  1. I'm confused? Why do you post under two usernames in the same thread Patred44/Saint-Armstrong?
  2. Gecko's done the business! You'll be able to photograph this from space!
  3. I know we're getting used to having big money somewhere behind us but quickly scanning this thread I can kind of see why other clubs fans are starting to despise us. Its our first year after promotion, surely our first target has got to be consolidation and make damn sure we don't get into a relegation fight, then onwards and upwards but we don't have any god given right to expect to **** all over this league.
  4. I recon you need to change your user name to Saint with a Halo, why does everyone on here take everything so god damn literally!http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/images/smilies/uhoh.gif
  5. Whatever the kit is i"m sure it will be cool, I'm going for the Glasgow Rangers away from this season as my ten pennyworth. My big dilemma is what to do about the tat I've always promised myself. I'm adorning my carcass with all the great loves of my life, I've got all four kids, the misses, (in code) and now i'm turning my attention to my other loves and Saints have got to be top. So, is the crest staying with the "25"? Or reverting back to the old one? or is there an all new design in the offing? Any advice (other than football tattoo's are naff etc.) really appreciated.
  6. Re the current (excluding 10-11) badge, I was told by a company called graphic workshop in town that they were asked by Lowe to "tweak it" about eight years ago by changing the design of the ball, tree and scaff, in return their remuneration was three season tickets for ten years.
  7. Ummm, those were the days! You shouldn't complain, they let you go when we got out, I got thrown in a bloody cell with four of them! Strange thing was, we had a bit of a chuckle about the whole thing, they said they didn't blaim us when I explained we'd been on red alert cos the word was that skates were meant to be in the east benches with them! £30 fine from memory.
  8. About 8 years ago I spent a couple of years in Spain, all that time I kept two season tickets for my sister on the proviso that I called her so I could listen to the game and get her take/commentary on the proceedings!
  9. If it infringes human rights to pen away fans in the ground for a few minutes after a game, why doesn't the same policy exist when the Bill cordon away fans into an "escort" and march them up to the ground like sheep, even if they protest and wish to walk on their own?
  10. I'm not going to open up a can of worms again. I'm 47, had a season ticket for twenty five years, been to my fair share of aways over the years, stood under the old east and west stands, and until recently loved the buzz in the Itchen North. This year I have found it hard to feel the same camaraderie with other Saints fans, the posts on here certainly don't motivate me. I feel like a visitor at St Marys rather than feeling at home. If I'm honest I struggle to identify the players on the pitch whereas in the old days I would recognise them in an instance. This has made me take time out and recently I have decided to attend a few Glasgow Rangers games, - what a difference, the fans are properly passionate, they start singing 30 minutes before the game and don't stop throughout, contrary to what many might assume, the majority are just there for a cracking day out and not intent on fighting, all in all, (and i never thought i'd say this) i've lost my Saints mojo, through a combination of crap PR from the club and my personal opinion that too many Saints fans are growing a massive chip on their shoulders.
  11. I don't post on any Saints message boards anymore, after an infamous incident I became involved with, (the repercussions of which persuaded me not not to renew my season ticket or indeed go to a Saints game again) but, my opinion of this site is; 1. More than 50% of the posters seem too pre-occupied with bragging about being what is now a Saintsweb copyrighted "ITK" and the almost all the others seem equally pre-occupied with shouting down the alleged ITK'ers. 2. Too many posters take a weird pleasure in "unpicking" what they deem "incorrect grammar". My teenage daughter's majorly dyslexic, and this doesn't stop her conversing with her mates on Facebook all night (every bloody night) without them all feeling the need to castigate her for daring to type the way she see's words rather than the way the Queens English intended. - I'm sure this puts off many would be occasional posters. 3. Increasingly so recently, but always to some extent, every new thread seems to be taken as a new opportunity for a mass *****ing, why can't all posters simply be reasonable to each other, hold your own opinion of course, but at least show some some form of basic respect for others who have a different opinion to yours. I really believe that most posters on here would never use the same tones and language if they were speaking face to face, so, while sometimes we all get hot under the collar, theres a limit which IMHO gets crossed way too regularly on here. 4. Why do so many threads have to centre around the running of the club, rather than the football that goes on on the pitch? It used to entertain me, watching so many internet forum members seriously talking as if they had the ear of the chief exec or making statements about emailing the club about this or that, again, IMHO, his is a football supporters forum which really should be about SUPPORTING our club, not a forum about how to run it. 5. Its football! - So far this year, my sisters died suddenly, my secretary (20 yrs old) was in intensive care and will never fully recover from a serious illness and my sons mental health problems have taken a bad turn for the worse. All these things are worth loosing sleep over and are life changing, however much any of us love our football team at the end of the day thats all it is, a football team that we get varying degrees of pleasure (or pain) from supporting. So why not chill out and enjoy each day we have, be extra happy when we win, but get over it if we loose!
  12. Not looking for sympathy but my sister (also 62) passed away suddenly on Tuesday so I now have three tickets for block 38 if anyone wants them at £20 each? I was going with my nephew who is too gutted to sit through any more heart renting stuff. We are going to the pub and both wearing our liebherr no1 shirts in his honour. Pm me please if interested.
  13. Possibly the most important man in Southampton football clubs history. He must fever be forgotten, he saved us from the pits of despair. R.I.P Marcus. - I'd rename the stadium "the Leibheer Stadium" a lasting tribute to our savior.
  14. While we appreciate that a tenner isn't cheap, we're planning on making Silverspoons THE place for pre match drinking, singing and generally having the craic! if you want a guaranteed drink right up to the 1.30 kick off ( Silverspoons is only 50 meters from Wembley) then go to http://www.coyr.co.uk and buy your door ticket on line. Beer in there is at least a quid if not more per pint cheaper than the concourses.
  15. We're just tying up a deal with him to have exclusive sales rights inside Silverspoons, so if you've got a ticket for Siverspoons then you can buy one while you're there, no point carrying stuff on trains or coaches unnecessarily! If you've not got a ticket for Silverspoons yet, visit http://www.coyr.co.uk
  16. As an update; Tickets are selling well for Silverspoons. MC booked and ready to create a real pre match part atmosphere. visit http://www.coyr.co.uk to buy your ticket. Saints Rock Wembley at Silverspoons, before and after the game.
  17. Yes, you are right of course, I'm really really sorry, you are a very clever person, Please would you consider buying a ticket for the best venue pre match sir?? (while we still have some to sell)
  18. "Much better to just get some cans and dring along Wembley Way and around the ground." - LOL pikey, takes all sorts, All I can say is look on you tube and search silverspoons wembley and it might change your mind about the place. Its famous amongst most of the regular wembley finalists as the best atmosphere in town.
  19. The place is huge, theres security staff, bar staff, and other operating costs. sure we're looking to make a profit, but theres also a lot of risk. Its called entrepreneurism! http://www.coyr.co.uk
  20. If there's any availability left, its a gamble but the price on the door will be the same. The way tickets are going it is looking unlikely there will be any tickets left but I cannot say for sure. http://www.coyr.co.uk
  21. We're not "ripping anyone off"!! Tickets for Silverspoons are a tenner, thats because its only 50 Meters from Wembley, has 5 bars, loads of bar staff, disco, holds over 2000 and is always the best pre match atmosphere before a cup final. Alaso, the beer is £1.50 cheeper than inside Wembley! http://www.coyr.co.uk, tickets are now on sale and going really quickly.
  22. Saints Rock Wembley, Silverspoons tickets now on sale, advance purchase highly recommended. - see http://www.coyr.co.uk for ticket details and on-line purchase.
  23. Instead of the old "you'll never plat here again" Remove "here" and then its just; Again, You'll never play agin, You'l never play again, You'll never play again!!
  24. Recently I have been involved (in my spare time) with a new venture to create a range of quality football clothing, the kind of stuff you'd where down the drinker on non-football nights. Obviously we've started with Saints, and as you might notice, that other site asked us to come up with a couple of designs for them, but they're only a couple of the range we will be launching over the next couple of weeks. The reason for this post is for some genuine market research, what footie clobber would you wear out, if anything? http://www.coyr.com will be up and running in a few days, please take a look, any genuine feedback would be appreciated. http://www.wix.com/mrjolly/coyr
  25. Ours arrived today as well, Thank Flux
