Correct, I flat out confirmed that I was not a member of the MJ consortium, had not signed any contracts. I also clearly said that I was helping out. I also at no time spun anything, during the period leading up to exclusivity I pointed out in my posts what was happening from a process point of view. Some people asked specific questions and where they did not involve any possible damage to any bids I answered them. What I did say was that it was NOT MJ. Any idiot can see the history and understand that MJ had no money of his own. What I repeatedly pointed out was that the group was made up of a number of people. Tony Lynams's bid is also made up of a number of people. His money men have also remained in the background. The opinion held on here is valid as it is what the evidence supports. No issue with that either. Some chose to assume that MJ was in fact dreaming and living in a Walter Mitty land. I merely pointed out that their opnion may be valid but that it may also be incorrect. I also offered to sit down with anyone who wanted to ask specific questions, in exactly the same way the guys did after the forum match. There is a difference between expressing informal opinions in a pub versus putting them onto the Internet. Two weeks ago nobody else was at the table, Pinnacle then managed to get back into it, I congratulated them and was the first poster to point out the fantastic amount of stress and strain they must have been under in getting to that point of exclusivity. Almost everyone else just moans why is it taking so long.

Whoopee - I'm off to the Sandy Beach Hotel for the weekend with my daughter, her boyfriend and some mates. Nice little bungalows on the beach with a BBQ area and great snorkelling, it is very popular with Ex Pats. It is on the East Coast and we hear that the girls are really hip and we really dig those styles they wear

Alan I'm waiting for the deal to be completed and to renewing my on-line commentary access. I'm extremely relieved that it is all over, and have stated that, and I remain convinced that Lynam will have this all completed by Fruday week within his timelines. My post earlier is simply that like others I am confused as to where this stupid story comes from. Obviously everybody has traced it's source to MJ, so there was simply no need to try and speculate. I did put the word IF in my post! I bow to the collective masses. As it is decided this was obviously MJ then as a fan I should no longer need to be worried about where or who seems to have an axe to grind. Just simply ask one question. If it ISN'T MJ then who the hell was it? Wasn't a defence of him. I think it is a pretty damned important question and, to be perfectly honest I would think that Tony would like to know as well!

There is a rush to rubbish this on here, but take a few seconds more. Personally I believe it is untrue, however as I mentioned before this rumour appears to have originated in the City, NOT locally. I know nobody cares or believes it but this has not come from MJ. If you don't believe that then you may as well stop reading this now. The PROBLEM is however that it has come from SOMEWHERE. And, IF you take it that it is NOT MJ, then WHO ON EARTH would have something to gain by putting this story out there? If (as I think is the case) everything is fine, then it will not have any effect on Tony & his team and it won't have any effect on Fry & his team. So where is it aimed at? unsettling the fans? unsettling the money man? Why the hell does something always seem to pop up? - "Dark Forces" again And to what purpose? There were a few complexities in it of course, like being able to afford the right quality suit as far as I was concerned, but the principle was sound. Personally being a fan, I thought it sucked. Would have got rid of Rupe's but it still sucked especially when you consider interest would have been about 4mil a year and we were already losing that much money

And yet it was going on all the time in the PL. Football is wrong, the structure is wrong even if we as fans love most of what our own team try and provide each week. Because you could never be "revolutionary" (apart from rosy cheeks) and try and do it a different way, unless somebody BIG goes pop, it will never change.
