I went to school on the school bus and on the day KK signed my mum was waiting at the school gates, I thought someone had died (as it happens I did and went to heaven when I found out). I refuse to believe her until I heard the news and all the way home I was saying 'you must have heard that we signed the Norwich goalie Kevin Keehan (sp)'. It was amazing and a true measure of what we and football as a whole were about in those days. Never again.

For me its not, it depends on how you view SFC, you can see it a provider of a product or a cultural institution of the city. Everybody is entitled view SFC in any way they see fit and I see it as the later. After all that we have been through this year we should be grateful that we still have league football to look forward to and I think people should be happy to pay to support SFC. Other than earning points at a few supermarkets, loyalty isn't really rewarded; Sky, gym, mobile phone, management fees, insurances, they all go up every year. The preferential treatment a renewing season ticket holder gets is to keep their seat if they want to and that in my opinion should be enough. Maybe after ten years the club could invite people to St Mary's for a drink and to meet some players and after 25 years there could be a certificate presentation on the pitch at half time.

Look back up the thread then. Maybe only those asking for a discount are current STH. I've given money to Cancer Research for the last ten years maybe my loyalty should be rewarded with a discounted direct debit. Get it.

Because we are fans and we are supposed to want to be members of Southampton Football Club. This isn't a 'you give me some football and I give you some money' type of purchase. Its about the supports chipping in their fair share to support the collective dreams and asperations of our football club. You and all the others of you ilk deserve a lot of respect for your continuing support of the club, but I don't think, especially this season, that it warrants a discount.

Why should people have to do that, NI represents the Saints Trust only and the Saints Trust don't represent anyone apart from themselves. I don't care who is the brown owl of the Saints Trust because I don't care about the Saints Trust. Were the fans voiceless 5 years ago before the Saints Trust invented itself. It would just be good if the Echo went to another fan once in a while for a quote.

**** me I cant believe people are talking about being 'rewarded'. The club is on its knees and if it is to continue in a thriving manner it needs its fans to be part of the solution. One sensible pricing structure and not at rock bottom prices. We will end up with the club we deserve so park your sense of entitlement for a couple of seasons at least.

I'm sorry but how is mashing together an old badge and our current one a proper rebrand. The old badge was awful anyway and what has a crown got to do with SFC. I thought the tree on the badge represented the green parks of the city and strength, as decribed on the old board by the designers grandson.
