  1. Had a look, disregard it because it wasn't one of our players committing the foul.
  2. What's Djenepo done to annoy their players?
  3. Horrible defending by Jack Stephens for our goal.
  4. Was that the first time we touched the ball? 😂
  5. They are obviously better than us but we don't help ourselves by making terrible unforced errors with the ball.
  6. BT seem convinced Salisu is playing RB
  7. I like to spread my custom around and support small businesses but it's not a hard and fast rule. I'll buy a load of beer from Unity or Bitter Virtue, but then also stop on the way home from work and get some cans from Tesco even though I don't like them. There's a few independent online clothes shops I use but I'll also get the odd thing from a larger store although I totally avoid Sports Direct because Ashley is a massive cock and Primark because it's grim company with shitty clothes. I spend too much money on music and this is one area I make sure I buy from independent shops, Vinilo in town, or Pie & Vinyl in Southsea and Resident in Brighton. Or I'll use bandcamp. I don't have a Spotify account because they are a horrible company who screw over the artists. I'd never buy anything from a company that has ever sponsored the skates. One of the main problems with buying ethically is that it's hard to know just who owns what. Loads of big companies swallow up smaller ones without people really knowing.

    Coronavirus

The doctor who writes in Private Eye has been saying this pretty much since the start of the virus. Eat healthily, take vitamin D supplements, exercise. Doing all these will help if you do catch Covid. He also said there have been 4000 variants so far. We are at the forefront of discovering new strains which should, the terrible track and trace fiasco aside, allow us to identify and shut down any dangerous ones reasonably quickly.
  9. Lovely bit of defending.
  10. 4-1 to PSG. He might not even see the week out as manager at this rate. Beautiful hat trick from Mbappe.
  11. Glenn Hoddle must the the only person in the world who refers to PSG as just Paris. Pochettino easily coming out top in this one. Koeman quite obviously won't last past this season.
  12. Pompey lost. Something to cheer us all up in these difficult times.
  13. 3-1 down to Bristol Rovers who started the evening in the relegation zone.

Haha, yeah. You could eat some fish and a a salad for about the same calories and it would far more nutritious. Saying that I just smashed back a load of pancakes so can hardly be called on for sound dietary advice.

    Coronavirus

It's the obsession of knowing who else has had what vaccine. I guess it's useful to know which one you had yourself but I'm not going to remember which one Aunty Doris had in 4 months time because that information would have been pushed out by the other 147 people who have told me which one they've had since. My level of interest is pretty much "you've had a vaccine, that's good you won't die from COVID." All the other details are irrelevant.

What's the deal with everyone asking which vaccine people have had? Pretty much every time I've been in a conversation with someone who has had it they'll tell me which one it was, or someone else involved will ask them. I'm pretty sure my Mum has a list detailing which vaccine all her friends and relatives have had because she seems that obsessed with it. They all stop you from dying which is surely all you need to know. No one asks which company made their flu vaccine or any of the ones the kids get.
  17. Thankfully Sheffield United are about to lose. That's another defeat for one of our relegation rivals which moves us closer to safety.
  18. I don't think any of our keepers were bought for their ability with their feet apart from Gunn. It's not until Hassenhuttl started asking them to play it out from the back that it's been a problem because before then they were just whacking it upfield (or off for a throw in)
  19. My steadfast unpopular opinion is that Alexander Arnold isn't anywhere as good as people make out. He holds the top 3 records for giving the ball away which is pretty bizarre. https://punditarena.com/football/daniel-hussey/trent-alexander-arnold-leicester-possession/
  20. We do need some leadership on the pitch. Players that battle hard and take no shit. Maybe we also need to start rolling around on the floor a bit more and getting in the ref's face because as much as I don't like that behaviour every other team seems to do it.
  21. Got the winning lottery numbers for next week as well have you? As a keeper in that situation you cover the near post which is what he did. Sometimes it hits you, sometimes it doesn't. He would have barely seen the ball.
  22. Beaten at the near post is when the ball goes between the keeper and the near post. Always has been, always will be.
  23. I don't know, I haven't kept up with the stats on penalties. He was in the right position. There were at least 3 players who made mistakes before Neto shot but everyone is rinsing the keeper for not saving a shot smashed at goal from close range. It's ridiculous.
  24. Forster kept 4 clean sheets without having to so anything remotely difficult. Most keepers penalty saving record is atrocious. There was nothing embarrassing about conceding a goal from Neto's shot. Do you actually know anything about goalkeeping because none of your post suggest you do.
