  1. The problem is the gulf between the income from the Prem to the Championship. If you drop out you are almost forced to gamble big to get back up because you can not sustain a premiership club outside of the prem for very long. Being a prem club demands a good ground, training facilities, academy, good wages etc and it can't be paid for on the second rate income the championship offers. So to say we had a sporting advantage three seasons ago is ludicrous we had one roll of the dice left and had to splash out. We also had no more family silver to plunder and we got into financial trouble at possible the worst time for decades. The Prem/Champ gulf is a systematic failure in English football at the moment and one we are stilling being bashed over our heads for. The other league clubs probably fell we desearve it voting for the breakaway Premiership, but what could we do it was going to happen with or without us. It was meant to help English Club compete better in Europe and help the national side by developing talent in this country. The English clubs do compete better but only on talent nutured elsewhere and the national side are as far off the grade as ever.
  2. They could have met becuase of friendship, charity, to discuss other possible managers, MLT wanted to show KK his new clubs, MLT had a problem with his computer and KK is a dab hand at de-fragging, they are lovers?
  3. its like thanking a mugging for not murdering you
  4. I think this is the guy fronting their bid
  5. Sunday Mirror has the Pearson story on one page and then is slagging us of for wanting KK as manager on another page.
  6. My thoughts exactly, this is why the 'one size fits all' rule doesn't work in our case. The arguement is that we will get a sporting advantage next season with the reduced debt, however we didn't seek administration, we did not seek that advantage, we are being tried for the law of unforseen cirmcumstances. Lowe (and I dont like him) did everything possible to avoid administration he cut the club to the bone last season to the point where we had a sporting disadvantage and we got relegated because of it. We have had our punishment already. The footballing authorities aren't meant to address systematic inbalances otherwise teams that get a Champions League windfall or rich sugar daddies should start on minus ten points. The law is meant to punish those that seek admin for their advantage, this has happened in the past but it is certainly not what we were doing. I expect anyone who owns our club to do a much as is feasible to overturn this -10 points. If there is a technicality loophole I hope they exploit it, we dont deserve futher punishment on any grounds, legal or moral. The league brought these rules in a knee jerk, altered them as a knee jerk. No time or thought was put into and the undesearving suffer. If there is a loophole it only highlights how useless the FL are, why are they so desperate to get Pinacle to sign the non appeal clause, because they are wrong, wrong, wrong.
  7. On Radio 5 the otehr day, Barwick said that KK is not under contract with Newcastle but is taking them to court for constructive dismisal. Could KK getting another job deminish his claim, could the Southampton rumors have been started by the Ashely camp to reduce his claim. Who knows.
  8. Maybe we should hold fire on MJ until the facts are revealed.
  9. I can see that now, I thought you may have had connection and for a split second I thought you were the real MLT. Cheers.
  10. Why are they not happy, please expand.
  11. I know, here we are on a Saturday, could be watching the Lions down the pub, instead we are trawling the SWF looking for any snippet of good news. Still when we are steaming back up the league these will seem like distant days.
  12. I see, I'm just not keeping up. Its all moving too fast in a very slow way. Cheers.
  13. Matthew Le God, out of interest, how did you become the conduit for TL posts, why doesn't he post direct on here or through an admin?
  14. All that is true, it's the silly little non-quoted filler stories that are bull****.
  15. This website is brilliant, there is always someone who comes up with the goods. Could the compromise be, as I posted elsewhere, we take the points deduction and its just backdated to last season.
  16. Not if they re-draft the rules to suit, which they will have to do anyway now this situation has highlighted the hole. Are we the plc structure to go into admin since the -10 rules came in?
  17. I dont think thats what hes saying, but if the FL accept the deal they have to admit that SFC and SLH are not linked. This they don't want to do becasue the -10 wont be applicable. This is why the FL is trying to pass the -10 on to SFC.
  18. So the FL could accept that we are an anomaly and back down. Look at their rules again and draft them properly next time.
  19. That is, as I see it, the way out of this mess. Southampton accepts that -10 is valid and the FL accepts that the points should be applied to last season. We are not materially affected and the FL maintains its authority. It would be a fudge and a missed opportunity to look at the ruling, but it could move the situation on.
  20. I guess if we accept that there is money behind the Pinnacle bid without really knowing than we must accept that there is money behind MJ. However there are people on here who's opinion I trust and they think MJ is bad news. Pinnacle, MLT, KK seems so attractive we all want it to happen.
  21. I remember that song 'The average name of the ****s on here is n n n n nineteen'
  22. Of course a rival bidder could interfere despite the exclusivity. Letters, emails, phone calls to creditors, FL, MF. If I wanted to disrupt a rival bid, I would, for instance let the FL league know that I would accept to with hold the clubs right of appeal. Its not hard.
  23. Emails to the FL will do no harm. At the very least people let of steam at the very most it influences the decision making process and the truth is the effect will lie somewhere in between. The whole ruling on the points deductions need to be looked at, because it is a mess. Its a one size fits all policy when each case is different. The FL/FA allows criminals and murdering dictators to own clubs, but a honest consortium that just wants the right of appeal is not allowed. You would think this was a banana republic not 21st century England so lobby away if you think it will do any good. The sooner we get back in the prem away from these amateurs the better.
  24. it's paper b*****ks
  25. I don't that is the case, there is recourse in law even to members club. You have, for instance, the court for sports arbitration, which seeks to intervene to avoid a full court case. I believe the decision to deduct us the points was based around; deduct us and one team could take legal action against the FL, dont deduct us and lots of clubs could take legal action against them. Either way the rediculousness of the deduction rules will be exposed. They are now trying to convieniently bury a problem they have created and avoid having their authority deminished. If their deduction is solid they should let it stand up to scrunity. The football league is wrong on so many levels, if they endanger this take over they should hang their heads in shame.
