  1. Can you seriously not tell the difference between individual predictions made by one person who mostly are not climate scientists and the overwhelming consensus view of thousands of researchers who are climate scientists?
  2. I'm still using the Sony LED lit LCD tv in bought in May 2009. Much more natural colour than the over saturated HDR versions fashionable atm

    Afghanistan

I dont claim by any means to fully understand the politics but it was far more complicated and nuanced than 'funding the Taliban'. Qatari and Saudi support was for one specific faction within the Taliban which was fighting against other factions. It's all mixed in with antipathy to Iran, different interpretations of Islam and internal policies. Turkey was also funding them. Odd they aren't vilified in the same way.
  5. Arf. It's not that crazy. Full beards are linked to high testosterone which is also linked to increased aggression.

    Afghanistan

Analysis I've heard is that the Afghan security forces were deliberately set up to be reliant on US command and control to sto hem getting too independent and / or uppity - which left them useless once the head left. Other issue is the regional commanders had agreed over a year ago to give up peacefully to the Taliban as part of the peace deal in Doha.

    Afghanistan

Around $1 trillion has been spent on war (US + allies costs) 20 years wasted and thousands of people are dead. The entire GDP of Afghanistan is $20 billion. We could have pumped in $20 billion pa on education and infrastructure for 20 years, saved $600bn and countless lives and probably had a more stable country. .
  8. Lol. Fair enough
  9. Erm slightly disingenuous. You're married to a British woman who has one Iraqi born parent and who isnt religious according to your previous posts
  10. Agree. He opens himself up to criticism but the ganging up says some unflattering things about the people who do it
  11. Yes, it's mostly well intentioned - but its still racist, albeit at the lowest end of the scale, because they only say it because she's brown. She gets it despite being British born and bred whilst the white immigrant, English as a second language doctors she works works with don't. My parents are both white non British, so I am less established British than her - but I never get questioned or told how good my English is or that 'my lot' are okay. Its primarily about being made to feel separate and not really being accepted. Even if you are well intentioned working from the premise that someone is foreign because they are brown or black and British because they are white is wrong.
  12. Ha, no idea! mine cant work the car air conditioning (Its too hot! Its too cold!). Most racism isnt vicious 'you cunt' type its just unintentional drip drip of making you feel you don't really count or belong. Almost every day my missus, third generation Yorkshire will get patients asking her where she is from, telling her how good her English is or how much nicer 'your lot' is than some of those 'others'.
  13. Why? Your claim was rebutted then - 3 only started free to roam after the European Parliament introduced the legislation. It was becoming law so they got in slightly ahead for the PR value - which some credulous, hard of thinking people lapped up....
  14. Dumb woke libs and darkies complaining about taps that don’t turn on, pink plasters, white skin makeup and sunglasses that don’t fit. Can’t imagine there would be any kind of hysterical outrage if there were black only plasters and makeup, or taps that didn’t work for white people

Exempt from hotel quarantine. Not exempt from home quarantine.

Lol. You'd be amazed at the number of exemptions. I happen to work for an organisation that works internationally. That's enough.

Not in my case, he just asked me what the weather was like in Amsterdam, which I could truthfully answer since I was there for five hours. In any case you can easily lie to them or on the passenger locator form - they have no capacity to check. They can only see when you left this country, not what other countries you entered. I have a job that exempts me from hotel quarantine but the immigration guy didnt know that.

Don't even have to do that. Fly back from Turkey or wherever via Amsterdam. Get a new covid test without even having to leave Schipol. Fly home.

The whole traffic light and quarantine system is a joke. For example the UK classifies some countries with open borders as red and some as green. Want to visit a red country without penalty? no problem either just get a flight to a place close to the border and drive your hire car over or get an indirect flight, changing places in somewhere green or amber. At immigration at Gatwick I got asked a couple of cursory questions with no check on my answers. Nobody looked at my PCR tests. When I got home I simply got two calls on my mobile asking if me if I was quarantining at home - to which the answer could easily have been 'yes' whilst you were sat in football game or crowded club.
  21. Ah good. Some more lectures from white people to black and brown people about how since they don’t experience racism then it must all be in the darkies minds
  22. Although its an issue everywhere, it does seem to be worse in some of the Northern cities. My partner comments how much more relaxed and friendly people in Sussex are towards her generally than in Leeds where she's from.

Only if we can get watertight life insurance. The mind control thing could hamper tactics too, unless Bill Gates supports Saints

It’s dick swinging on both sides. Neither of you were ever going to pay so what was the point of throwing down that particular empty gauntlet?
  25. I think he meant it as a joke. That’s the trouble though, no judgement. 50,000 people losing their jobs for a political philosophy doesn’t raise that many laughs
