I think "watch this space" is appropriate, they made mistakes, but please don't underestimate their determination

I think it may be that if there is going to be good news its going to be before the end of the bank holiday, if there's nothing doing by then, IMHO its looking like a carve up of assets.

I am getting more convinced that there actually isn't an acceptable bid on My Fry's desk. If there was obviously he'd be recommending it without delay. I think the truth is that there are interested parties, they may have lodged indicative bids, but I'm now coming round to believe that unless someone pulls a rabbit out the hat and comes up with a party who is prepared to loose at least £4M per annum for the next 2-3 years we may well be the first club to be liquidated.

look him up on facebook, he's running a pancake cafe in Holland and will accept just about any friend request he gets!

I agree that any Saints is better than no Saints but for me, my decision would be to give up going to watch Saints (something I've done religiously for 35 years) if Lucifer ever wields power in any way at the SFC again.

Three nursing colleges full of clunge! plus a night or two on the pish with proper Saints fans who understand that Saints are for life not just the good times! - There, does that explain?

Now at least we've got some decent promotion seasons to look forward to. God one of my all time favorite games was Luton away in 77-78 promotion season (think that's right i"m getting too old!) I was a 15 year old up for everything. 10K Saints fans all over their ground, then Orient away where another 10K plus Saints turned up mid week, I nearly got crushed by the wall collapsing that night, happy memories alright, and there'll be more for the young'uns to enjoy.

I'm taking a real chance on my travel and accommodation arrangements for this one.. I've decided to get my 65 split screen VW out from her covers, give her a quick service (ooerr!) then its 60mph all the way and two nights with two pished up blokes in a camp site close as possible to the night life..It's got disaster all over it, and then there's the game!

But if we survive, and we draw Munure again, you'll be the first back !!! [-X

One afternoon in my office about a year ago I was bored and for some reason or other decided that it would be a laugh to go on the UK deed poll site and get myself a middle name, (as i didn't have one, lack of imagination from the old folks). So for the Forest game, I will be going as myself, Spongebob!!! My mates also up for being Patrick!

I'm stuck jet lagged in a hotel room in the states and I can't find a web site that will give me commentary of the game today. Can anyone please post a link because there's no way I'm going back to sleep now even if it is 5,40am or something stupid like that here. Any help appreciated. Give the lads an extra loud shout today. COYR's!!!! :prayer:

I think that the problem I and many of my season ticket holding friends have is that [if] we somehow do manage to achieve the latest (two)great escape(s), Where do we go from here? Next season looks like the same old again. - Lowe in is track suit interfering where he shouldn't, mixed results, pre season anticipation followed by the reality that our debts will prohibit the club from the level of investment in playing staff it needs to gain promotion, followed by more unrest, protests, threats of admin. IMHO we (SFC) sort this mess out once and for all and accept that the Phoenix can only rise from ashes caused from a god all mighty fire.. or we could do as you say NC. Trouble is, I don't forget, and when I go through all the ****-ups that can be directly attributed at Lowe over his tenure, I just can't place my trust in him. I've missed a lot of this site over the last couple of weeks, so sorry if its been asked before but how long have you had a season ticket NC?

Sorry, either I'm Pished or this is the most surreal thread I've read on here for age's - and thats saying something! Mind you, now you cast your mind back, I think I kopped off with a Doris who worked at Nat west once and took her to the Rank to see the mighty Shakatak! Back of the net! ;-)

it was the same press release that told "us" members what "we" apparently feel about the best way forwards. strange, when I spoke to Nick recently I don't remember agreeing with him, in actual fact he didn't mention this new pack with the Devil at all.

My own personal opinion, for what ever its worth is that; Like a lot of other Saints fans I am totally gutted about the current state of our club. while you can be argue all day long about details, I firmly believe that Lowe and to a lesser degree Wilde are responsible for the declining fortunes of our club, and I believe we need a clean break from them both if Southampton Football Club is to one day return to its previously respected position. With no likely chance of a wealth savior riding in on a white horse with enough cash to satisfy the demands of Lowe and Wilde this leaves us the supporters with decisions to make for ourselves. They are IMHO, to carry on as if nothing was wrong behind the scenes, turning up as normal, cheering on the lads and taking whatever happens ultimately as matters beyond our control. Or, boycotting games, with the attitude of "I'm not giving any more of my hard earned to that man". Or Demonstrating in a law abiding, very liberal manor with the odd march and rally in front of closed curtains hoping that the majority of other "decent normal" fans will join the ground swell, or Create civil unrest inside and outside the ground, pitch invasions, road sit ins, pickets at Lowes house etc.. Or, you can do what I think I'm going to do which is to put my support into St Jason's STHU campaign whereby all prospective season ticket holders pledge not to renew until change has materialized. Its obviously a very personal; decision. I think one of the biggest problems is that we do not have a respected spokesperson, leader of a unified supporters movement, (i'm disregarding the Trust obviously as they are now no more than Lowes mouth piece and a place to jump the cue in the Alfred) One things for sure, its bound to get worse before things start getting better, I have never felt as angry about anything outside of my family/business in my life and I only wish we could all stop bickering about marches/walkouts/boycotts and start some unified campaigning to achieve the conclusion that the majority of us want. Finally, for those of you who will say, "ah yes but who is going to run the club when you force Lowe out" well, I think administration quickly, followed by the departure of the board, followed by new cash with a new board is possible and is the most likely way out of our problems. Demonstration for Swansea game- Time and place!!
diggers replied to scott_saints's topic in The Saints
I've only got 85 posts since Nov 06 because a) I've got a life and b) I don't feel it necessary to comment very much as too often for my liking serious posts get hijacked by ****s trying to make themselves look clever. Shall we talk about it during the march BUTootim? -
Demonstration for Swansea game- Time and place!!

Don't know if anyone else shares my conspiracy theories but the NO count on the survey seems to be creeping up disproportionately, I haven't come across any mates who have changed their minds recently about attending, so, is there a serious campaign from Lowe's PR buddies to falsely sway the figures with the hope that the undecided camp will not turn up. Mods, how many of the No's have less than 10 posts? -
Time for some good old fashioned name dropping

Going back about eight years I was living in Spain and the then wife and I decided to buy a reverse holiday home so as not to over stay the hospitality of the in laws. We located a suitable property in Valley Park and after my sister had provisionally checked it out for us arranged a viewing. The agent was a little coy about the owner but it eventually turned out to be Mr & Mrs Pahars. The viewing was arranged for the only day we had left on our trip home, but being a mad fan I was aware that we had an away game the previous night. (Blackburn I think?)Anyway, I suggested that the viewing should be as late in the day as our travel plans allowed, about 11am I remember, so as not to disturb them too much. When we got to the house, Mrs Pahars met us and showed us the ground floor. This is nice we thought, show us more. "I'm sorry" she says, "my husband is in bed and he won't get up" As I didn't want to check his bedroom out with him snoring away we declined. I explained that we really liked the house, that we had a plane to catch, and asked her to speak with her husband again. Up she went, back down she came again, "sorry" she said, (in a really horny Russian accent) he wont move. So off we went, without buying the house obviously! Lazy Bastard is what I always think when his name crops up. -
Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board
diggers replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
IMHO If we really want to bring matters to a head, the best and most effective way to do so is to organize a mass refusal to renew season tickets until the current regime give way. Didn't Luton do something similar a few years ago. Doing this on mass would bring Lowe (and possibly the business) to his knees. **** or bust - Literally! -
Dyer loan ended at weekend - reporting back for training "in New Year"
diggers replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I was at the Sheffield Utd Charlton game and Dyer was one of the best players on the pitch. Speaking to a couple of the Utd. players, they say he was also on fire for them against Wolves. -
I think that we're absolutely Royally fooked then!
