Rate the January Transfer Window! 2024 slimline version
The Cat replied to Barsiem's topic in The Saints
10. Just so people can come back in 4 months time when we lose in the play off semi final and tell me I was wrong. -
If MLG was still around there would be a Mr Wrong picture in his reply to this post because Stewart also came on at home to West Brom for the last 10 minutes.

People have been singing that at away games for a while. Weirdly it never fully catches on at home despite being easy to remember. I guess it's because it doesn't slag off Pompey or mention libraries so the Stone Island yoof in the Northam don't think it's worth singing. The guy is absolutely brilliant. Hope we can keep him if we go up.
-
Didn't they sign him at the start of the window? He played against Maidstone in the cup. Not sure why he went back from loan at West Brom, he was there for the first half of the season.
-
It's pointless mentioning that. Everything is so simple in Alex's world. I wonder if he still thinks our manager is a cretin?
-
After some of last season's performances I was expecting him to be a massive player this year, scoring loads of goals and running games. For whatever reason he just hasn't been. Obviously has ability and has shown flickers of what I was hoping for but largely hasn't played and when he has there's been a lot of inconsistency. Good luck to him.
-
Wonder how many they'll bring? A couple of thousand would be a good effort for a midweek game where the winner goes out in the next round.
-
You have until 1230 tomorrow if you want to sit in your own seat. Maybe the prices are as they are because they are the same as the original game at Watford? Seems reasonable enough to me.
-
Time wasting doesn't annoy me because there's games in which we do it. You can't get pissed off with the other team for trying when we'd do exactly the same in that circumstance. It's up to refs to add more time on if it happens. Fair to get annoyed at the ref if he doesn't.
-
Nope. He turned around as he was leaving the pitch and gave the away end the standard clap.
-
Some people started singing Taylor Harwood Bells to the football in a library tune yesterday. Hopefully, the tune gets reclaimed to be about a player rather confusing people to the point where we have some of the away end singing about libraries while others are doing it for THB.
-
I haven't seen him for a while, although maybe he goes in disguise now by not wearing a hat.
-
Is the replay definitely 6th Feb? I checked club twitter but couldn't see it confirmed.

It's hard for squad players when they are brought into to a side with wholesale changes to the first XI. Hard to really gauge what sort of performance each would give if just replacing one player in the team. For example look at Alcaraz today. Was very poor in possession for the most part. Then the subs come on and suddenly he looks much better because people are all doing their expected jobs at the right time.

Deserved draw, had complete control of the game when the subs came on. They had no idea how to stop us down our left, Stu and Fraser tore them apart.
-
I think Fraser will come on. Stripped out of training gear for the half time kick about

Kenny Jackett interviewed on the pitch at HT. Predictable reaction from our fans. Haha.
-
He's been in a lot of space at times and been ignored. Mainly our passing has been poor. There's also a lack of movement when we have possession at the back so there's no really any great options for a pass. I'm stood at the back behind the goal so can see everything in front of me. Was a very poor goal to concede and it's all down to Lumley not opting to have a wall and then misjudging the shot. I don't really think Watford have been that great, Lumley only made one save.

Apparently a Wolves fan in the home end celebrating when they scored
-
Dibling looks more of an all round player than SAA. It's no surprise to me at all that he's overtaken him.
-
So pleased that Dibling gets a start.

Traffic was fine. Got to the pub just in time to see England wrap up a historic test match win.
-
That was unreal. I know a few people who were there today in the away end, must have been incredible. Absolutely brilliant for the club and the fans who trawled around the Kent League watching them in the 90's after they went bust.
