  1. Keeper bottled it and never got close to the ball. As did the player (may have be Le Fondre) who allowed Boruc to get to his second "juggle" under no pressure when even a slight challenge may have won the ball or stopped him reaching it.. Lack of commitment like that from players is why they are going down.
  2. He did. Something I always found strange considering that in order to make sure that tickets were always available for a proportion of casual fans, the club charter at the time stated a maximum of 23000 STs would be available.
  3. That is NOT how people normally fold their arms. Has he just dropped a baby or something?
  4. Let's face it, that's the only way QPR are going to stay up.
  5. This. Whether it was fixed as in both teams coming to an agreement beforehand we'll probably never know. But both teams played the full 90 minutes in a spirit of "a draw suits us, let's not do anything that makes them want to try and beat us" Bolton also drew 0-0 that day at home to Fulham to stay a point above us (2 pts for a win in those days) so a win would have made us Champions on goal difference. Who knows, maybe both games were "pre-arranged"
  6. What happens? My guess is you end up closing down 1000s of privately owned petrol station businesses who happen to be supplied by BP and Esso. Meanwhile Shell and the others can't keep up with demand so they put up their prices. Meanwhile BP and Esso sell their surplus stocks to Shell etc so they can keep up with demand at the new higher prices. Best laid plans and all that.
  7. The fact it happens is no surprise. Naming individuals/companies - with documentary evidence - is significant
  8. Back in the pre-Sky, pre-Premier League days it was probably bigger. Winning the title over 42 games was a bigger achievement, but winning that one off final, one of the few, if not the only, matches live on TV in the entire season, was the game that everyone would remember.
  9. Just jumped a place before kick off thanks to Sunderland losing. 11th place up for grabs if we win today.

  11. I love the second look up after he had shot. For a second he thought he'd missed it
  12. Anything he can do ....... [video=youtube_share;kXTFeFRPlbc]
  13. Wasn't (maybe still is) Sue Barker an ST holder?
  14. Is there a scientific reason why just watching that - let alone actually being somewhere like that - causes my nuts to somehow turn themselves inside out and try to hide somewhere around my lower stomach area?
  15. When you can stand at Weston Shore or Vikky Park and watch todays giant cruise ships going out on a daily basis, sometimes 3 or 4 in a row, another Titanic really wouldn't be that impressive
  16. If Cortese says they're leaving .... then they're leaving !
  17. Doesn't make you less of a fan. Just makes you look like a knob that doesn't know how to dress properly and probably needs Mummy's help on schoolday mornings.
  18. Celebrating? Looked more like saying goodbye to me,
  19. Older readers will remember Jaqueline Bisset in The Deep
  20. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/9904640/Arsenal-poised-to-be-subjected-to-1.5bn-takeover-bid-from-Middle-East-consortium-within-the-next-few-weeks.html £1.5billion for Arsenal !!! How can people with so much money overlook the bestest bargain in football.?
  21. Not bad. Prefer this pic of her myself. Definitely a couple of points of interest worthy of discussion.
  22. £13.5m. Allegedly very close to the figure ML purchased Saints for. Not much dispute over which one was the better value for money
  23. Just been driving down the m27, it appears PCC have been making preparations
  24. Try as I might i just can't think what you were trying to order to get that by accident. Add me to the ever growing olives list. Green ones, black ones, stuffed ones, plain ones, marinated ones. Early 20s I always picked white wine over red, one glass of red and my tongue & lips would feel like they'd doubled in size, 2 glasses and the headaches would start. Now it's red every time. Used to drink lager because it was "trendy", now it's a last resort if no ales are available. With olives. I've always eaten whatever I'm given, even as a child, but things I didn't like even in 20s but now have a liking for include (not at the same time) blue cheeses, sprouts, parsnips, mayonnaise, olives, muesli, kippers, poached eggs, tea and black coffee both with no sugar (used to be milk 2 sugars for both). Oh, did I mention olives? And for some strange reason, am I the only Englishman who hates tomato ketchup and dislikes chips more every time I have them?
  25. Putting aside the personal tragedy for a second and talking accidents in general , why are our roads closed for so long after accidents? This one was around half eight last night. Want can the Police and/or investigators hope to find at 11am this morning that they couldn't find/measure/photograph within a few hours last night.
