Just to keep NickG & WSS happy here's one other minor nagging worry... Just supposing, IF Pinnacle weren't actually ready to finish everything off tomorrow, this would be an awfully predictable thing to leak 24 hours before possibly concerning news. But as I am sure that MLT had this as his #1 on his wish list I would think that unlikely, no doubt we'll all be dancing round the monitors when the completion press conference does a Lawrie Mac and brings KK into the room!
-
I think it is a pretty fair guess that MLT would have had a lot to do with this if it comes off, and it will be exactly what we need. The ONLY bit that worries me is the "comment" from NI about "Premier League quality" players... That didn't work for us in the CCC and I'd much rather we went after "exceptional L1 level players" But fingers stay crossed
-
The issue with that is the denial was the second Crouch denial that will eventually turn out to be not quite accurate... Like the not taking early payment from Arsenal for Theo one. Not a great start, I understand the reasons he couldn't technically confirm he would be involved but there are better ways of saying these things. I'm all for having him on board, successful, experienced, fan, but somebody should ensure he is only allowed to speak via the club's PR manager. One foot in mouth too many could cause problems - like the points deduction.

Off to pub with a TSW tourist. Taxi's here so Wish I could say this is a surprise, but these rumours have kept going around and around for some time and anyone who tried to comment ended up getting a virtual Burn the Witch. So no comment and i am sure it will all get sorted out in time for Friday

Fillet of Duck for breakfast is even MORE wrong than denying the kids access to their CITV

Don't worry anyone with an IQ of 190 or more could work it out.... yep just started watching downloads of Fringe - love it As for the enigma, I'll tell you after Friday but don't waste a whole day working it out or driving to Bletchley! As for the last bit, let's just say we have a discussion of the forum match with someone who plays for the awa side planned down here before that... Maybe will get some real dirt on their manager's evil ways!

Will be lonely, but I have no doubts the finger buffet will be great! Make sure you order something that will keep for a while in the Fridge

Just been rummaging in the cupboard under the stairs where one hides all those old things that were never any good but may come in handy one day. Had to bend down and get into a sort of stoop to get at what I wanted, hurt my darned back, but I knew it was in there somewhere, even though others were sure it had been thrown away as being a useless pile of junk a while back. Meanwhile, the litmus test approaches, will Friday finally prove to be a real day or will it turn out to be another in the sequence of lengthy explanations of why Thursdays can be Fridays sometimes depending on the time zone. Family off home safely back to UK this evening and a TSW VIP footballing legend lands in Dubai tomorrow, useful having lawyers in the house for 2 weeks it helps, explain so much about the way the world is, and a TSW'er in town means only one thing... Eric! Bullfrog alert Thursday!

Did I mention that I had a really great weekend on the East Coast? Them chicks were wearing really cute bikinis, I liked it a lot. At 48C, just sitting on the beach with the boys was really cool. Nice to know that in a land of confusion (no not him) and rapid change some of the old places just keep plodding on.

Then there was no allegedly about that service station story. I was there....... Had forgotten all about that. Amazing what you find out when nothing happens. Damn I hope by some weird quick of fate that it isn't the same bloke who went on to make zillions and is now buying us. Ye Gods, I'd almost prefer the amigos well ok not that much

Following recent disclosures from sources it appears that the new Board of SFC Ltd have agreed that in light of probable reduced attendances that they will now play their home games in Eastleigh while renting out SMS for events that will gain a larger attendance, such as BNP party rallies, London Underground Worker strike vote meetings, disgruntled Iranian electorate rallies and most importantly as a rest home for former members of Gordon Brown's cabinet. (Although there are doubts as to whether the stadium will be large enough)

Jeez, no sense of humour there this morning - must be raining again! It WAS Thorpie that posted the words, not me! So just that there is no misunderstanding I have now edited it and stuck a smiley in ok! Oh, look I did when I posted it, a smiley, not a rolly! :D:D:D:D :smt080:smt080:smt080:smt080:smt080

Was winding up Thorpie TBH. More joshing him that maybe he knew something rather than insinuating he did. Some paranoia is good though, but just a little bit. Keeps us alert but not necessarily like the rabid questioning of last week. We didn't have enough of it the last time big changes happened in the ownership, but we don't want too much now. I was very worried before the exclusivity, I remain marginally concerned during it, simply as it isn't all done yet, and lots of club admins get sorted out quick and easy, but lots also have lots of "last minute surprises" but I'm expectant that it will get done. HTH

The official 'how long can it take to say nothing' thread

Meanwhile I recall once upon a time being in Blighty when it hit 100F, now that was hot. In the past few days we've been kitting out a warehouse. It doesn't have a/c as it is just for "storage" which down here means nobody actually is ever supposed to load/unload from it or put up some DIY racking. It was 49C yesterday. It will be 49C today. It was actually 52C yesterday but if it officially goes over 49 then all employees have to be sent home so remarkably it is never officially as hot as it is. Now, 49C is interesting, because after about 20 minutes outside in that, your brain turns into a Poopey fan's brain (ie a pile of gooey melted mush) and amazingly you can think of absolutely nothing clearly. At which point you don't notice an effing bee has settled on your arm, so you don't flap it away and the fooker just stings you. I will forever blame "you know who" for bringing the Bee story to the public domain once again, obviously the global bee internet is rife with the story and they are out on a mission of revenge against all forum members Bee warned, they are out to get you. -
Well, I suppose this whole saga has been going on SOOooooo long, they could well have made the original bids.... Meanwhile global climate change/warming continues apace. 49C here yesterday.
-
Hmm what a worrying choice of words.... and a worrying time at the weekend to be up and around on here! IF the deal gets concluded?? Why? I thought the deal HAD been concluded Cue paranoia

And as if not being worth as much as some French Lingerie, it now seems that we are worth less than an adopted child. All power to Madge for supporting them, but it makes you wonder why we are less interesting, after all we had a bunch of kids running around the place last year, she could have adopted one of them easily enough http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/celebritynews/madonna/5522159/Madonna-donated-12-million-to-Malawi.html
