  1. Oh good grief............. Yes, it is totally doomed. It is a total mess beset by infighting. They were forced to act before they were ready by that nasty piece of work Fry. Their money man had no idea of the burn rate that the club faced this year. They don't even have a money man it's just a leveraged property speculation deal now All of the above are doing the rounds in text messages and pm's and are all crap Meanwhile in the REAL world - no. Somebody somewhere has an agenda. Most on here think it is MJ, so no point even speculating who else it could be even if I did have suspicions
  2. :smt075:axe::smt071:gib:
  3. That's easy 1) The Tooth Fairy 2) Pinnacle's deposit 3) Somebody told a porkie and it was there all along Think 2 just shades it allegedly
  4. Think he has other problems! http://www.ameinfo.com/197571.html Hydra Properties meets with investors to resolve payment dispute Officials from Hydra Properties, including Chairman Suleiman Al Fahim, have met with representatives from the Hydra Investors Group (HIG), made up of over 300 investors in the company's Hydra Village development
  5. Meanwhile from earlier in the thread SFC FOREVER you are an ITK hero and I salute you. Thanks mate, got my Glasto ticket this afternoon. Couldn't get it on-line so had to hold for 20 minutes on an international call. Lots of beer owed next time I'm in the area! cheers! Meanwhile I love the way we have come to terms with being in L1. No longer Yacht watch, now it's Pizza Hut watch
  6. lol I think we should have a sweepstake on who will be the first poster to complain that our Chairman was in the Dressing Room before a game And then ban the dozy s*d
  7. Whoa... I read this thread, then went down and watched an episode of Red Dwarf Series 1, was wandering upstairs and had a WTF moment..... Tony is burning the midnight oil, lots of jokes about pizzas. The only other news was that MLT & Tony had meetings yesterday. One thing missing here - why no stories about the forensic accountants and lawyers? PLEASE tell me I am missing something here, surely Tony isn't doing all this alone is he? What have I missed?
  8. I wasn't sticking up for him I was speculating it could have been Lowe Better have a dig at Weston Super Saint for also pointing out the spelling meant it couldn't be him on another thread
  9. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/League+One/Southampton And we've already been moved on Newsnow HTH (Oh used to be a useful link when Newspapers wrote about us)
  10. Lol. The two "visitors" arrived safe and well last night and are chilling by the pool. Hope you get to have a beer with the Birthday boy for me at the weekend!
  11. Don't be silly, everyone knows who it was. He's still cross that the Train Picture got dumped and is having his own few minutes of fun
  12. The term "Beneficial Owner" must be shown to the FA & FL. Hidden owners - lol - Abu Dhabi Quasi-Government companies could buy the whole of the rest of the PL and not get made public just so Man City win everything for "His Excellency"!
  13. Worringly the poster in the echo is not Jackson - apart from the fact it seems to be spelt correctly, I just asked him. It may be a Skate - but somebody, somewhere is circulating these malicious but worrying comments. They are popping up in unexpected places and are totally at odds with our opinions and feelings on here and with what NSS & Farmer are telling us. It all seems a bit strange as I see no reason why this should be happening and who has anything to gain.
  14. We've been bought by one of the worst motor cars to ever appear on the British Roads? Ain't google brilliant
  15. I agree with you totally on the problem we will face and the reasons for the need for someone with experience. Whether the two names are feasible is another matter though. The club had kept much of the PL behind the scenes infrastructure on the playing side. Costs for chef's at Darwin Lodge, through to cleaners at Staplewood. A huge amount of work needs to be done to ensure that we keep the critical "machinery" that creates the young players, whilst making sure that we cut our cloth expense wise to the income we will receive in L1. That surgery has to be done by a Football man, not an Accountant, the back office football costs need to be pruned so they can regrow as we hopefully move back up the leagues, they cannot simply be amputated. THAT needs somebody who has been at a bigger operation as well as at the smaller clubs, that experience is going to be critical to our future IF as we all wish the investment goes into the first team squad and not old sacred cows IMHO it is going to need to be a little more than just coaching and motivating players and getting them fit. As for who it should be, I'll just go with the "it's their club now" their choice line
  16. Molyneux is allegedly a trouble maker - typical Scally was the word. Likely to be out the door pdq being out of contract Fish CDAJFU
  17. Try Royal Brunei. Will be 2 stops but they have good deals, are decent airline but they ARE dry so you need to take your own booze which they happily serve you Also Emirates are doing a lot of offers at the moment, Etihad will take you to Melbourne and then get a Virgin Blue or similar back up, both them are top airlines if a little squished, stay away from Gulf Air
  18. Let's face it though. You guys on here see that Video and have a good laugh about it. Me. hell I've turned it into a lucrative sideline to my career. Giving Media Management training to small companies here, that clip has been worth a fortune to myself and a good mate here who does corporate type events and Life Coaching! You can tell people how and what they should do and how they should prepare for the media until you are blue in the face, but then show them that clip and bingo, they get it. Dear old MJ didn't see the value, he still says "but what's wrong with wanting Saints to play the same style of football as Arsenal..." bless
  19. OK so I think I've got this all worked out It will be a surprise and it is an Irish Horse Racing Arab Property Developing Musician Coal Miner based to the north East of Southampton and involves PM's Hmm Gordon Brown and a bunch of MP's all likely to be planning for a new career
  20. Weeeelllllll to be fair..... One could argue that the Execs/Board hadn't realised it....
  21. IMHO the owners and their management team will be looking at the mess the finances were in. They will then decide what areas they need to invest in and what they need to cut. A lot of surgery is going to be needed, there is no point pouring more cash into the black holes of the last 2 seasons The playing squad and coaching staff represents the largest cost base. They WILL have to reduce it from last season, so the space available for surgery there will determine the amount of money they wish to spend on salaries versus player investment. Decisions will be a mix of restructuring for L1, cost saving and investment. So I expect the big decisions will take a few days yet. But I really do not think for one moment that Wotte will be anywhere near the team in 3 weeks time, just cannot see how his performances justified it nor how someone like MLT would expect to work with someone he did not know. Matt will have more than enough contacts I am sure
  22. All sold out on that link but thanks!
  23. I do hope everything is going well with their takeover. Good luck chaps
  24. Great comment about him and footballers in general http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/sandymacaskill/blog/2009/06/02/if_gareth_barry_does_move_to_manchester_city_it_will_be_an_embarrassment_not_only_for_him_but_for_aston_villa
  25. I did mention why quite openly a couple of times. OK, so IMHO, Leon stepped up to bail us out when we needed to pay the wages before the end of the playing season. That we know as a prublished fact As we all believe that Leon is a successful businessman, we can make an assumption that the conversation could have gone something like this.. I can help out by giving you a loan of last resort. I understand it is a risk, but as long as the club is rescued from administration then I would like to have my money back please. How can we do that? So my guess would be that he became some form of a secured creditor. Perhaps that security was against the income from the Legends match, perhaps from some form of special guarantee or perhaps some form of a charge over the sale of a player. However it could as easily be Fry kept the right to sell some players to raise the amount of money paid or it could be that Pinnacle guys have a very good plan already for how they see the squad next year. Just trying to extrapolate the possibilities
