    Coronavirus

I wonder where India's Modi was last night...... Two men have spent 45 days in prison in India with no word of their release after saying cow urine and dung is not a cure for Covid-19 on social media. Erendro Leichombam, an activist, and Kishorechandra Wangkhem, a journalist, refuted claims made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party that cow excrement can protect against coronavirus. The men were swiftly dragged from their houses in the state of Manipur and arrested after local BJP party members reported their posts to police and imprisoned indefinitely. India's laws allow the state to imprison people for up to 12 months without trial or formal charge.
  3. Agree with this. They are trying to do too much and as a result whilst some remains great, a lot of it is poor. Stick to news, documentaries, education and other public service broadcasting. Maybe a couple of UK tv channels and radio stations. Make all the programming available worldwide You can lose things by doing too much as well as by doing too little. The more mission creep you get the more you lose public support
  4. How would you keep the cells alive without a blood supply? just FYI I’ve never been religious. You’re the first person who has ever made me think there could be something in it.
  5. That’s the problem for NI - almost no-one likes the status quo but there isn’t clear majority support for any kind of constitutional change

I know. The factcheck link is more targeted at anybody who hasn’t read a Collins Dic post before and might think there is some truth in it

    Coronavirus

Of course, that's the point. You wear it when it might make the difference between getting infected and not. Walking in the woods you don't need it. Sitting in a packed Victorian theatre with bad aircon for three hours, it wont offer you sufficient protection to be useful. On a tube for ten minutes, sure I will.

Friend of family is just getting over it. Only 24, super fit, no other conditions, 10 days of awful back pain, muscle cramps and headaches, unable to move for five days

    Coronavirus

That's true. Picking up a few virus particles at a time will boost immunity. Picking up thousands at a time will likely lead to infection. Its all about dosage and length of exposure.
  11. I can see see Leadbetter, Burnham and Starmer as ministers but none of them as PM. I still have a hope David Miliband will make a comeback.
  12. Oooh. I recently bought one specifically to use of work trips. It refused to log on to the hotel wifi and my phone's hotspot. Total waste of time and money so far.

  14. Not really. How did that work out for her after Geoffrey Howe's 'particularly wounding attack'?
  15. Gawd. I'm writing a post covid Agile Working Policy right now. Don't say I have to find a desk for a fat lazy tosser.
  16. Its copycatting the name of character from the film Snatch. He likes to think he's a cool, good looking hardman. It's another delusion.

Yep it was obvious from the letters they have already agree a time and method of bringing him back into some other portfolio. Will be a mistake by Johnson though because 90% of the people I know, of all parties think he’s an oliagenous twerp
  21. I'm sure you've got a point - its just that neither you or anybody else know what it is. Lewes, Sussex
  22. Thing is - you aren't. You think you're some kind of witty geezer still strolling around unchallenged. Fact is you've turned into a sad old reactionary gammon bitching about how the world has changed.
