Just had an amazing curry in a Pakistani restaurant near the ground.

Weird that the line up is unchanged. People seemed convinced the manager would mess around with the team or pick one of his apparent favourites.

Last time I parked around there was this time last Xmas for a gig at Bush Hall. There is a lot of street parking in the road around that venue but I remember it being pretty pricey.

It was 2015 when we were last in the same league. We won 1-0 there, Mane scored right at the end.

Guaranteed win here because I'm going with my youngest but the eldest can't go. Me and the youngest have a 100% win record at away games when it's just been us.

Saints 4 actual goals vs 0 Blackburn - Match Thread
The Cat replied to Convict Colony's topic in The Saints
Not sure how a style can be classed as arrogant. It's it like we're flicking the ball over our heads or continually backheeling it. What is arrogant is writing off whole swathes of players in the league as "plodders". If fans of other clubs are annoyed it should be at their team for not winning the ball back, you know they are allowed to press us higher up the pitch? They could even get the ball and pass it to each other if they want. Each to their own but Barcelona were the best team I've ever seen and I loved watching them play. Same with Man City when they are on top form. -

Also our biggest home win since we beat Arsenal 4-0 on Boxing Day in 2015 I think. -
It's this completely, this. Some teams defend against it better than others, or are quick on the break and capitalise when we make a mistake. This is the same at all levels for teams that play a possession game. We've done it against Man City, hell, Crystal Palace do it against them a lot. It will obviously happen. One thing I don't get is the constant use of the phrase Russball on the forum. I find it jarring and irritating. He didn't invent this style of play.

I love reading back through the first half posts at half time for crackers like this. -
I've got one spare adult if you still need one. It's at my mates house in South London at the moment as he bought them for our group.

Sack off the replica shirt and get him stone island jumper like the proper fans have

I bet trousers is the office gossip at work. Always asking people where they heard things. "Did you hear the Sharon saw Barbara in Lidl on Sunday and she was with ANOTHER different man? Jason's getting his kitchen done and painting it purple! No I didn't know that about Steve, can't believe it. Who told you?"

Outfield players make loads of mistakes every game. Poor passes, shots ballooned over the bar, bad runs, wrong positioning. Goalkeepers make very few in comparison but they always magnified and analysed far more. Goalkeeper lets a soft one in, meltdown. A striker misses a good chance, oh, he should have done better. If that game turns out to a draw then both of them have equally contributed to us not winning.

Can't you get the top delivered and then get the stuff printed on the back in Sports Direct?
-
We should be promoting things in our songs that are great about the city. We've got an IKEA and a Costco FFS. Does Coventry have either or them? No. We should be lording it over them with these sort of facts. Celebrate the positives.

What are you blathering on about now?
-
Other then the goal my favourite bit was us passing it out from the back in injury time while their players swarmed all over us. Bazunu has some bollocks on him to do that while under pressure. A draw was fair, both teams missed a couple of chances they probably thought they should have scored. They were really well organised and had enough pace to trouble us on the break. Thought we looked more threatening when we made the subs and played with width.

Pretty awful again last night in terms of noise. Coventry fans had a fair few songs, some of them were crap but at least they had variety whereas we don't. They did have a drummer so lose a point for that. Both sets of fans seemed to quite like telling each other they lived in a shithole. My son said that one of the things he likes about going to away games in random places around the country is that it has made him realise Southampton is a bit less shit than he thought.

Maybe he didn't want to be subjected to a pre game Burger King because there's no good pubs.

I came here before when we were in the Championship but that was a Saturday and we did train, taxi and beers. Drove tonight, left my car somewhere I'm likely to get a ticket. Probably lose now to top the evening off! At least I'll be able to look back on this in a few months and laugh about it.
-
Team less important than this being a shit away trip.
-
Is this the worst place for an evening away game? I've ended up in a burger king on a retail park next to the stadium like some sort of twat.

Starman, the same as the one for Redmond
