Most don't turn up all week, every week

This is possibly one of the least important football weekends of Saints' season. He was enjoying a break I imagine.

In fairness you have to say how often you think he does.

This is not good news...............its GREAT news. Whilst Chelski and Arse attract youngstes from all over the world, we need to build our reputation as the best Academy for the best of UK talent. A place where the kids will get an opportunity to play, and get recognised. Thats why the OC getting the call to the England U18s is also so important to our development as a club.

From different sides of what?

It depends on your definition of pointless. If it doesn't matter to you then don't conform; but then don't complain if you get passed over, or don't get invited back. I agree the way you hold your cutlery doesn't make you either refined or a slob, but it does go toward creating the overall impression. We all judge, and get judged.

Manners matter. Politeness and courtesy matter. Personal Hygiene matters. Above all else, it shows respect for others. If you're one of those who don't care what other think of you, then that leeches into all aspects of your life, which will be the poorer for it. Clearly many don't agree, but my guess is that if you are invited to a black tie dinner, you'll conform. The choice, however is yours. If you want to shovel your food in and splatter your fellow diners by talking and eating, then fire way. Whether you get invited back is another thing. As an IT bod, if you wear jeans and a T shirt, as opposed to a suit and tie will it impact upon your ability to do the job, absolutely not. If your personal hygiene impacts upon colleagues, it will.

Just done my predictions on the BBC site - an incredibly tight table:

Indeed, as Gill just said about Manu, they operate on a wages to T/O ratio of 50%. But then again, they lack ambition.

I retract my earlier statement that this thread should now close! Chinnery has a charge over the only Assets - the Ground and the players, although I guess he may have needed to gibe up his charge over the players. Although no detals of the sale have been released, I'm guessing he has retained title to the Ground to secure his £14m+ so far invested. That again implies the PFC Realizations (cracking name for a football club) have to pay him rent. They are already short of cash, so who is going to lend the, funds??? Perhaps this has a while to run yet.

and so this thread should close......it can always be re-opened in March

And where would they play?

You are the owner of a Humberside Hotel with 17-20 guests of dubious financial credentials. Do you let them stay in the hope they settle their bill in the morning, or kick them out before a breakfast of grilled bread?

If we average 2 points per game I'd be delighted.

The word you're looking for is evidence.

You dismiss all the internet rumours, and then go on to start one of your own. We just have to accept that we are very unlikely to find out the reasons, and just let it be. It is what it is.

By inference, he wasn't pro Souness, Jones, Hoddle, Redknapp, Burley or Dutchmen then. FFS. Its equally no secret he was kept on because he knew the ropes in this transitional period between old and new regime. Perhaps his job is done, and in common with the rest of the set-up we are going to appoint a Premier league FD? I do not expect any clarification from this privately owned company on this back office support function decision, nor do I need any.

Absolutely ridiculous to expect the Club to reveal their hand in public.
-
He may have been nominated simply because they only have 25 players over 21.
