hhhhmmmmm again And who historically has good relations with Seymour Pierce? Hopefully Amanda Staveley and some of her pals from Andy's contact book down this way, the alternative is too horrific

hmm Bahrain?

Shame we're not allowed to gamble down here, it was always a dead cert, just like waiting for some good news from Saints or watching England in a World Cup. Still the GOOD news was that because it was obvious what would happen in the tennis I managed to finish watching Series 1 of Fringe on download. Tough call in the freaky chick detective stakes - Anna Trov or Gillian Anderson.... Eric must get a yellow card - not having been on all day until late, especially seeing as it was Friday - so just for him - I had a proper DRAUGHT pint of Old Speckled Hen last week - Oh you have NO idea how good it tasted mate
-
Murray loses first set so nothing new there then, and we get a leak about a new bidder Hmm which will get more exciting this afternoon/evening
-
Ah the takeover actually happened on pages 76 through 84. You are currently reading the waiting for completion section which as it is sponsored by the BBC is in actual fact a repeat of the Paul Allen thread, the Dan Williams Thread, the well, you know.... Today's official gossip There is no gossip HTH

Image Rights problem. I'm apparently contracted to the European Tour/PGA. It's Tiger Woods, Colin Montgomerie or Rory Mcilroy only I'm afraid. They gave me awful stick about being pictured having a chat with Fed Express on CNN a couple of years back when I was supposed to be the exclusive joke teller to Tiger. Hmm now here's an idea - maybe Pinnacle didn't have enough money but they held a dozen debentures at Wimbledon and are hoping Murray makes it through so they can sell those seats at a zillion quid each on Sunday (Oh BTW you do know that the tickets to the Race to Dubai final tournament thingy in November are available on-line and are free if you register early enough?)

46C and 50% humidity today - yeah right. Would be like trying to hold a golf club while in a sauna - effing driver goes further than the ball... I thought it was hot trying to take my tent down last Monday in a field in Somerset, tried to walk to the pool this afternoon, got halfway and decided that was enough exercise for the week and came back for a lie down. It is HORRIBLE outside over here, but at least while indoors I have A/C. Time for tennis and a cool beer methinks

Everyone's out playing Golf

Alps IMHO I think you will find that the PRICE is the same for everyone. What will vary will be how that is STRUCTURED. Let us assume that the original Pinnacle figure was somewhere around 12mil CASH But you could also structure an offer of say 12mil OR EVEN 15mil including "deferrals" based on performance to Aviva or other creditors, or even TBF on revenue from player sales or season tickets, so the BID could be 9mil cash and UP TO 6mil in deferrals The way that Fry seems to be working is that he will take the CASH figure every time so Pinnacle would get back into the driving seat HTH

This all comes back to a concept I posted before I came back to UK for 10 days. ASSUME for a moment that the rumours or mixes of backers were unfounded and that Pinnacle were serious, professional and legitimate from step one, and I try to use words to indicate ideas not to describe actual facts They make a non-refundable 500k deposit They proceed through Due Dilligence at great time and effort and no doubt cost They reach the end of the process and are faced with a letter that they need to sign which is "technically" not lawful in UK corporate law but extremely "normal" in terms of wishing to enter a "private club" Legal counsel opinion is that they cannot sign that letter... So there is an actual Nett result - the FL demanded signature on a contract and that caused the bid to fail, resulting in significant financial loss. Now today, Pinnacle are not the owners of Saints, and in fact have no link to us whatsoever. Which leaves them perfectly in the clear to take legal proceedings against the FL for damages resulting in loss of the money they paid out as well as loss of possible earnings. If legal counsel's opinioon is that the FL decision was legally incorrect under UK law then 1) Pinnacle would win and 2) The FL would be proven to have been wrong in imposing the penalty in the first place and with it proven wrong in a court they would have to (ala Bosman) change their (now) illegal decision In this way, TL et al get their money back, they get some recompense for what they lost out on by not owning the club AND we eventually get our 10 points back OR we have a case to claim compensation from the FL later in this or next season. Pinnacle re-emerge as the heroes of the whole game. Now I am not sure I have the terms or the process exactly right but I am pretty damn sure it is worth a chat with a lawyer Get on it Tony - it is a solid case and I am sure you can find some no win no fee support out there (Of course this all assumes that everything about the bid was complete and of course kosher) Which I am sure it was

Or spend a weekend having to cr*p in a Glastonbury loo....
-
93 days at the alleged 10k per day Plus no doubt expenses I wanna be an IP Rather than wasting my life on here being an IP address
-
What is this with the Hoff. Heard a bloke on Radio One going on about spending the weekend with him the other week when I landed in UK - all about taking the Hoff to a cricket match, going to an Agricultural fair up in Norfolk/Suffolk way. He trying to get some culture or something?
-
May I humbly suggest that just for today you do NOT use a PINNACLE ball. As you know the perfect golf swing is all about timing and rythm. If you keep looking down and seeing Pinnacle I worry that you may just (like some of us) want to thrash the cover off the ball, and of course, it will end up going nowhere
-
Sorry, I was recalling an old tale I had heard in a bar down here from a "geezer" from Romford who was, amongst other things a bouncer at nightclubs and a tubular technician and purveyor of fine used equipment at auctions about an imaginary IP business in Southend that was eventually taken over by an imaginary PLC. No truth whatsoever in tales from men in bars as we all know
-
Yeah but banging ones head is sometimes fun, specially at a Status Quo gig - oh, well, maybe not. More to the point though, even taking out the Fry-Up equation, anyone new coming in will be scared to death by the cash flow projections and will take at least a couple of days to build a new business plan. They will have to set a price for ST's, an expectation of worst case attendances and then set a playing squad budget, sharpen the knives and be ready to move on day one. 7 days from start to completion is highly unlikely IMHO, although announcement of a bid being accepted is possible earlier than that
-
Why thankyou Dog, some of us have been trying to point this out since day one. Not only is all of this in BT's best interests, it also fits entirely into the psych of a typical an Essex Barrow-Boy who made a buck from doing dodgy deals with the Essex Mafia. (But of course I am sure that description wouldn't apply to the partner of a major PLC so obviously that is a generalisation not an accusation). Drew & DMG were sold to pay the wages but the cost of buying the club goes up every week and the creditors get less.

Don't know if it would help but here's how I see timelines working. A bidder is interested, signs an NDA and proves funds probably happened Monday/Tuesday when Pinnacle finally pulled out The bidder gets access to all the old confidential data and reports and accounts He/She/It makes a value they think it is worth They offer that to Fry who probably puts the phone down They then use the secret communication link to keep Fry's ego intact and haggle A price is agreed Fry slams the phone down A structure is agreed (using the secret comms link) - ie how much is cash and how much is "deferred" They get to sit down probably with Dave Jones with the up to date cash flow analysis (and then run away screaming IT'S HOW BAD!!) They get to dig out any snippets They start to make their own accurate business plan They meet/interview existing employees to see who stays or goes They change their business plan They transfer the money - which IF it is coming from overseas can take a long time due to UK anti-money laudering rules They pull out That would take a minimum of 7 days from start to finish Which means next Monday/Tuesday at the earliest, longer if they want to have a new manager lined up Which, in plain English is my way of saying - I'm very confident that today will also be a good day for MB to watch the bikinis and the rest of us to watch Andy Murray do a Henman and let us down again (Oh and it should be a Pimms day today Thorpie, not a Guinness!) It also means that if anyone wants to know what is going on now we seem to have NDA's holding firm (Thank Fook) then stalk Dave Jones

Hmm Tennis link RF fit bird tanned legs We're being taken over by Sharapova..... PLEASE
-
Hmmm The Swiss were around from Day One Mark Fry mentioned a household name Pinnacle found a man in a house MJ found (according to some) no names That leaves a household name that was around weeks ago who hadn't popped up out of the woodwork. Personally I think you are nearly right. But your MS comment is probably round the wrong way It is likely to be the bloke who claimed to be The Stig who lives in a bedsit in Bristol or somewhere rather than the one unveiled as MS....
-
Yep. And one then asks why is that not there on their OS anymore......... Now all we need is an ex SLH Board member to pop up and say - yes that is definitely the same Richard Fry who sat in on our Board Meetings, or perhaps an ex SMS employee. personally I am pretty sure it is one and the same, good work guys
-
Don't go that way - think if this is true you'll hear a different type of response.. more like an explosion followed by a string of new media stories
-
The article (old story now) is fairly clear on what happened, ok so the man who wouldn't stretch the overdraft for a few days then... But the point for conspiracy - "it came as a bolt out of the blue" "you never thought Barclays would do what they did" they are pretty clearly stated in the article. So, the man who presided over a "bolt out of the blue" turns up at BT.... is the issue NOt the whole who put us into what and when.
-
Anyone with better google skills able to find out if a Mr Richard Fry has recently joined Begbies? Apparently it was on their web site because somebody emailed it to me, however when I google it it shows up on the partner page but there is then no mention of the article, so I am now either in receipt of an email showing games being played OR somebody has covered up and explosive piece of information http://www.begbies-traynor.com/richard_fry/29 and the link to us... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/untoldstories/4356000.Barclays____huge_profits_will_only_rile_Lowe___Co/ The name occurs just past half way So the man who strangely pulled the plug on our overdraft and appointed Begbues Traynor then appears as a new partner on the BT web site and is then removed... And interestingly the email does have an independent confirmation that the old phot was the same Mr R Fry. But as it no longer exists I can only post the links I can find curiouser and curiouser

So it is possible to speculate that Crouch was alleged to have paid a sum to cover the wages some time back... It is then not a huge leap of faith or logic to suggest that his "loan/donation" could have been re-worded to strangely exactly match the missing amount. The conspiracist could actually type the entire conversation - well I already lent you x and I am now in the consortium so we don't need to pay the deposit. I'd like to be proven to be wrong in my assumptions and analysis as then i could feel some pity for TL et al having lost 500k. Until then I stay highly suspicious and oh boy are those growing by the second... just recieving a nice new one for the conspiracy crew back in mo!
