for work meetings next week, 6X and a curry if you're around
  19. So what would be funny today is if it rains in the South, all the snow melts, and they gave away all those free tickets for nothing. Which is my way of saying - How's the weather at the moment? as I have to come zooming back for a couple of days and want to know whether to pack my wellies or my swimmers. But the GOOD news is 6X on Saturday and a chortle down Deacons with the locals:-)
  20. Carsten Jancker Rudi Skacel
  21. I'm pretty darned certain that Agents fees are classed as footballing debts. If they aren't paid off in full in an admin they don't get the "golden share/licence" back So Sky won't pay the agents from the TV revenue as those debts are in ADDITION to what is owed to the clubs = which leaves them still banging the doors down at FP
  22. Chillax, the longer they delay, the longer the embargo, the less time to get and bed in replacement BSQ players into the first team. Remember that admin today is not what we really want. We want them to be in with a chance of staying up on the day that the transfer of points penalties to next season comes into effect and THEN to fall apart, get relegated normally, go into admin and have the minus 10 (at least) for next season. Far more legs in this thread if THAT happens AND it blows their chances of a quick return with the parachute money which will be secured against even more loans no doubt Oh BTW how come nobody else thinks it is funny that they believe they can get out of the mess by bringing in new players in the window... Don't they stop and think that all the other strugglers will be looking to find cheapie loans and Bosmans as WELL? Who'd you rather go to on loan Skates or Hull/Bolton/West Ham.....
  23. I lent Al Faraj a copy of Accounting for Dummies
  24. I think it is pretty clear that he went with SBT simply because he believed that they had found a foolproof methodolgy to hide the identity of the real owner and money man. Munto Finance showed it was possible to simply "not exist" but to get approved as a club owner. Again, the research and effort needed to set up a "shell company" to hide a beneficial owner is simple, remember I posted ages ago about how in the days of leveraged deals even I could have bought Saints with no money (like the glazers/Hicks/Gillet did). My issue was nobody would have believed it was me (it would have been a bank loan) So part of the mess is that they thought they had hidden the man who wanted to move his (allegedly ill gained) assets away from the jurisdiction of his ex country. My guess is that they'd done it before and thought it was easy. It wasn't. So my guess is that yes SBT did have the cash. Unfortunately he managed to c8ck up the cover up and the PL quietly wouldn't let him use it.
  25. Oh I do wish I'd met investors who were that naive during my business life. We didn't know how bad it was (That's what accountants and Google are for) We didn't know all the problems (It would have taken you 30 seconds to find someone to ASK) We need to be allowed to compete fairly (No you fecking don't, the REASON that you are in that mess is because for the past 5 or more years YOU CHEATED by spending more money than you had - read Arsene Wenger & Michel Platini's thoughts on the subject, but of course, you probably never heard of them did you) You couldn't make those sorts of comments up. How on EARTH were they conned into buying them? Have they never heard the words Due Dilligence? I mean, I know we have like zero consumer protection legislation in the Middle East in general, but surely they must have heard the words Caveat Empor
