Have you ever tried making an @ out of seats? That's purely your opinion due to not being a twitter user. I know many people for whom following the #saintsfc hashtag is the first (and for some, only) source of keeping up to date with Saints news - before here (possibly why so many past posters have deserted this site), the OS , Echo or anywhere else. And it's certainly the quickest and most comprehensive way of keeping up on match days (apart from turning up at the stadium).

E=The9;1766900] I should be more annoyed about it, but it just smacks of desperate bandwagon jumping and shows the club genuinely has no clue what people want from them in terms of communication. Osvaldo Saints Go Marching In......

Actually, in case Mr Cortese is reading this, please note that the line "Look out you Big 4 we're coming for you" is intended to emphasise how we are taking things one step at a time and in no way implies a lack of ambition on our part

...... we used to sing about catching Pompey ?:lol: We're coming for you. We're coming for you Look out you "Big 4" We're coming for you

How expensive would football need to become before you wouldn't watch Saints?
Wurzel replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
Afraid it's already gone past that stage for me as well. Premier League football is now something I have accepted carries on without me. I'm still just as interested in results and how we played etc, but as far as attending games go it'll be one or two a season as a treat. Contrast with Hampshire's T20 games, all of which I attended this season (for the first time) at a cost of between £12.50 and £20 a game. Affordable, all but one were very entertaining with tense exciting finishes, and I've already decided I'm going again next year. -
And to think, we even ditched the stripes so they wouldn't make him look fat and still he goes elsewhere. That's the trouble with football today - no loyalty.

Was thinking the same. Do I point out he's making a pratt of himself or sm I guilty of a whoosh moment . Funny either way Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk 2

...we're not going to win the league. These are the forecasts of Bloomberg Sport, the analytics company who have used seasons' worth of data and complex algorithms to predict the final standings of the new season. Realistic?

If you could relive one footballing moment, what would it be?

Even though I was at Wembley 76 if we are talking single moments it has to be this Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk 2 -
Much as I agree with his sentiments, there's probably hardly a country in the world where one or more other countries couldn't find some reason to object to. In any case I always thought that the Olympics were awarded to a city not a country, and for the duration of the games the sites the games take place in are considered a separate entity and outside the jurisdiction of where they take place. Provided those sites are operated to Olympic principles and LGBT participants and spectators are treated equally and have free access at the games themselves I don't see what goes on in the rest of the country is relevant.

Have you ever taken a bird or your Missus or both to watch Saints?
Wurzel replied to chocco boxo's topic in The Saints
Mine regularly comes to matches when I go nowadays. I spent most of her first home game praying nobody sat around us could overhear her comments such as " the other team have got pretty uniforms" and "do the ones running along the sidelines choose their own flags" But she enjoyed it. Within a few months we were amongst 1400 Saints fans at her first away game at Carrow Rd. 1399 Southampton necks were craning to our left to see our attack at the far end. She, on her own, was facing to the right, flicking Vs at the Norwich fans in the home end. To be fair not sure which was the more embarrassing. -
Bournemouth - Real Madrid Southampton - Real Sociedad Pompey - Real Itycheck

They were the smokescreen whilst the Rooney to Chelsea, Torres to Saints deal gets sorted.
-
Hope it's the former, the latter can get rather messy.
-
Yeah right. That's what Wonga told me as well

Don't get me started on consumers brainwashed by some - by no means all - vastly overpriced "designer labels". If only I had more time...

For me "World Class" whether it be player or manager means you hold your own on the world stage. i.e reach and stand out in world cup finals or in the case of individuals like Bale whose nations aren't up to scratch, perform to that level in club competitions i.e. Champions League and equivalents. Is MP there yet? Think he has the potential, but still needs a few years more experience to prove it. Hopefully he'll do it with us.

I'd like to think even Turkish himself will have to admit THAT is funny. Great work Bear. (Sue's nothing like I imagined here though)
-
And Chelsea are willing to wait till the season starts to get Rooney. Still expecting to see Torres in a Saints shirt this season.
-
When his career is done and dusted Rooney will find himself filed away in the "What Could Have Been" section of the football legends filing cabinet. If only his commitment was as big as his ego.
-
Damn. I have a strong dislike for Celtic and Lennon but have to admit that both he and the club deserve respect for the way the deal was handled and the comments afterwards. Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk 2
