  1. FUCKING HELL WHAT A GOAL
  2. 4-0! Sam Hoskins scored for Northampton as well.
  3. Tella's been fouled more in this first half than Grealish has been all season.
  4. Bench looks stronger as well.
  5. Seems like a sensible and balanced line up taking into account players coming back from injury and the form of some others.
  6. Liverpool haven't won at home since beating Spurs 2-1 with a 90th minute winner on 16th December. Since then played 7, drawn 2 lost 5.
  7. First time Liverpool have ever lost 5 in a row at home according to commentators on TV.
  8. Robinson at LB is alright. Sam Johnstone could be an option in goal. Steady performer, wouldn't be that expensive.

    Coronavirus

Vaccine supply will really ramp up in the middle of the month so it won't be long until most of us have had it. Some centres are proactively contacting keyworkers for spare viruses. They do it here by ringing the control centre and saying "we have 10 spare doses, can you get anyone here in the next hour or so?"
  10. Another loss.
  11. Don't get me wrong, we weren't great but neither we we the car crash we have been. Armstrong easily our best player.
  12. I don't buy that. If we were that easy to score against they would have done, but they barely had a shot. Forster had no saves to make. Considering how crap we have been it was relatively encouraging that we kept them to scraps. Other than the goal they didn't really do anything apart from an offside goal which doesn't count.
  13. We actually played ok second half. The whole "overrun in midfield" theory was blown out of the water because Armstrong and Ward Prowse have been more than competitive. Probably deserved a point by the end. Vestergaard unlucky that he slipped when shooting.
  14. How do we look like conceding when they attack? They've only had 1 shot.
  15. Two pretty crap team performances there, one just a bit less crap than the other. There's been what, 1 shot on target in 45 mins? It's so dull. We've had some vaguely promising moves which fizzle out as soon as we get anywhere near the box. They haven't done much more. Surely the second half can't be any more boring?
  16. Just tonight?
  17. Ramsdale is young and has some good attributes but would probably be best in the Championship at the moment which is obviously where he will be next season. Pope is the keeper that everyone will be going for at the end season so that rules us out. Sam Johnston is probably the best bet if we're looking at other crap Premier League teams.
  18. I thought it was quite obvious what Puel was trying to do. No idea about Hughes or Pellegrino though. We were very dull under Puel at times and turned in some rank attacking performances but he wasn't a poor manager by any stretch of the imagination. We could do with a couple of his soporific goalless draws at the moment!
  19. Refs are a bit crap because a lot of potentially good ones get put off by the abuse they get at a young age. Anyone who has even reffed kids games knows there is abuse dished out by parents and managers at that level, and that's in Southampton where it's relatively tame compared to other areas. No idea why anyone would want to ref top flight games these days with the scrutiny they are under. It's obviously become harder and harder with the advent of social media and multiple camera angles showing up every mistake that's made. Saying that they don't always make it easy for themselves, especially when they are promoting buffoons like Lee Mason far above the level of their ineptitude. It's a hard job. I'd like to see anyone ref a Tyro match and walk off thinking they didn't get an important decision wrong, let alone a Non-League or pro game.
  20. Palace seem to be trying to bore their opposition to sleep in the hope of nicking a goal at some point. It's almost like anti-football. (Yes, I'm aware they are above us in the table but that doesn't mean I can't be critical of their style)
  21. You had a lucky escape that day mate. I've heard about those Preston fans. They are famous for stalking around motorway services on a match day lunchtime and praying on unsuspecting rival fans before dishing out a few slaps and making off with their lunch.

It's a pity Steve hasn't introduced a simple football based knowledge check before allowing people on the main board.
  23. He's insanely good. If Man City bought him the rest of the teams in the Premier League may as well not bother anymore because they'd win every game about 7-0.
  24. Brighton are hilarious
  25. Why is he blowing his whistle twice? The bloke is an idiot.
