Why don't we just go out and try our best to win every game, be it cup or league? Every pub team I've ever played for put 100% into each match! the issue with our FA cup exit was that in many fans opinion, Southampton FC didn't collectively dedicate 100% to winning that match! I personally find that disrespectful on many levels.

Don't know how old you are but around this group I'd also add Tim Flowers, if only for that performance and post match dash at Old Trafford!

I swear he was second best player in last weeks poll? Didn't he make some awesome saves in the first half versus Fulham? Wasn't last weeks consensus that he was the reason that we were able to come out even after the first half and allow us to put on a spectacular show in the second half? - wonder who'll be in for a SaintsWeb'ing next week!

I think we should remember that there's no loyalty or honor in football, outside the odd one offs like Add's and Matty. Pottachino himself was lined up to take over from Adkins and was okay about being paraded to the press within hours of Nigel being shown the door, why anyone here has any expectations of Pottachino doing anything other than what's best for his career and pocket should remember they're probably using those Saints tinted goggles again. I recon he'll unfortunately be off before the start of next season

That Thai lady's made loads out of saints this season, she takes in all the shirts so that they're tight fitting on the sleeves so that they can't be pulled. All the players have warmed to her now they all take all their clobber to her to alter!

Met Gary a few times and always seems a really decent lad, bet he's not got his FA badges yet so thats going to be an issue.

Baring in mind that dozens of Saints fans were locked up for shaking a fence or at worst lobbing a wheel hub, can't see why Hants Old Bill rant looking for some glory, given the number of witnesses to an easy GBH arrest, he'd be facing 18 months, Not sure Jose would even have to want to press charges given the public statements made.

I couldn't find a single stream for the Burnley game, I'm so spoilt now I've finally got my Apple TV and NBCS, anyone know of a stream for the Yeovil match? (My FiL is over from the UK and I've been brag gin to him about never missing a game then the fist time he's here I can't find a way to see the game, any help?

I always found it really odd that a man who can have so much attention to detail with things like sweeping the players hotels for bed bugs wouldn't of thought about showing a proof of the flag to the Liebherr family first to seek their approval before allowing the fans money to be totally wasted. If they don't like it then they could of said so, given the chance, and we could of come up with a more appropriate design which should of been used before every match, - I think that was the original idea?

From what I hear Milan are in the financial dodo's. Their owner walks a very narrow path between mega wealth and bankruptcy and as Steve Grant says they've had to sell all their best players, they won't qualify for champions league this year. For me the biggest reason he won't go there is because if he did, he have less freedom and more pressure. The Italian press would literally camp out outside his house and scrutanise and dissect his every word. No, I think he likes the Southampton project and still sees it as work in progress.

I don't get what the hurry is? If he's worth £25~£30m now, assuming he doesn't do a career threatening injury, he'll only be worth at least as much if not more next year, it's a hold recommend from me

I still believe that a players either fit or unfit. If they're unfit, they shouldn't be on the bench, if they're on the bench, they should be as fit as those on the pitch and as NA used to refer to it, be able to make an impact. How can you have a less than 100% fit professional footballer on the bench in the premier league? So, either Fonte is fit but out of favor for some unknown reason or SFC are resorting to the kind iof bench selection my Sunday morning seniors team have to adopt. I think there's more than meets the eye IMPO.
