  1. Well, we couldn't let a whole page slip by without some due reverence towards the actual theme of the thread.
  2. Oi! Don't drag me back into the Lowe argument by taking that out of context  But thanks for ruining what was looking like being an Unworring day
  3. Think it is more important that Pinnacle keep talking and that the MJ bid stays on the table at this point in time. There is a long way between the steps in announcing/making/siging/completing the bid process. We need to keep a safety net until the cheque is in the bank and cleared.
  4. Change the catering and maybe we'll finally get a good Boxty to Boxty midfielder
  5. Oh yea of little faith :-)
  6. First post is not a statement of facts, it is the statement of a sound rumour. Big difference:-) There are then a few odd co-incidences, such as thegaffer's thread. So no this is a good old fashioned - why hasn't the Echo printed something morning.
  7. Yes he said that but also his "mystery overseas bidders" have been mentioned for what seems like weeks. Along with "48 hours" of course.
  8. It hasn't come completely from nowhere, Fry has been saying something along these lines for several weeks. Neither C8 or others would mention it if it was from the usual sources However, even IF there has been a deposit made available, there will be a large amount of contractual issues to resolve and nothing will happen quickly, although Fry would in all likelihood make some statement today. It is still a dangerous two days for SFC Ltd, don't celebrate yet
  9. Isn't Granty in Vegas putting the SaintsAid funds on Red in order to get enough to buy the club? (I mean that in a humourous way not in a "He's an MP" sort of way)
  10. Right, where's MB when we need him, should be all over the Echo by now Isn't it?
  11. Lol good to see the OS is up to speed with all the big news.... Here we are, no matches going on and yet the latest posting tells us about..... New timings for the Ticket Office http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11777
  12. lol Never mind the quality or reality of the content, worry only about the presentation Damn that would mean a lot of "elder statespersons" with dodgy keyboards or the after effects of a shandy or two being banished!
  13. oh Morph, stop it. If your a real fan then you will not hope it has only legs, you'll hope it has ZILLIONS and a plan for Champions League Football and a Stadium enlargement for the 2015 World Cup, but MOST importantly of all, we will hope that it has absolutely p*ss poor catering and NO bl**dy revolutions :-) Then you & I can relax, and go - thank God for that. If not then we all have to try and keep the lifeboats ready to be manned, just in case, we don't need hope or words we need saving by someone
  14. Correct, BUT, the Exclusivity period includes a time for Due Dilligence when it IS possible that nasty things can be found that would make the spending of ONLY 500k less of a disaster than spending (the alleged) 15 million. In this situation, exclusivity period means only that the bidder has a set time to complete the purchase and that the Administrator cannot ACCEPT another deal and sell to someone else. HOWEVER, the administrator would want to make sure that any other interested parties do not go away completely, as an insurance in the event of a probem arising. A lot will depend on the actual TERMS of the contract for exclusivity, which, according to the Echo was the problem that hit Pinnacle
  15. lol my old employers head office used to be in Ireland. So I called them that to their face on that day in April in Dublin and got out alive... And NO I haven't got a clue, that WASN'T a fookin hint, all I got was a txt and a call
  16. Hmm Irish, music links? Ronan Keating fits - he had a hit with our song - TSW is a Rollercoaster
  17. In Fry's own mind, in his own mind my fiend (see what I did there?!) The 500k non refundable deposit without knowing all the details BUT what it also means is that MJ may not be the only hope the club has of avoiding being carved up. You have ANY idea how worrying THAT was? Not from a personality perspective like much of the forum, but the sheer horror of worrying what would happen if the money men found something they didn't like and pulled out. FF for the Paddy's I say. We now have 3 hopes No Hope, Bob Hope and now they are joined by Envelope
  18. I threw all my old short sleeved work shirts out on Saturday, I've never worn them since those days. Suppose they'll be back in fashion then. oh Sod This i cant be arrsed to spoll corictly jusst 4 sum ciber fashists
  19. Morph, seriously, while I was away I heard although second hand from a mate back home who definitely isn't tied in at all with MJ who said almost word for word what Channon8 posted. Now, either he is the same person as my mate would have heard it form (very unlikely) or it has some legs. There was one interesting point though from the same route that the contractual side etc is a nightmare, so keep the champers on ice. ..."Expect something tomorrow was the basis but because it is fraught with danger maybe we need everyone to keep working"
  20. Were they drinking Jamesons?
  21. A possible real bidder has appeared to do what Fry wanted, and we fight over spelling mistakes Has to be an all time classic moment
  22. lol No, I backed the only horse (at the time), but have oft stated it worried me and I hoped there would be a safety net. Let us hope this is it and it's somebody left in Ireland who hasn't gone bust in their property collapse!
  23. Stop it! Panic took hold then phew, I read the date
  24. yes, but I would guess the OP has the direct line and mine came from my mate the taxi driver for a change my txt was a while ago but phone was on silent, my mate said almost word for word the OP. Either it's real or it's a play by Fry, sounds more the former
  25. The cavalry are coming, won't please some, but phew
