  1. I'd like to think even Turkish himself will have to admit THAT is funny. Great work Bear. (Sue's nothing like I imagined here though)
  2. And Chelsea are willing to wait till the season starts to get Rooney. Still expecting to see Torres in a Saints shirt this season.
  3. When his career is done and dusted Rooney will find himself filed away in the "What Could Have Been" section of the football legends filing cabinet. If only his commitment was as big as his ego.
  4. Damn. I have a strong dislike for Celtic and Lennon but have to admit that both he and the club deserve respect for the way the deal was handled and the comments afterwards. Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk 2
  5. 1 Arsenal 2 Chelsea 3 Man Utd 7 Saints 18 Sunderland 19 Stoke 20 Hull
  6. [video=youtube_share;g1T71PGd-J0]
  7. Rooney to Chelsea >>> Torres to Saints £18m
  8. Arboreal expert required. Are those trees native to a) Scotland b) Germany c) Both d) Neither e) Staplewood
  9. This. Possibly Davies 3rd and Paine 4th as goals adds to value but apart from that agree with the whole post.
  10. Has he tried Cash for Gold ? Seriously, that's the trouble with precedents. Once you've done it for one it's hard to justify not doing it for another. At least we know there's a maximum of twelve who can try the same thing.
  11. If the players take to the pitch wearing glowing yellow headbands you could well be onto something.
  12. History is in the past. What's happening now is the present. Whilst "the now" should not ignore "the past", "now" is also creating more history for the future.
  13. I really can't get myself worked up over a football shirt. Doesn't really worry me what the team play in and not a fan of stripes. As to whether I'd buy it, I would NEVER buy ANYTHING I didn't like just to follow the herd. So irrespective of who or what it represents, do I like it from a style and design point of view? Simple answer. NO.
  14. I am going to boycott Budweiser and Stella untill they back down over these bullying tactics. OK, so I never drink either of them anyway, can't stand either of them, but it's the principle that counts. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2338129/Giant-US-firm-makes-Budweiser-crushes-tiny-UK-brewers--naming-beer-childrens-primary-school.html Although to be fair I can see how people could confuse the two.:rolleyes:
  15. Caption says "pictured as teenagers shortly after they first met" Echo-speak for "most up to date photo of them both that we had."
  16. A story about a riot in China over exams. "What has this to do with our friends down the road?" I hear you ask. It was the following passage that made the connection in my mind. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/china/10132391/Riot-after-Chinese-teachers-try-to-stop-pupils-cheating.html
  17. How about those of us that know you but still don't have a bleeding clue
  18. If it is that's another £45 (or whatever it'll cost) staying firmly in my wallet.
  19. As opposed to be being recorded a few days later ?
  20. Ties in with what I heard this time last year, that we could forget media speculation at the time, club were only looking at U25s that were or had been regular U21 Internationals that had progressed (or were likely to, Clyne? ) to full national side
  21. He's already said he will use that time to get to know area and get himself settled before meeting up with his new teammates. So when pre-season starts he can concentrate 100% on tactics and getting to know team-mates without those personal life distractions. No such thing as too early.
  22. Great response to a certain previous thread Quite agree, not only is the club doing everything right, it's doing it (with the exception of the public side of NA's dismissal) in the right way.
  23. Same here. I'd have been happy with red & white versions of either of those for ourselves.
