As per my other thread on this issue, I received my cup tickets today and compared them with my old season ticket which I have now found. Low and behold the tickets are two rows higher in block 2 than where we used to sit and I'm pretty sure the blokes who used to sit there were season ticket holders and will also be ****ed when they can't have their original seats. As I said before, this is a complete sham.

I've just phoned the ticket office to book my two old seats in the Itchen North for the cup game and the very cute young lady on the phone asked me where they used to be. I struggled to remember the exact seat numbers and she admitted that they had no record so they were asking people to name their old seat positions. As it happened, I remembered near enough the right seats, but even if I hadn't actually been a season ticket holder there last year, as long as I was a season ticket holder now then I could of booked two tickets per season ticket in the Itchen North today, avoiding the queue's.http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/images/icons/icon12.gif

Thing about this take over is, you've got to secure your foundations before anything concrete can happen.

I totally agree. I am IMHO 100% sure that that is the plan come february, much in the Ken Bates mould. He must be stopped or we will be stuck with him forever.

I promised not to post for two reasons. One, the ****e I received on here by people who had nothing better to do than pick wholes in my punctuation, which begs the question, why should I enlighten some complete strangers who only seem to revel in nit picking while by doing so would potentially loose an old friend. Two, I gave them until my wife gave birth, (see did on wed morning) so now I'm released from my promise, but the more I think about it I just don't really think I've got much to gain blabbing on an internet site something that was told to me in confidence. I must say that without at all trying to tease that it would make bloody amusing reading to many...It'll keep!

diggers has retired from sharing his knowledge since he got blasted by the grammar police. I also promised I'd refrain from posting on the subject. If however it becomes clear that the takeover is never going to happen I think it would then release me from my pledge and I would have carte blanche to "spill the beans".

I said that I was out of this debate but Mr Exit I have got to reply to your comments. If you read my couple of posts today you will read that firstly, I only explained my connection to John after another poster (miserableoldgit) mentioned it. In my post I suggested nothing that could be conceived as a secret, simply that John and is Colleagues**(Dubai Saint) were working hard behind the scenes. John and I have known each other for a very long time and he knows me well enough to know that I would never give away anything that was not appropriate (not that I know anything anyway). Please do not make mischief between friends, there's no need. BTW, well done for talking to John for an hour, most are lucky if they can get away after two!

I'm really not very good at this posting stuff am I? Trouble is I post what I think is a valid reply to a genuine point and some smart arse takes the **** out of a typo and totally ignores the point made. If I had more time to read through my posts instead of rushing them between replying to work emails I might earn more respect from mr Dubai and his cronies. I do know John, I was his best man and am the god father to one of his boy's. we don't speak all the time but what I will say is that he and his colleges have been working tirelessly to bring about change. I"m surprised nothing has come out lately, but I do know that recently I purchased a small piece of land next to my house, and that took five months and loads of stress, anyone who thinks you can just buy a controlling interest in a complicated business like a football club, (and who knows what else at the same time?) in a hurry have probably never been in a position like that themselves so shouldn't really comment. There, I didn't actually give anything away did I?

Its now or never, some news today/tomorrow or its not going to happen, I'm an optimist. IMHO.

Depends, I didn't mention a price did I? All I was trying to say was that IMHO Rupert Lowe is not really interested in then long term future of Saints, more that he needs to be there at the moment. And thanks for the spelling correction. One thing that amazes me about this site is the number of people who love scoring cheap points over another because they spell a word wrong. You knew what I meant, what's the point???

IMHO Rupert has only ever been interested in the club as a way of lining his own pockets in one way or another. Therefore, following my theory logically he must have come back for his own financial reasoning. I personally believe that he won't be in the thrown for much longer, and I also believe that his return was a calculated short term bridge to create a platform where anyone looking to take over could do so with the confidence that they would not be inheriting a "bag of snakes". One things for sure, Mr Lowe is a realist - and that in my opinion makes him a proper businessman, if not a proper Saints fan. All again, IMHO.

No, a mate and I walked passed just after it happened and while they were laid sparked out in blood. The guy who was giving them first aid told us that the taffs from the pub opposite had hit them round the back of the head with a scaffold pole. The state they were in seemed to re-enforce the remark.

Just got back. After the game I was walking back to the city center with a mate when we came across a small crowd gathered around two guy's laying on the floor. When we got closer we discovered that they were saints fans and that they were both out cold laying in pools of blood. They were both being first aided by someone who looked like he knew what he was doing. Apparently some Cardiff Tw*@ts ran across the road from the pub they were in and hit these poor bastards with a scaffold pole. They looked in a seriously bad way. The OB were just arriving but it was really hairy there so we decided to get out while the going was good. I felt sick to the pit of my stomach. I am not an angel myself fisty cuffs and so on but bloody scaffold poles? thats attempted murder if you ask me. Does anyone on here know the guys and if so how are they? I would offer any help I could in evidence etc but only really got there just after it all happened. I'd seriously like to see those Cun** stoned to death for such a cowardly attack. No place in society for attacks like that let alone in the name of football.
