  1. M3 northbound closed between junctions 4 to 3 over the weekend in case anyone was thinking of driving up that way.
  2. You're getting the mid 90's breakthrough American hip hop bands mixed up. Jump Around was House of Pain. Cypress Hill would have been too stoned after taking hits from their bong to even contemplate any vague form of physical exercise.
  3. Will the overhang of a 50 year old man's beer belly work?
  4. If Chelsea want him they'll get him, unless for some bizarre reason he'd rather stay. Maybe the club will flat out say no but I doubt it, one thing I do believe though is that we'll get a decent fee for anyone leaving as we are in a better financial position than we were in previous transfer windows.
  5. We always park in Woolston. I quite like the walk over the Itchen Bridge apart from when it's raining and windy. Then it's just horrible.
  6. They've cut down on the shit that used to come in the box at least. The idea for the box was pretty good too, making every one unique but then I partly thought "just chuck it an envelope and be done with it." Saying that, we'll look back on these with fond memories when we are using fingerprints to enter the stadium or having our retinas scanned at the turnstile!
  7. I was thinking more Kriss Kross.
  8. No one who buys a season ticket is even remotely basing it on whether they get a badge or not. Most people would be happy just to get the card in the post. FWIW my son got a keyring rather than a badge. Same design, "that's pretty cool" he said.
  9. I didn't say he played like Tadic, but I think there will be people who get frustrated with him not being consistent. That's the Tadic comparison, not his style of play. Maybe he will be on it every game and I'll be wrong.
  10. Friendly or not, it was an absolutely incredible goal. There's no way the club weren't going overboard about it. This guy is going to totally divide the fanbase just like Tadic. He has some amazing skills, there was a piece of close control under pressure from a high, spinning ball on Saturday which was worth the entry fee alone. But then he spends time on the periphery of the game, trying the odd thing that doesn't come off which please the groaners at St Mary's because they love to moan about something. Personally I love those types of player. I had a bit of a man crush on Tadic and am really looking forward to watching Aribo.
  11. £40 for an adult season ticket, £10 for U18's. Dirt cheap. Any idea how much normal match tickets will be? I presume a bit more than last season considering they are using St Mary's this time. There's no way I could go every week to mens games on Saturdays and then women's on Sundays. Especially when you throw in mens games which are rearranged for TV and away matches, but I'm keen to go to some games. Just not sure it's worth getting a season ticket if I will miss maybe half the games.
  12. The roofs of the Chapel and Northam so we can put the new screens up.
  13. I like the fact the women aren't so well media trained as the men because it's making for far more interesting interviews than the boring clichés that fall out the men's mouths.
  14. Like some kind of Fight Club scenario?
  15. Does the DJ at Wembley only own 7 records and have to contractually play them in the same order after every final? Great to see England win, I thought Germany were just getting hold of the midfield but the subs put England back on the front foot and they deserved to get the winner.
  16. Oh wow, what a finish!
  17. Reckon we could see a red card the way this is going.
  18. Our keeper is better on crosses than Forster was and he's about twice her height.
  19. Lee Mason wouldn't be out of place, he has tits as big as anyone else on the pitch.
  20. Ref's poor. Nearly as bad as some of the Premier League refs.
  21. Colwill today watching Sholing win 9-1 in a pre season friendly at Brockenhurst.
  22. Fair summary from Ralph. Will take him a bit of time to get used to the pace of the Premier League but he definitely has something about him.
  23. I only saw him today but he's strong, pretty quick and good on the ball. He's such a new player and getting used to the people around him so will no doubt get caught out at times until he plays more games. Looks a good signing.
  24. Maybe, but I see them as very interchangeable. I'd probably go with Romeu on Saturday because of his experience. We've been playing with 3 in midfield most of pre-season, so it will probably be the same again. Romeu/Lavia then Ward Prowse and Aribo with 2 up front. The full backs are playing very high so it's 5 across the middle quite a lot of the time.
