Or to be more accurate, a bit like SRL scoring off both posts and the bar intentionally.

Used the now fully open new style junction for the first time this morning. Surprised to report no problems at all. Then again, not a single cyclist in sight in any of the 4 directions. So on that random survey of one, a total waste of money then.

Just sounds like a curious way of saying that the developer has given an undertaking to provide funds under a section 106 agreement. Standard practice.

The red line is the boundary for the area covered by the planning application. That doesn't necessarily mean that all of that land is under the same ownership. Having said that, a ground you can't get to would register slightly high on the amusement scale.

Well that wasn't true was it. Lost interest after that.

As soon as work starts they'll be digging up these by the dozen. Anthropologists and archaeologists will be all over the site like a rash, putting the bestest Phoenix like rise from the ashes comeback behind by several more years.

Here's one, especially for you. x

Wrong board I know but the guy is a friend and a fellow Saints fan and this will get him more exposure than general sports. Hopefully mods can leave it here for a while, Local lad Matt Watson is aiming to represent England in high jump at the Commonwealth games. He's getting there, but currently suffering the viscous circle of hard to achieve big success without the backing of a sponsor >>> hard to get backing if not already successful. He's appealing via crowdfunding for sponsorship however big or small to help him get there. Please take the time to watch and read CLICK HERE FOR LINK. Donations would be great but helping spread the word via facebook twitter etc also helpful. Cheers #backmatt [video=youtube_share;WzDdRAhbriY]

Love reading this thread. As someone else said, it's the reason I don't pay my £5, if I did I'd have been wasting hours on it. For my contribution MLG and Trousers talking total sense about 50 other posters are ridiculing them with what I'd like to call total ******** but is in reality more likely a total inability to accept any level of reasoning outside of a pre-conceived idea illogically formed in their own tiny minds. Then again they could all be just taking the **** with friendly banter (Now there's a good example. 1st post I was distracted - not by a butterfly - didn't notice the final ] wasn't there and cocked up image. Have now wasted a second post. Which leaves only 1 for the day. The unavailable 3rd now 4th post may have been something of earth shattering importance which will now go unposted for at least 24 hours which may or may not prove too late to be of consequence. Or it may not)

This has always been my argument. EU laws cover employment so no restriction can be put on the number of EU citizens employed. But a competition can state than x number of players on the field at any one time must be home grown/of a certain age/whatever rules it likes. This, by it's nature, would result in clubs employing more home grown players whilst not restricting the number of or discriminating against players from other EU countries. They'd be free to employ as many as they like but as most would be unavailable to take part on match days then they wouldn't bother.

If you thought the Southampton tower climb was good...
Wurzel replied to niceandfriendly's topic in The Lounge
Felt physically sick just watching that. my first reaction when watching any of these videos is "Why?" I understand enjoying an adrenalin rush and all that, but that is just ignoring every safety precaution going. Do these guys have a total disregard to their own survival? Having said that, I've yet to see a report of anyone falling from any of these climbs -
Hope someone is keeping score. Did anyone have Shirley Temple? (had no idea she was still alive)

Look closer. They're not ice cream vans. That's the transport fleet of the Pompey Travel Club
-
Does it say they both have to be scored in the same game?

He is democratically elected.

The latest issue of FourFourTwo has an article about terrace chants. It gives us a mention. ... "Also around this time (1895) fans of some clubs developed chants known as 'whispers'- although they were more like war cries. One of the most famous was the Southampton Whisper, an ear-splitting yell of 'Yi! Yi! Yi!' " Anyone ever heard of this? And who wants to be first to resurrect it on Saturday?

I am surprised by that. Can't say I'm not pleased though

He's made the common mistake of assuming that they would have been planning that far ahead. 3 years? Anything beyond the next 3 games is just a bonus.

Good but not so thumbs-uppy. 20/1 squad, 66/1 starts first game on SkyBet NOW.

CORTESE - a personal and factual view of why Ms Liebherr was right.
Wurzel replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Good point, but to be fair, at the time we were for sale I doubt any financial institution would have lent 14p let alone £14m to buy a 3rd division football club. His only option was to find someone with the readies available. -

Going slightly off thread but if the club can make £25 on a £35 cover price suggesting you only charge them £10 for it, why aren't you selling them yourselves on Amazon at say £19.99 and make yourselves a tenner a copy (less amazon expenses) more than if it sold in club shop. At that price I'd have clicked the buy with one click button without hesitating, when I saw one in Waterstones at £35 I didn't even look inside.I doubt I'm the only one. -
How come MLT hasn't linked to THIS STORY from only a week ago to back up his claim.? Having said that, they have shown a bit more interest in the Woolston site than that story makes out. And Dalian Wanda are into football, they sponsor the Chinese league. And they are investing heavily in the UK. Who knows, maybe MLT got it right accidentally

Cortese has left Southampton Football Club - Officially Confirmed

What he said last May made sense then, he hadn't been here long and was to be fair still finding his feet both on and off the pitch. Now he's settled why would he want to go now?
