And the Football League say sort it bythe end of the season or you're gone. Tick tock tick ........ So how will they be replaced next season? One fewer relegated or one extra promoted from Conference?

Over five million views on this thread Yet still the skate b@st@rds aren't dead No arrests have been made And no creditors paid But we'll carry on warming the bread

You know what you've gone and done. A whole new meme to keep us occupied, Nutjob Limericks I'll chip in with The blue few formed their own trust To stop their club going bust But we have no doubt Their funds will run out And all of their dreams turn to dust. Next.

Is that the technical expression for closing ones sphincter as tightly as possible to prevent ****ting oneself?

Like the way they publish the real time crowd figure on the blue roof front hoarding. Actually, change crowd for attendance for a more accurate definition

Recent calculations have shown that by taking reading material into the toilet a "visit" can extend to half an hour or more, sometimes twice or more a day. Extrapolate this over a lifetime and the amount of time wasted is frightening. So for the next 40 days I will be giving up taking a dump.

That's 15 that we consider surplus to requirements ?!?!?! Christ what would Pompey give to have a squad like that ? #WTFILN

Great quote.

Exactly how I see it, on the assumption that (can someone confirm?) under liquidation the assets .i.e. FP become his under the floating charge. I bet the buyer at Tesco is reserving some new shelves and trolleys as we speak.

Is the January transfer window a waste of time?
Wurzel replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
I'd get rid of it, but then I'd get rid of transfers full stop from the minute a season start till it ends. It would be a much better test of managerial skill (no mid season sackings for them either) to have to pick a squad at the start of a season and stick with it come what may. It would put a stop to the likes of QPR trying to buy their way out of trouble, and make clubs a lot more careful with who they buy. The summer break should be plenty long enough to sort out your squad for the coming season -

They could become LLLLLLLLLLLLLLortsmouth and join the Welsh league New ethics? Won't sell tickets for 3 games when they can't be sure there will BE another 3 games ?

http://www.socceramerica.com/article/50138/qatargate-doubts-over-qatar-2022-linger.html English, well American, article on it. No real surprises but they name plenty of names so must have some hard evidence.

10/10 But still trying to work out why they picked 75% as a pass mark when there's only 10 questions

That could be the title for his biography. Might not reach the intended audience though

Joined S4E in 2003 as Bursledon Saint but was re-christened Wurzel (as it rhymed apparently ) when I moved (now back there). That name stuck since on there, Saintsfun, B_Anter, to here and, worryingly, in real life to the extent that I'm sure some people are unaware it's not my real name. There was a time I almost felt I lived on S4E, refusing the fiver on her is a self imposed limit to my activity. Managed to miss Amygate too, think I was also on holiday at the time. Would love to read the proper story sometime

Are people beginning to see what Cortese is up to?
Wurzel replied to ByTheGolacs's topic in The Saints
Not really. He was given a longish contract (4 years?) , he completed his part of the project early, he can now have his contract paid up in full and do what he likes for the next 18 months or so . Might not be exactly how he wanted it to end but everyone's a winner - provided of course that the New Man does indeed turn out to be the better man for the "next" project, for that only time will tell. -
Yesterday I was disgusted Today, more rationally I can see the bigger picture. I do feel NA had taken us as far as he was capable - top of the strugglers. Yes the timing of the decision seems really strange but even the good run we are on has, in several games, been achieved more by luck than judgement. My initial judgement was probably clouded by the fact he is such a nice guy - would I feel the same way if we replaced a Gus Poyet or Colin ****** with the same record? - probably not. When the new owners took over they declared their vision for the club and it does appear that nothing is going to get in the way of that. It really does leave fans in a dilemma. Everyone likes to win, - most of us including myself have said in the past we'd be happy with mid-table mediocrity and/or championship football, but really, long term, what's the point of that? - but more and more it seems the only way to be a winner is to act in a way we, the fans, don't want. Catch 22, vicious circle, call it what you will but the game - as we know and love it - is in danger of disappearing up it's own arse.

So my comment when last weeks game was called off that they have already played their final game and it slipped by unnoticed is still yet to be proved wrong
-
However, the remaining players prefer a rigid training schedule and are not happy with the idea of being told to turn up at low tide.
-
Shame. So they've already played their last ever game then
