  1. I'd go for a top 17 finish personally.
  2. Surely if Lotus were going to sponsor a premier league club it would have to be Norwich?
  3. I enjoyed the last two trips top Blackpool, the constant singing while 3-0 down through the second half of the last game made me realise our travelling support can be excellent when we're in the mood.
  4. Bloody hell, - I remember that, I was one of those lighting bonfires! and there was loads of Chelsea there if my mind serves me too. One of the Warrens better performances ;-)
  5. If Nigel's not been sacked yet maybe we should pray that he'll accept NC's humble apologies. And grace us with a. Miraculous come back :-) alarmclock sounds and ddepression returns!
  6. So, if we were to loose, it would be 1 point from 9 for super MP. Does anyone think we'd of improved on that total if we'd not of changed manager? Hypothetical i know but as we're talking about the Wigan result...
  7. I don't like the kit but if Mr Cortese says we've got to have it then there's no point in protesting or having a campaign, it might damage our chances of staying in this league...move on
  8. I wouldn't fancy standing behind Puncheon after Monday nights problem...
  9. This is one of the most embarrassing threads I've ever seen on this forum. I know football fans are notoriously fickle but this takes it to new levels. Get a grip you're showing yourselves up. I hope no other teams fans get hold of this thread.
  10. Why is it that the people on the forum who are keen to protest write of their own feelings and those who do not want to protest spend their time telling everyone else how they should be acting. Everyone to their own. If your unhappy you've got just as much right to show it as those who want to move on. - Unless of course some of us are superior and always know best ;-)
  11. Never true a chairman who puts his own photograph all over the front page of a match day programme!! Egotistical and arrogant IMHO.
  12. If the Chelsea fans aren't getting anywhere, why do all the commentators agree that Benitez doesn't have a chance of getting the post full time? "The fans wouldn't stand for it"..Fans can influence a clubs decisions, shame its too late to save Nigel. Doesn't mean that we should all shut up and put up. What major change will Cortese make next? Do we accept what ever, its there's to do with as they see fit apparently. So, its not OUR club at all, no more so than any other club in the league.
  13. "whats that, the postman's ****ged my wife?" Oh well, its done now, i forgive you darling..lets just pretend it didn't happen. I am ashamed of the way the football club i've supported and loved for 45 years has conducted its self this week. I don't want to just shrug my shoulders and be a good boy, paying my £600+ every year. I will go Monday, mostly because I'm angry, but I will not give them anymore of my money while that excuse for a man is in charge. Thats my opinion, you're welcome to yours.
  14. The Italian has yet to witness how ****ed off Saints fans can be with their chairman, I think Monday will be very emotional, and how can that be good for the team who have just won an amazing point at Chelsea?
  15. He Knows his way round a curry, that shows he's got skills..
  16. We took the **** out of Chelsea, me thinks a round of applause is the least NA deserves on Monday Night! F***ing disgrace!
  17. IF we did go down, which of the two would have the best chance of getting us straight back up? For me it has to be NA. So there you go, probably as much chance of keeping us up as RDM & a better chance of re promotion should the worst happe .
  18. Here's my Marion Anecdote; Back in 2001 i was living in Spain after flogging a company I used to run. in those days I was relatively flush so I decided it would be a good idea to buy a holiday home back in the Southampton area to stay when we visited the family. The estate agent showed my sister a house in Valley Park Chandlers Ford that she thought would be ideal for us. It turned out to be the Pahars family home. On my next visit back I spoke to the agent and said that I'd like a second viewing, now, even though i lived in Spain i had kept my season ticket and so I was well aware that the day i could make the second viewing was the day after Saints played Blackburn away midweek. As a thoughtful fan I suggested a late morning viewing to let the guy lay in a bit. To cut an already long story short, we liked the house and said to Mrs Pahars that subject to seeing the bedroom I'd be keen on placing an offer. "oh my husbands in bed" she said. "well I've got a plane to catch" says I. "I'll go and ask him if he'll get up so you can see the room" says a very attractive Latvian Mrs Pahars, after an awkward 5 mins at the bottom of the stairs she came down and said in her Russian accent, "sorry, my husband won't get up". So I never did see the bedroom and he lost himself a buyer. I always admired his football but could never get over the arrogance of someone who thought themselves too important to get out of bed at midday when someone had flown a couple of thousand miles to see his bedroom. Its takes all sorts I suppose..

    Di Matteo

Loose on Sat and RDM will be manager by Tuesday - unfortunately :-(
  20. I know Steve luckett, I can confirm he's a complete and utter tosspot. I even asked him if I could book a few coaches for the JPT but he said he only did skate games. I guarantee if he's involved Saints travel will be a more miserable experience this season
  21. My concern over the whole new kit saga should in my opinion open a wider debate, that is; Do Southampton FC (or most other clubs for that matter) treat us the paying public as customers. I know for sure that I strive every working hour to satisfy my (often unreasonably difficult to please) customers, and I live with the concern that if i don't involve them and take their views into consideration that they may well walk and choose to buy somewhere else. There is obviously a huge difference with a football club because, in my opinion, they play on our "love" for our club and assume that we will still be there and are hardly likely to stop "buying" from them, i.e. attending matches, when they (the board) make a decision without taking our (the customers) views into consideration. I know that Marcus saved the club etc but I'm sure that he wouldn't of done if he and his "banker" hadn't considered it a decent investment, so really I do find myself, in the cold light of day, questioning why I do just follow lemming like, whatever they do and always go back regardless. I think the people who run football clubs should take a moment to evaluate how many of these relatively minor snubs us customers will take before one day some of us decide that spending money on a football club is just like spending money at a cinema, hotel or other leisure pursuit and offer them a wake up call by doing what we would do to any other supplier.
  22. I'm frantically trying to dig out the swiss flag I took to the last home game last season. If anyone should be proud its St. Markus RIP. Walking in a Liebherr wonderland!
  23. My two most hated grounds last time, Villa and Everton, (not tempting fate but) looking forward to Arsenal, new ground for me, Liverpool, big club but always a chance of an upset, and Fulham, mum always supported them and was born in duckems wharf, a stones through from the cottage.
  24. The Manchester = cheers, thats the one! see you there
  25. What was the name of he pub at the end of the front a lot of us used last time we were there, in my drunken state i think it was at the end of the seafront about 5 mined from the ground? ****ing down if my memory serves me?
