Is that @trousers or trousers?

The honours system has been devalued for years, dished out to curry favour amongst friends, party donors and various hangers on. It's really not even worthy of discussion nowadays apart from to pick apart which of their cronies the government of the day has given them to. I'll wait for the next issue of Private Eye to see the full list of them.

Which players who are constantly on the bench from the first team squad aren't getting any game time? Bree is injured isn't he? Holgate clearly going back to Everton and not our player. Other than that I can't see anyone else this applies to. I said I'd like the kids to get some game time but they are kids and their time will come. No doubt all this is being explained to them. Dibling would have hardly signed a new contract if he felt he was being "frozen out."

To be fair to him I have heard on good authority that he does actually support Saints. It's not his sporting passion, because that is cricket, but he certainly knows enough and follows results to the extent that you could call him a fan. Would love it if he had a login on here, ha.
-
It's actually me that's been doing that.
-
Walker Peters for me. Some bloke sat behind us yesterday who obviously supported neither team was eulogising about him throughout the game.
-
I see it as a way of making everyone in the squad feel part of the first team. No one is being frozen out as we saw with previous managers. From what I hear there is a sense of togetherness throughout the squad which hasn't been there for a long time. Obviously winning helps, but the fact this is happening while everyone is getting a chance can only be a good thing. The atmosphere around the training ground is said to be one of togetherness and everyone supports each other. Some of the players who left before the end of the summer window, either permanently or on loan, didn't exactly have the type of personality which would help foster that type of environment.

When will THB and Sam Edozie get full England caps?
The Cat replied to gio1saints's topic in The Saints
I'd rather they didn't because it would mean I'd need to bother watching England play. -
We pick up a lot of yellows because we have a lot of players ahead of the ball in possession so when we lose it there's often no option but to bring a player down and take a booking. That's why we subbed off Alcaraz and Smallbone yesterday. It's also why yellows like the one Alcaraz picked up yesterday are inexcusable.

And there's also people who are far too quick to jump on his back when he makes a mistake and do the opposite. He's a very good young keeper. He will make mistakes, as he improves as a player these will happen less often. Also, because he's young, he hasn't had as much time as Ederson, Allisson, Pickford or whoever to make these match winning saves, although this season he has definitely contributed to us winning points with his performances.

Martin laid no blame on Bazunu in the post match interview. He said the players started passing back to him too much near the end and weren't being positive enough in possession. It's the first real mistake with his feet that had led to a goal I can remember this season. All keepers make them, even Ederson and Allisson who are seen as the gold standard for passing out from the back.

Should be respect supporters who have called him a cunt on the internet? (That wasn't Sunak, at least I don't think it was. Although possible he has a login on here!)

A win would be fantastic, although I think after our recent run of wins we've built up enough credit to walk away happy with a draw. They are very inconsistent. Had a terrible October and a 4 game losing streak, but turned that around before losing the last 2. 3 wins in their last 4 home games albeit against teams down the bottom of the league. Of the last 7 games at Carrow Road we have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 3 which isn't great but also not terrible.

Nothing better than taking part of a quote and ignoring the rest to fit your own agenda eh? Also quite funny asking the manager to respect the office of Prime Minister when the Tory party have spent the last few years disrespecting it themselves by appointing useless PM's while being too scared to have an actual public vote on it. Not quite sure what sway the manager of the team has over which sponsorship deals are agreed by the club, especially ones that were in place before he joined. Other than that, great thread.

Would you rather Stephens gets some game time while we are rotating the squad during a busy period and comfortably winning matches, or sits on the bench until one of the CB's gets injured and then has to come straight into the team for a run of games without potentially playing for months? There's is absolutely no way Bazunu thought that either. One thing you can see from our play is that the players all trust each other.
-
Doesn't quite seem like it but doesn't forget that Sports Republic and/or Russell Martin are culpable in allowing another team to sign him and should be taken out back and shot or something.
-
Completely agree with this. We created loads of chances and on another day that could have been as comfortable as the Swansea game was. There's still one game of the Xmas period to go but so far we have been excellent. The squad management has meant more players getting match time which keeps them up to speed and gives others a rest. Would absolutely love to see Dibling get on the pitch during a league game we are bossing so he can show what he can do. The kid is a special talent and it would be great to see him get some game time.
-
Should have been more comfortable but any win is good. Some of the play in the first half was exceptional. 2 very good goals, the Alcaraz one was sumptuous. I thought Adams played well, pity he didn't take one of his other chances. Made so many runs and was rewarded for those eventually with a great pass from Harwood-Bellis. Good to hear the fans sing Bazunu's name at the end.
-
Is that the players, the fans, or both?
-
I agree that people would be frustrated but that doesn't mean personal insults need to be thrown around on the internet does it? I obviously wasn't happy with 4 losses in a row but you need to give people time especially when changing styles so much.
-
Wasn't directed at you but in general at those who were throwing words like cunt around. Why so impatient though? We all want the team to do well and we were told by the manager and club that it would take time but people decided to ignore that and just throw abuse instead despite the season barely having started.
-
Many people voiced concerns in a normal way, but it was the others throwing around insults and name calling who are the ones who deserve to be called out. Often the same people then embark on a long, tedious posting journey to try and back up their initial overreaction rather than apologising and admitting they were wrong.
-
Surprised you are interested in what our "cretin" of a manager has to say.
-
There's plenty of people who didn't feel the need to call him or the board names though. I was obviously unhappy with the 4 losses in a row but felt it pointless to try and defend him because the pile on wouldn't have been worth it. There's a pack mentality with people shouting others down if they have an opposing view. Sometimes it's best to wait until things pan out rather than go all out and state that someone is out of their depth and then end up looking silly when they prove they are anything but.
