Diagnosed with Parkinsons in his early 30's, very sad.

The government reaction is for the following reasons, in my opinion; 1) The mutations are of enough concern to require a response. 2) They fucked up the alpha response by acting too late. My hospital is in north Kent, which was where alpha (aka the Kent variant) was rampant. The government/scientists didn't realise early enough about the increased transmission of alpha. We were posting higher covid figures in the hospital, but the government thought that it was an internal infection control malfunction and sent a team to obsearve the infection control regime, to work out 'what we were doing wrong'. We weren't it was just alpha taking hold. They then reacted with a half arsed social lockdown, but it was too late. 3) They fucked up the delta response, by not shutting the borders to India, because they were closing in on a trade deal. 4) This is a sign of a government with low confidence at the moment, a buoyant Boris government wouldn't be this cautious.

If you've got £20k, you've got the wedge to arrange a student/tourist visa and just fly here. With £20k you can bribe a lot of officials in these countries. I have never said open the border, I have said it's a really hard issue to solve, I also agree that some are economic migrants. I am just countering some of the simplistic or incorrect narrative that always floats around this subject. -

I'm not demonising the state, all along I've said its a hard issue to crack. But the level of debate is poor when people are offering up basket case Somalia as an example a stable country that people don't need to flee from. Let's not pretend this is about the tories trying to prevent dangerous crossings because of the harm they cause. This is about protecting the borders and that's ok, people want them to do that. Call it what it is. -

Who said they were penniless, is that now one of your criteria, are your nice higher educated political refugees, you know the deserving migrants, are they penniless? If someone had £20k to blow, with that sort of money surely they could find an easy route than weeks sitting in the French woods and then crossing on a blow up boat. -

He hasn't got a point really. There's a wide group of a people inbetween political refugees and economic migrants. To be able to claim asylum you have to be fearful of persecution if you return. Take Whities Somalia, it was in a civil war for decades, the rule of law has gone, the economy has collapsed and parts of the country are run by war lords and gangs; a 20 year old man, who has grown up knowing nothing else all his life, to survive he gets involved in stuff that gets him on the wrong side of a war lord. So his only option now is to run. Not a political refugee or economic migrant but still a refugee under international law. The point about seeking asylum in the first safe country is a valid one. However it's only natural for someone to have a preference, to seek out family or friends and in doing so doesn't diminish from the plight they are in. I know if England went to rat shit, I'd have a list in preference order about where I would run to. -

Is that worn torn, terriorist ravaged, 75% below the poverty line Somalia, that one? -
At least we aren't shitting ourselves about putting a bit of medicine in our arms.

I see it's Liverpool v Southampton this weekend in the Tory party, with Dorries disbelieving Nokes. Dorries debt to BJs patronage and her love of the culture wars was too tempting to not get involved. Publically disbelieving won't end well. -
No it's me, I'm just too fearful to think for myself.

Because it is simple really, people with two jabs had them a while ago, protection decreases over time. Those with three jabs have had their protection recently boosted. Unless those trying to control us are so useless they fucked up the original dose.

Let's hope so, let's hope it's not like the Delta one. What do you advocate that we do whilst we find out; no press coveage, no government response?

Loads do claim asylum in all those other countries you mention, but some want to come to England. Contrary to popular opinion we are not top of the list for taking in migrants. European countries and the US are attractive to people because they come from war torn areas or backward dumps run by religious nutters. Its natural they would be looking for a better place to live and bring up their family. You are right though, no government wants this level of this type of migration but at the moment this is a worldwide phenomenon. There are thousands of Central Americans trying to get to America as well and their are millions of dispersed people in neighbouring countries. And Turkey is a host for millions of migrants, with out them they would all be in Europe. The French have done loads, the reason why people get in boats is because they can no longer get on to lorries because of all the security measures around ports. The Channel was once seen as an advantage, because border security believed people wouldn't try to cross it. But now it has been proved to be a viable option it is impossible to control from your border. Once people are in our water, we are bound by international law to protect them and you can't push them back. A land border is easier to patrol, you can put up defenses and stop people entering. This is why we want to patrol the French beaches. The world is a turbulent place creating lots a dispersed people and this isn't an easy problem to solve. That's why Pritti has solved it, and it won't be solved by tory soundbites or by tweeting five point plans. -

Talk of irony, the Brits can't understand why the French may not want British soldiers/police patrolling French beaches. It's too simple for the UK government to claim this is a French problem, the migrants are only in France in order to get to England. If it was the otherway around we would be acting like the French. -
The Bot variant has made it to Europe. It's worth noting that people dismissed the Delta variant when it first came out, but that got out of control and flung us back into lockdown big style. Pleased that the government have red listed SA so quickly, they are learning from previous mistakes.

Why do Saints not have an independent supporters trust?

So are we concluding that because if the credibility crash, the statue killed of SFC independent fan groups, that's a legacy. -
That will allow them to get the chequebook out this Jan.

The statement from the club is very powerful and the right thing to do. The club shamefully did let these boys down in the past. It appears that the club now are trying to put things right, which it can be commended for.

A work colleague was counting down the days to his South African holiday that he had rolled over from 2020. He was worried about his flight teansfer in Europe but this came out of no where, he is gutted.

I see the Tories are moving the tax office to Newcastle and renting the offices from a tax exile tory donor based in the BVI. Before Boris's government you would say you couldn't make it up, not anymore this is regular stuff now. They want to back an independent football regulator, so there is another position they can stick an unelected tory on the gravy train. Loyality and patronage, we are becoming a little Russia. -

I have the Saints Trust share certificate somewhere in the loft. Anyone want to buy them? -
My monies on they wouldn't be found not guilty and have an audience with the 45 president the next day.

An interesting question is, what the out come and fallout would have been if the two guys Rittenhaus had killed were black. The outcome would be the same but I'm sure the fall out would be different. The gun is so sacred in America, if Rittenhaus had 'defended' himself by driving the two guys down, would he have got away with murder, I doubt it. It's all about the America wild west pysche bollocks about every mans right to defend their property with a gun. The country needs to grow up.
